Is it Duncan MacPherson, their bust of a first-rounder that died while snow-boarding in the Alps. His body wasn't found for something like 15 years, I think

There was a show on that back home in Canada which discussed the mysterious nature of his disappearance. If you have time, this is an interesting account of his death.

You're right. He was released by Isles and he decided to go to welsh team to be player/coach, but first he had holiday in Alps, when he disappeared in 1989. Body and snowboard was found at 2003.

Am I right, or did one of Isles -85 picks died in young age too? Melanson was his surname, can't remember first name... Roger or somewhat...

Just looked up their 1984 picks.

Round 1- Duncan MacPherson- Died in 1989 in a mysterious Alps trip.


Round 2- Bruce Melanson- (from my hometown Saint John, NB) collapsed and died of a heart condition known as Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome in 1985 (age 18)

Looks alot like Cherepanov's death, that sucks.

His a goalie....

Played for San José in the beginning of the 90's. One of the best goalies ever in SEL too
