Waits for the smacks from Stinson (arrogant little rookie isn' he),
Don't worry, no smacks from me. I'll save that for the end of the year... that's if I can even reach all the way down from the top of the podium. :-p

Blah! I've got injuries and all of the guys that aren't injured seemed to forget how to play since last season. Enough out of you! :-p

Upto 10th. After a slow start, taking Getzlaf 11th overall isn't such a bad choice afterall, 5 Assist night isn't too bad. They all laughed too! :-D

Just a quick one... Are we planning on making this a keeper league, or restarting every year?

Nope..this won't be a keeper league; we may look at doing one for next season though. We shall see.

Good stuff. Cheers Batdad. I can now offer a few trades now knowing their's no need looking at the players age...

Also, is there any chance of you moving on the fact that Sakic and Thornton are Untouchable? :-D

Mmm.....not until you actually get serious...Boyes/Gleason for Thornton/Ohlund... is the worst counter offer in the world. Only thing worse would be if you offered guys off waivers for Big Joe. Come on. YOu want either Joe you need to be serious, not stupid. Give something to get something.

No.

As I said. Sakic/Gleason/Budaj for Getzlaf/Gleason/Kipper was a start of a real negotiation. Thornton could have gone in there...and the deal would have been fairly even...maybe even Bieksa instead of Ohlund. But you gotta give to get...You don't want to give to get...

Getz is higher than Sakic for PIM, clearly. But not for ice time, not for assists, not for shots. In fact Getz has goals and possible pp goals on Joe, but not ice time, shots, assists....and maybe plus minus is even. So it is not like Getz is WAYYYY better than Joe.

Ohlund vs Gleason...Gleason less ice, less pim, less shots, less goals, less assists. Clearly Ohlund has a small advantage here.

Kipper vs Budaj..>Kipper wins out.

So...Sakic may top Getz a little in this type of pool.
Ohlund a fair bit better than Gleason in this type of pool

Kipper is alot better than Budaj (a little more than Ohlund-Gleason), and the Flames are not that GREat a team.

So...The deal is actually fairly even, and I would have changed Sakic to THornton to get it done. INstead...garbage comes back at me. Oh well....I tried.

Again, if people want to deal with me...make a real hockey trade..don't bother making a rubbish for star offer. Like Boyes for Joe Thornton.

Batdad. The deal you offered me, i felt i got nothing. I don't mind giving, if i am all but sure to get something in return.

I weighed it up as Getzlaf for Sakic, which i got little if anything. Also looking at my hopes for Getz.
Ohlund for Gleason, again, i got a D-man that was pretty similar to what i was getting.
If i gave up Kippa, what goaltending would i then have. I already have one goalie stinking the place up. If i got another, i would be called the smelly kid.

I need +/- and/or SOG, i'm not after your charity Batdad.

Meh. CAn't trade with a guy who thinks with his heart and hopes for a player. Oh well...Thornton would have looked good on your team, and Kipper on mine. But no go. Move on...

With the team I have I feel I am doing fairly good! Especially with only 1 goaly, who has yet to play his best!

Batdad what do you want from me for Thornton, just curious?

For Thornton to be moved...there is more involved...I have to get better in my weakest spot. Guess where that is sj?

Sakic is more readily available than Big Joe. But it would still have to be one of the biggest deals this pool will ever see to make it happen.

WOW! Who knew Kevin Weekes would be such a pick up. Now New Jersey's default #1 goalie with Marty out for 3-4 months. Phew. that will help.

3-4 months? OUCH! Somebody lost a big part of their team. Brodeur was a top 5 pick in our draft.

Yep....and I took a chance knowing Kevin would play last night. Was going to waive him as soon as Marty came back. Still likely will...but it won't be for a long long time now.

Oh and also...Mark Parrish signs with Dallas...playing with Richards or Modano on one of the top lines...Guess who else signed him today?
