Oh yeah... does anybody have an up to date of TBL Name = Popomundo Names?
TBL name: B. Stinson --> Popomundo name: Rory Dunning

... since I'm not in either band, and probably wouldn't make the list of known names. ;)

Heh. April the kissing bandit blew in from the Uni to quickly get her flirt on with the guys from Never Dies today while you were out jammin 8-) She also said "Hi. Nice to meet you. I'm April. Here's the key to my house." to the new guys :chuckle:

But, yeah we really should get that together it gets hella confusing. Once we get it all set I'll put a whole cast of characters list up in the KB for reference. I'll try to pull it together as I think I have it mostly...

Thanks for the list. I was missing a few people.

One thing we should all keep in mind when we're writing songs is to not put an instrument as "dominant" in a song if we don't have a member of the band that plays that instrument. I'm thinking that would bring down the performance when it's played live. Once we've built up our skills we can write songs to specifically take advantage of our skills. For example, if Tyrone Fulton ends up learning the basic string instrument skill and the electric guitar skill and has 5 stars in each, Never Dies should make sure their new songs feature "dominant electric guitar".

Speaking of that instrument selection stuff for your songs... does anyone know how exactly that works in the game?

Because at first I was wondering how I, as a solo artist, could use a whole band of instruments in my songs when I'm only one guy... then I thought about the fact that all real solo artist have friends or "extras" who fill-in the other instrument spots. Does the game work this way, or does it punish your peformances for using more instruments than your artist/band has?

You should join one of our bands of course. :-p :-D

I would, but I hate punk rock with an extreme passion... and even though the music itself isn't present in the game - my style of instrument usage, lyrical motivation, song titles, and especially art, doesn't come close to something that would fit a punk band.

Plus, I'm not much of a team player when it comes to online games... I like playing things my way, and on my own time ;)

You can play any songs no matter what they are written for or what skills/instuments you have. We're doing punk covers of Reggae songs and Metal songs, we're just playing it in our style which is the important thing. So no matter what the song was written to include you do your version of it, focus on lead vocals and whatever genre skills you'd need first I'd guess.

You can always say he looks suspicious and have him searched 8-)

To update you guys on the jam session thing; I appear to have been right it's in the neighborhood of 35% progress total that you can gain from each jam, so the less songs you select the more progress will be made on each. We set our jam yesterday to three songs and got about 13% on each, we'd gotten about 8-9% on four songs in previous jams.

It appears you don't get specific update text when you are learning, but you'll see the Master gets 'Spent the day teaching the nooble art of Punk Rock' they say you can learn the skill at any time but usually it is 6-8 updates. I've been pumping up my intelligence rating to hopefully make my teaching go a bit faster than when I was all "Math is hard!" before :-D Anyone wanting to learn Punk Rock should get to a relationship with Palmer where you can ask to be his apprentice and then hang out at NYU with us and select to follow him so you don't miss any updates.

To revist the shudder inducing topic of the week April doesn't do quickies or sex out on the sidewalk somewhere  So unless you want a military boot where the sun don't shine don't do it. The whole thing is kind of a moot point as benefecial to relationships goes though, because like singing or joke telling there is actually a sex skill and without it Aprill will probably just laugh at you. Possibly the next time she's hanging out songwriting she could use the distraction though.

(See how much less revolting that is in third person??)

Well since yer new to town there's not much you can do but keep talking to people and buying random girls drinks in Central Park until you build up enough of a relationship with them to where you start getting hug and kiss interactions made available to you...

Is any of that 'intimacy' stuff important for your character? 'Cause I've pretty much ignored all that(since my guy hasn't complained about it yet), and am focusing on making music and money.

Speaking of money, I make $1000 a week now!

I quit my deadbeat job being a clerk at a car dealership and became a clerk at a hotel!

An $800 pay increase! :-D

I couldn't get any of the sales jobs that were out there for like a grand so I ended up with a cleaner job at the bank for $600 as it was either that or go back to another $360 bar job. :dunno: I'll see if next week I can move up to one of them since you have to work for a week at a job before quitting. I eventually want to learn Art & Design I think it is so that I can become a tatoo artist. Free ink for everyone!!! =D>

Wow, where do you guys get these big jobs? I have been looking through the papers for the last few days, but the only big jobs are for big stuff like a CEO and stuff.

Also, can wages be lowered by the people who run the place you're at? I'd hate to get lured into a huge wage for a low job, and then have the boss jack my wage down to a 'normal' one.

All you have to do is wait at the route to the place you want to go and after a couple of updates you will end up there.

:)

Slowly make your way here! :-D
