Hehe, you got the only two that's not good two-way in Nylander and Tymashov

Both have electric skills though.

I just wish Nylander had some heart, to me, it just doesn't look like he gives the effort needed. I could be completely wrong about the kid, but I just don't know about him

He's not great two-way but he's working on it, his skating style looks kind of low effort though, he's just so smooth, he will be a star in Toronto in a few years.

I released Loic because I have too many good young defencemen and he never played a game for me in Boston. The only thing I have left over from the trade is the draft pick. Do I give the pick back to the Islanders? I'm ok with not having Leduc on the team or Trotman for that matter because I have 9 Dmen signed, all ready to push for spots who are 22 and under.
Sounds like you sorted it out for youself.

So despite hitting a serious rough patch and getting bit by the injury bug pretty badly, I'm happy with our Q1 results. We're currently 12th in the conference but we've double our Q1 wins for seasons 1. We've got as many wins in Q1 as we did in 40 games of S1. Now if I can just get my guys healthy again and fix my lines back up.

Okey, just made the trade, sent Matt Beleskey and Zach Trotman to Panthers in exchange for Max Jones and Jared McAmmond (ECHL-player). To replace Trotman i brought up Fabbro, he will slot in beside Krug and play on the PK to start, might give him a spot on the PP if that stops being good.
In other news i'm in 2nd place in the East right now, team is doing great, Senyshyn found one of his hot streaks. We also lead the league in goals allowed.

You are going to like Fabbro. I called him up due to injuries and never sent him back down again. I had him on my powerplay. He was the reason why I got into the playoffs, thanks to his two goal performance (tying and winner) in the final game of the season.

Feel pretty darn happy with my team right now, finally set my lines for now. Sitting in 8th right now but i have 3 points up to 2nd and have played only 51 games where most teams have played 54. Oh yeah, Max Jones has 4+6 in his first 9 games

. Fabbro has started slower with 0+0 and below 6.5 Av R, but i'm not stressing it since he's +3 and the team is ticking.
Marchand-Hayes-Senyshyn
Jones-Brown-Zibanejad
Novikov-Spooner-Pastrnak
Kempe-Koko/Lindberg-Randell/Connolly
Skjei-Faulk
Krug-Fabbro
Zboril-Morrow
C.Miller

I am in complete disbelief with my team.
Horvat, Spooner, and Connolly are all within reach of a point per game.
Toffoli is not.
Zboril has slowed down a bit, but now Morrow has 5 points in last 5 games and Krug has 4 in that time,
Subban has won 7 of his 8 starts.
The team is still scoring at a decent clip, and allowing 2 goals per game on average in the last little while. We are 5-2-0 in our last 7 games. Whipped 6-3 by Montreal though in one of those losses.

So I'm looking for trade partners and I found some amazing trades but I'm not sure which ones to pick. I can do:
Jimmy Hayes for Christian Dvorak (3/5 like Johnny Huberdeau)
Jimmy Hayes for Anthony Duclair (3/4 like Toffoli)
Jimmy Hayes for Eemeli Visuri (3/5 a poor man's Toews but could have trouble adapting to USA)
Jimmy Hayes for Filip Chlapik (3/5 like Malkin but has a mellow personality)
I'd obviously go for Chlapik if he wasn't mellow but now I'm considering those 4.
As for Trotman he gets
Trotman for Jake Virtanen (3/5 like Smyth-Pelly he's a proven NHLer but doesn't produce points)
Trotman for Brady Gilmour (3/4 like Adam Henrique)
Trotman for Carl Grundstrom (2/4 poor man's Hoffman but proven in SHL and AHL, could have trouble adapting to USA and casual personality)
Trotman for Antoine Crete-Belzille (2/5 like Dougie Hamilton but I already have Theodore, Krug, Zboril and Tye Graham as LDs)
I have 4 offers for each and they're all good but I have a hard time choosing which ones I want. I might go Chlapik and Virtanen but I'll go read on personalities before that, I want to know if mellow affects the player a lot.

I would go Duclair. Just my opinion though !

Yeah, Duclair would be a nice deal. I like Visuri. I drafted him and he's on my team. He's a defensive power forward. He's not on a level with Duclair though.

Well darn... Every trades were refused except for Gilmour, Crete-Belzille and Grundstrom. Also Winnipeg put Trouba on the block and I did Trotman+Hayes for him to see if they'd accept and they did. I would be happy but Trouba is actually 25 in february so I cannot accept the deal

I also saw Dante Fabbro who might be a good player and some people use him on their team here so he could be good.

40 games into season 1. Exact same record in 2nd quarter as 1st quarter 13-4-3. This is a real team.
Goals:
Horvat 15
Spooner 14
Beleskey-Connolly 12
Toffoli - Marchand 8
5 guys with 4
1 guy with 3
3 guys with 2
6 guys with 1
Only skaters not to have scored for me? Kempainnen and Randall.
But really it comes down to goaltending and the limited shots against I have going....
I am averaging over 29 (29.3) shots per game, and am only giving up just above 24 per game (24.4).
The keepers have been solid, but there are no 2nd and 3rd chance opportunities for the opponents.
Lineup with a few guys on IR (Hayes and Koko--both due back soon, Hayes has been gone for a long time, only playing my first 9 games)
Beleskey-Spooner-Toffoli/Connolly
Marchand-Horvat-Connolly/Toffoli
Klimchuk-Griffith-Bjorkstrand
Randall-Rinaldo-Ferlin
Kempainnen
D is the same as before
Krug-Morrow (2 highest rated Dmen)
Cross-Pokka (5th and 3rd)
Zboril-Miller (4th and 6th)
Irwin (7th but still at 6.75 rating average
The two goalies alternating games right now, unless get a shutout and not back to back (has not happened yet)
Subban
McIntyre
also injured but with the big club: Shinkaruk. Pastrnak was hurt for a 2nd time in mid December, back late December and I sent him down to minors for conditioning. When he comes back...either Shinkaruk or Ferlin will be returned.
Klimchuk has stated his case for a spot on the team on third line. He is scoring a bit. 4-6-10 in 28 games, limited ice time (averaging 12 minutes, but many of those games are more like 10 minutes, and a few where if he scores early I put him on PP and/or up to 2nd line. Kid scores early, or gets a point early...he does again.
He has 3 multiple point games, and 4 where he has 1 point late in the game. All of those are in his last 15 games.

Gaboo??? (Cannot recall the rest of user name). You have salaries of 51 million for this team? How? You have entered stats, but you have not posted screenshots. Who are the big contracts you have in year 1?

Wait can I trade for a guy who's 24 year old but will be 25 before July 1st? It only says that July 1st is for veteran age

Whatever age he is when you trade for him, that's the age that counts (i think).

Quick question:
You may not trade for unsigned players/prospects!
Do we mean players that are playing for their junior teams and don't have an NHL contract yet or also players who's contracts are expiring end of 2016 and will be RFA?

I think it's all unsigned players, not sure if that rules is needed anymore but it was needed in EHM07 since the AI valued unsigned prospects very weirdly sometimes.
