If you get low enough they inject money into your team. What I don't get is how I can still be losing money every month when my team leads the east. It's not like people aren't going to the games.

Go to your finances and see if anything jumps out at you. If you change the 'View' to 'Income and Expenditure', it should give you a little better idea of where your money is going.

The only thing I can see is the tickets seem to be down. I am in the playoffs now, and that is helping me make money. Next season should be solid as far as season tickets though.

I deleted my saves for the challenge. I would be for a restart, but it isn't up to me :)

I will be ready for the next one for sure :)

Ok, just started this out, and how. Even though I'm only seven games into the season, I've done fairly well, lying sixth in the conference. And now Bill Guerin, who's my MVP and captain of this lousy team got injured for two months. As an EHM veteran, I'd hate to take the easy way out and start trading, but if Joensuu, Comeau or Okposo won't be able to help me, I don't think I've got a choice. Someone's gotta be able to score goals.

Anyway, players signed for Bridgeport are goalie David Mckee, d-man Blake Kessel and forward Joensuu (unsigned prospect). I also made one trade as the general manager of Bridgeport, trading Micheal Haley to Hershey for d-man Grant McNeill. I wasn't sure if trades were allowed for the AHL team, but I went and did it anyway. :D

You can pretty much do whatever you want as GM of B'Port. Joensuu was unsigned to start your game? He was under contract for me. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

No, you're right. I forgot he was signed already. Anyway, now I lost Andy Sutton as well. My lineup s looking quite 'interesting' at the moment.

My first season is in the books. The season ended with the Islanders taking the cup. I went out and signed a big name to take Doug Weight's place. I was wanting to bring in someone else, but that person signed with the Canucks instead. You guys will see who I did bring in when I post the first quarter for season 2.

Why does the AI make so many stupid trades

Recently, the Ducks traded Bobby Ryan and a 1st rounder for 36 year old Brian Rolston.

Disturbing.

Heading into season three after being steamrolled by Buffalo in the first round of the playoffs. Had the team all set and was rolling through the preseason (two 7-0 wins and a 2-0 shutout to start exhibition play) and Mike Comrie goes down in preseason game #4 for 3 months.

Looks like Tavares will get bumped up to #1 centre. I was hoping to ease him in on the second line, but no such luck.

Not doing the challenge, but I am starting an Isles career using Lidas 1.2. The team is much worse in 1.2 than 1.1! This is quite the challenge, especially using the restricted player movement rules. Starting a brutal 2-5-2.

So Calv if I may ask why are none of the mods scores shown for challenge 12?

None of the mods finished a season of the challenge, IIRC.

I removed all users stats who didn't complete a full season, since I didn't want them to get any bonus points
