Brynäs is the new Swedish champions, they won game 6 against Skellefteå with 2-0 and 4-2 in games.
Jakob Silfverberg, who is contracted by Ottawa, scored a beautiful goal and is also the player who has scored most goals ever in the final game series, maybe even the player who have scored most goals in the playoffs.

Too bad that my team, Djurgårdens IF, will play in Allsvenskan next season, well it will be a challenge to get them up to Elitserien again on EHM.

And HC Pardubice won it yesterday in the Czech league (Extraliga). Pardubice is hometown and homeclub of Hasek. They won 4-2 in games against HC Brno which was novice this season and seeded from 10th place they made it to the finals. There they lost to Pardubice.

JYP has won its second championship in SM-liiga!! They won 5th final game 2-1 on OT and series 4-1 against Pelicans that achieved their first medal ever !! Game-winning goal was shot by Eric Perrin.

I couldn't saw/listen the final game cause of evening shift But I drove through the city center and there were such a good atmosphere

As part of the famed KLM line the Tank dominated his wing throughout the 1980s...he didn't adjust well to North America, but when I think of Krutov I never think of his one year in Vancouver...Tank was a perfect description of Krutov; he was very skilled and so so strong on his skates!

Yeah I read that too. Seems like he had a really unusual relationship with the referee to say the least. I read that allegedly the referee moved into his house on the pretence that he was dying of an illness and needed somewhere to live. Allegedly Scurko stabbed him when he found out the referee had been lying about being ill and dying.

Dale Weise (Canucks) plays in Holland during the lock-out. He has been very impressive, but our league is off-course very poor compared to the NHL and most European leagues. For that reason, all players are semi-prof and have most of them have a job, fighting is not allowed. Dale has a bit of a problem with this rule, today he was sent-off for the second time in a row with a game misconduct. He now will get an automatic two game ban.

His team, Tilburg, lost at home to fierce rivals Heerenveen Flyers, 0-5.

I'm going to Rome in mid to late march and thinking about traveling to Berlin and catching the Eisbären game. Problem is that they'll need to make it all the way otherwise they won't be playing during that time, and maybe the playoffs are already over then? Assuming they do any idea how much a ticket to their games cost in the playoffs. Doesn't look like they'll be making it to the finals but would like to keep an eye out on it.

Wow, sounds like a nice little Euro trip. I guess that's what you have to do if you're coming all the way from Canada.

I couldn't find prices for the playoffs, but I found a price list for the Eisbaren regular season games (here). Tickets for an adult seem to range from €16.30 to €47.50 (note that it costs roughly an additional €5 to book online!!) and prices seem to vary according to what team they're playing (but the €47.50 I quoted seems to be the most expensive seat for the most expensive game). The €16.30 is for the cheapest seat at the cheapest game (the cheapest seat at the most expensive game is €23.30).

So I'm guessing that playoff tickets will be in the region of at least €23 - €50 depending on the seat ($30 - $66 Canadian).

Yeah, should be fun. Going to go again in the summer of 2014 for more of a party trip. Got to spend this time now traveling now as much as i can because I won't be doing it in a couple years, getting older, life is changing too much!

I think i might just buy it off a scalper if i'm in Germany and Berlin is playing. That gives me a great idea of prices though. I saw somewhere online that said 110 euros and i couldn't believe it. I was wondering if the polar bears were like the Maple leafs in the DEL. lol. Then it's just a matter of finding the schedules in english (and Berlin to make it deep in the playoffs)

Thanks for the offer, Danny. It is certainly appreciated. I'm going to wait closer to march to see how it plays out and get ahold of the playoff schedule. I think you are right that it wouldn't be smart me purchasing from a scalper.

Meh I'm glad they've left us. They were cramping our style. Who needs locked out NHLers when we have ECHL rejects!

True, they at least can skate better than biznasty. Oh, and I just read a great stat that shows some other league is just as bad as England. Norway? Cannot recall. But in his time with his Euroteam...Dale Weise scored 48 points. In the time he scored that 48...his team gave up 45 goals in total. So basically he won every game for them. Shows how great he is and he must be the Canucks answer to having Kesler injured.

Ha! You're thinking of the Tilburg Trappers in the Netherlands. Our British league is better than the Dutch league. Heck, we're on the verge of qualifying for the Olympics. I don't think we'll manage it, but we're down to the final four. It's all down to Tony Hand's tactical genius (and also Todd Kelman in all fairness).
