They should just cancel the season right now. It seems like they are trying to give themselves hope by not cancelling it right now. Bunch of dumbasses.

If the NHL returns this season, I won't be watching.

Re: Official NHL 2012 Off-Season & Lockout Thread
I wonder how long the teams can afford to be locked-out for. For example, is it possible that the Coyotes will end fold if the lock-out lasts more than a season?
I certainly won't be watching the NHL if it comes back this season, either. The league feels tainted now. The previous lock-out was depressing, but this one feels moreso. But maybe it just because this one is here and now.

I'm enjoying watching the replays of old games on NHL Network. At least you know it's going to be a good game, even if you might already know who wins.
Also I just found this site and EHM game a month or so agao. So I'm good for my hockey fix.

Re: Official NHL 2012 Off-Season & Lockout Thread
1. Coyotes are saving money right now....so they are happy.
2. Its teams like Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Boston, NY Rangers, Detroit, Chicago, and to a lesser extent LA and Pittsburgh who need to stand up and be heard now. (Also add Winnipeg to the list)
They are the teams losing $ right now, or potential $ (Kings capitalizing on Stanley Cup CHampionship has now been killed), Washington as well.
These top end teams who make money when the season is gone SHOULD be screaming at Buttman, but.....they are not. Because of that idiot who runs that team in Boston that so many people here have loved or do love.
Time for the big boys to get their act in gear on the NHL side of things. And on the NHLPA side of things.....the 4th liner better hurry up and realize that they are getting the shaft from Fehr et al, and not having themselves looked after.
Pretty soon, if this thing is not solved:
1. NHL will be dead.
2. the owners of the real NHL markets (especially Canadian ones) are going to get jumpy and look to do something else. Or someone else will look to forming a new league....which will start in Canada and go from there.
3. This would result in all those 3-4 liners losing their jobs....because won't be enough teams. Only 10 or so to start.
4. fehr---Get your head out of your arse.
5. Buttman--Get your arse out of your head.
EIHL----LOL LOL, GO NOTTINGHAM

Take Boston out of that group. Bruins owner, Jeremy Jacobs, is one of the driving forces behind this lockout.batdad wrote:1. Coyotes are saving money right now....so they are happy.

Re: Official NHL 2012 Off-Season & Lockout Thread
I know he is....I believe I called him " that idiot who runs the team in Boston". He is a complete moron, and is losing money to protect the guys who will never make a penny in FLorida and the rest of the BAD MARKETS.
Total moron. Boston belongs in the top group....not in with the other morons, but their owner is the biggest moron of them all.
Again this is not to say the NHLPA is right. Just that the owners are as dumb as posts.

Re: Official NHL 2012 Off-Season & Lockout Thread
I've heard alot that the owner of the Bruins is the worst of all and that he is as stubborn as Buttman. Never wants to hear anything and people should always think the way he thinks and nothing else. Even the players asked the NHL to get him out of the negociations. He seems to like to lick the buttman.

As far as I know J.Jacobs is the man who tells what to do and Buttman just takes all the Adam Oates that hits the fan, so the owners like Jacobs don't have to get their hands messy. I wonder when will the puck hit the ice next time
