I suspect that this is just journalists making column inches but man, if there is any truth to the Leafs going after Zajac that is ridiculous.

Lou LAm loves ZAJAC> ALways has. I would not be at all surprised if they were trying to get him out of New Jersey.

Oh I don't dispute Lou's love of Zajac. Its just such a hilariously bad move for the Leafs.

Personally I don't think Leafs really want to trade JVR or even Kadri for Zaggy. Nahh, just a rumors at all.

Anyway, I got questions about Devils @ Flyers games just now, why in the world Josefson goal in OT not count? The result is 4-2. Can someone explained to me?

It doesn't count as the game was over. Won 4-2
Overtime was there as a demonstration, to let the teams try it out before the season

Torres suspended for now while the investigate his hit on Silfverberg. Hope he gets another 25 games. Freaking idiot.

The unfortunate part of things for the suspension of Torres. Believe it or not, he is not considered a repeat offender under the CBA. He would have had to have been suspended or fined in the last 18 months for that to be the case. And since he basically has not played in over 12 months....due to injury...not a repeat. Any suspension out of the ordinary will be grieved by the NHLPA and won because of the way repeat offender is defined.

At least that is what I am led to believe from Mackenzie and Friedman.

Ok misread Mackenzie--repeat offender stuff only affects his lost wages. Cannot use his history for that (to calculate how much $ he loses for his suspension), but can use it for the amount of suspension...

SO he will get 25 games at least. Got what? 21 for Hossa?

I think it was 25 for Hossa.

If he can't he will have a lot of free time to practice his counting.

It will be really "free" as he is not getting paid during that time.
A lot of money into the players' retirement fund (at least I think that is where his salary now goes that he is suspended)

As much as I like the physical element of the game, players that are reckless or intent to injure, should be punished heavily - even thrown out of the game. [-X
