Currently in my 1st season with the Islanders using Lidas 1.1, as you know the islanders start off with all their decent players out for at least 3 months. Well I managed to pick up Khabiboulin. team was doing great.. 5th place in the east for about a month, and then Khabiboulin goes out for 4 months... and i'm back to square 1 with Joey MacDonald and Yann Danis sharing the pipes.. losing games 9-1, 8-1, 10-2... I did manage to get Kesler for a 4th and 5th rounder (its what they countered with) also traded rights to Jiri Niemyl or whatever for rights to Kirill Koltsov, offered him about 1.9mil per season... thats what it took to get him out of russia, won't join until end of 07 season. I also picked up Lauri Tukonen from Tampa, he's tearing it up in Bridgeport on a line with Rob Hannigar and Blake Comeau. oh.. I also stole Hansen from Vancouver, i dunno, my scouts see alot in him, guess vancouver didn't. Anyways, After 27 games i'm 13-13-1 with NYI, and after 24 games Bridgeport is 13-7-4 with a total blowout win over Manchester 10-1. we'll see how it goes. Oh and i also tried to get Regher from Calgary he was only rated **** at the time, but even a 1st, 2nd, Guerin, and a decent prospect wouldn't get him. I'll keep pluggin away, hopefully I can stay within reach until after january. pre-season rankings had the Islanders at 27th

I'm in the end of regular season on the fourth season with Wash Caps. I've won the Stanley cup one time in 2007/2008. This season Ovechkin broke his leg and went out for 40 games. But he's back to the playoffs. Ive tried to keep the key-players and don't trade that much. Right now my team is following:

Simeon Varlamov and Scott Clemmensen

1st D: Vlasic - Green
2nd D: Alzner - Sekera
3rd D: Semenov - Davison

1st L: Ovechkin - Backstrom - Fleischmann
2nd L: C. Bourque - Booth - Upshall
3rd L: Lance Biron - Stamkos - Pavelski
4th L: M. Tedenby - B. Schenn - Yelle

I had Theodore as a starter to most resently cus Varlamov is nearly as good as Theodore and i need capspace for Green and Backstroms new contracts. Ovechkin has won the Maurice Richards Trophy all three seasons so far, not this fourth season due to a injury, Backstrom picked upp the Calder Trophy in 06/07 and the plus/minus award all four season so far. Alzner has picked up 200+ in the plus/minus in 300 games, but only eight goals so far. Green is a very solid player with 8.50 rating each season. I dont exspect to win the cup this year due to many losses in the roster and many youngsters, but in three years I think I will dominate the NHL. Young goaltender Jacob Markstrom from sweden picked up two remarcable seasons, in the london knights last season he picked up a 1.39 GAA and 95.1 SV%, this season in the hershey bears he got 0.93 GAA and a 96.8 SV% in 30 games, he had 17 and 16 shotouts in each of these two seasons.

Now im coming to you again with a little, or big problem. Forgive my kinda bad english but we dont talk that much here in sweden;) Well im in the free agents race just about right now and ive signed Brian Sutherby, Colin White, Doug Janik, Mathieu Dandenault, Matt Cullen, Matthew Lombardi and Nathan Paetsch. I also traded Rich DiPietro from NYI for Jacob Markstrom and severals of draftpicks. That gives me this team for the moment:

DiPietro - Varlamov

Sekera - Green
Alzner - Dandenault
White - Janik

Ovechkin - Backstrom - Fleischmann
X - Lombardi - Booth
Biron - Schenn - Bourque
Sutherby - Cullen - X

As you see i need a solid leftwinger to my second line, and a good enforcer to my checkingline. The problem is that my caphit is at 56.000.000 and i have absolutely no room for more signings, i also need one or maybe two backups to my starting lineups, that means that i need four players at least, and i have 700.000 in capspace. I need to cut lose one of my high payed players. And when im cutting loose that player i have to get a replacement for much cheaper salary to that player. My high payed players right now is following:

Ovechkin 7.8 m/y
Backstrom 6 m/y
Green 5.5 m/y
Alzner 4.6 m/y
Dipietro 4.5 m/y
White 4.4 m/y
Fleischmann, Lombardi and Booth 3 m/y

But i dont want to get ridd of Lombardi, DiPietro or White cus they just been signed. I can think of get ridd of Alzner and Booth but the most valuable would probably be to cut loose Backstrom, but he won the Art ross trophy with 146 points. I dont really know who to cut whom. Right now im thinking of Booth and Alzner and sign 6 new cheap players with a capspace of 7.6 m/y, that would give me the freedom to sign 6 players for 1.2 m/y each. So what would you do in my place? :dunno:

I think ive got out of the crisis and solved the biggest problems, ive started with trading away David Booth for Chris Higgins and Andrei Kostitsyn, now i have a full second line. I gave up a first round pick and a prospect for Higgins and Kostitsyn to.

2nd: Higgins - Lombardi - Kostitsyn

In: Higgins 0.8 m/y
Kostitsyn 3.5 m/y
Out: Booth 3 m/y
Profit: - 1.3 m/y

Then i signed Nik Antropov, and i dont what the hell to do with him.

But ive got my self to a trade with Devils where i sent Antropov to Jersey and got Jason Williams and Eric Belanger in the other direction.

In: Belanger 1.6 m/y
Williams 0.5 m/y
Out: Antropov 5.5 m/y
Profit: 3.4 m/y

I decided to its harder to get a new Alzner than e new bäckström(Schenn is almost ready to step in) so ive pulled of one of the biggest trades in my life. With the Blue Jackets.

IN: Chris Campoli 0.9 m/y
Brandon Dubinsky 0.9 m/y
Boyd Devereaux 0.5 m/y
Out: Nick Backstrom 6 m/y
Matt Cullen 2.8 m/y
1 round pick 2012
Profit: 6.3 m/y

Now i have a capspace on 4 m/y and enough players for a whole season. But im sad to loose a player like Nicklas Backstrom.

THat last one is going to kill you. CAmpoli is brutal in this game, Dubinsky is a 3rd liner, and Deveraux ends up on waivers in almost every game I have ever played.

Well, Dubinsky had 59 assists and 30 goals last season in 77 games. I think he can play in my topline in the first season untill Brayden Schenn is ready for the spotlights. Devereaux went to Islanders the next day to bring home Matt Bradley. I also brought Eric Fehr home in exchange for Justin Williams and a *** prospect.

I agree with batdad. You got hosed the instant you gave up a 1st rounder.

So in my Islanders game, I failed to make the playoffs, I finished at about 12th. But Bridgeport made the playoffs... somehow.. with Steve Shields the #1 Goalie for most of the season... probably the reason for the 253 goals against.. thankfully I scored 286. Comeau, Tukonen, Hansen, all did very well, as did mid season aquisition Justin Abdelkader... or Applecobbler as I call him as its easier to remember. Frans Nielsen did pretty good, I did sign Rawlyk, Bobby Chaumont, Sean O'Connor(from ECHL), and Erik Felde to Contracts with Bridgeport, if only you could sign them to 30k/y contracts in the NHL... I had offered Scott Munroe a contract, but he's takin like a month to respond.

Bridgeport will not leave first round, I have struggled against Norfolk all darn season, Gray Roberts and Evgeny Arthyukin*(SP?) kill me,my scout is a moron, tells me they lack scoring and they score like 6 goals a game against me, I will do all I can to try and get past round 1.

As for my pitiful NHL club, much needs to be done, drop the old farts and build.. Out with Guerin, Weight, Sillinger, and Shanahan, got decent D to build around, with Brian Campbell and Brandon Witt, Tomas Pock did will for me, Mark Streit could bring in some decent return, and Campoli is so cut. Meyer is cut. Bergenheim and Tambellini look very promising, I need a good, but not 40 year old center.. first line, Kesler will work out fine on 2nd or most likely 3rd. Okposo will comeback to my squad after spending a year with Everett. Nielsen, we'll see about him, also Hennigar, Drazenovic will make a good 4th line center, now that I think about it Kesler will play 2nd line, with Dominic Moore on 3rd line, has good defensive qualities.

Anyways, I still need to fart with my tactics, still learning in that department. My scoring lines give up too many goals. My PK sucks, PP is below average(except that one game I had 5 PP goals).

Onto the draft! well, after the Red Wings win the cup of course.

hahaha Good News for Bridgeport as they won their last 5 games (including 2 against Hershey) to leap them over Hershey and into 3rd place to take on the Binghamton Senators, I did better against them :)

Hi just started Red Wings game.

at the moment lines look

zetterberg-datsyuk-cole
brunette-handzus-holmstrom
draper-scatchard-samuelsson
maltby-cleary/franzen-stevenson

My defence lines got some problems, got too many LD and not enough RDs,
havent found any good trade for RD yet.

Lidstrom-Schneider
Stuart-Lilja
Fischer-Kronwall

Hasek
Ossy

First i got Scatchard as new 3rd center from phx. He did really well on
my Coyotes game and coyotes didnt seem too keen on keeping him.

Brad Stuart from Bruins looked liked solid top4 D-man. Traded him for
prospective good goalie, and some players i didnt need and Bruins seemed to
want.

I wanted to get rid of Robert Lang as 2nd line center for his age and i bet he was offensive
center who would reac bad +/- becaus he playes one way game.

Only team that wanted him was Colorado,
so I basically took anything they offered which turned out quite Ok,
Lang for Brunette which gave lot of salary room.

Spend some time looking for new 2nd line center then.Handzus looked good to me.
I got him for some young prolly "going to be good in future" foward and
lot of draft picks.

Snatched Turner Stevenson for 4th line winger role from free agency.

With this team i started season and had some trouble with then 1st
line which had holmstron on RW. i took a look at the line and it was
ranked only 2 starts in toughness. The guys prolly got hustled away from puck
by the bigger D-men.

So strarted looking for physical two-way/power
foward. The absolutely best guy for the job that was available to trade
was Cole. The guy had 16 str, 17 aggressio, 16 bravery and 18 hitting.
Only downside was his 4m salary. anyway they wanted one of my D-man
Markov so the cap hit wasnt so bad after markovs over 2m salary went to
their way.

After the last trade i kept lines pretty much the same and started
snatching more wins than losses. maybe the lines got at this points
some chemistry worked out. 0.679 at this point. to all
supprise samuelsson is team high in points after 17games. datsy-zetterberg
line had bad start but their doing good enough now. Handzus line has made
up for the slackig 1st line and handzus has out performed datsy in all aspects
pretty much. =D>

After spending 34 years with the Islanders I decided to start a new game with Montréal.

Rules:
1. no trades. :-o
2. new players have to be acquired through my own draft picks or through one free agent signing from Europe per year. :-o
3. salary cap at 50.3 Mil.

Since the salary cap went down most teams had financial troubles and put many quality players on waivers (among them Brian Rafalski who's playing for Detroit's farm team now because nobody claimed him). I had to send Laraque and Lang to AHL to make it under the cap.. ;)

I use linematching and run pretty offensive tactics. That usually gives both goalies a hard life in my games. My team scores a lot and the results are something like 8:5. But sometimes the opponents just overrun me with 8:1. I guess my tactics are not matured.. :-k

34 games played and I'm currently 3rd in the eastern conference. Hamrlik doesn't surprise in leading the league with 58 points (16 goals and 42 assists ). Koivu, Kovalev, Tanguay in the top ten. Only setback is Carey Prices' save percetage at 87.2% and therefore his avarage rating is about 7.0. I guess if i keep my current tactics i will have to give him less money in the next contract! :-D

Had pretty much luck with injuries. Only Koivu missed 4 games so far. :-p

Well... My Islanders, season 2. After 44 games played, i'm sitting atop the eastern conference with a 28-11-5 record. a 20.5% PP (Best in east) and a 83% PK (decent).

After dealing Comrie, Sutton, and Aaron Ness to the Sens for Jason Spezza (that blew my mind) Spezza has exploded for 15-17-32points in just 12 games. (I looked at the Sens, Comrie, 5 points in 10 games, and Sutton.. 0P -6, under 7AVR, Ness is in college still.

Here's how my lines look:

J. Tambellini - J. Spezza - T. Hunter
B. Shanahan - M. Fisher - R. Kesler
S. Bentivoglio - J. Lundqvist - B. Eager
Nielsen - McLean - Tukonen

B. Campbell - S. Niedermeyer
K. Koltsov - K. Sauer
R. Wilson - D. Hale

R. DiPietro
S. Munroe

Top 3s
Most Goals - J. Spezza (29) J. Tambellini (24) T. Hunter (22)
Most Assists - J . Spezza (34) J. Tambellini (32) T. Hunter (28)
Most Points - J. Spezza (63) J. Tambellini (56) T. Hunter (50)

Hunter is playing really well, but he's built like a Pontiac Sunfire, he's in for service every 2 weeks., he's only missed 6 games though.

I'm using the Isles in a private game, not for the challenge.

Made some nice changes, very young team, here's a recent box against the Bruins

Lines: Thats Garth Murray, not Glen :)

Kostitsyn/Lapiere/Hunter
Ott/Fritsche/Kostitsyn
G. Murray/Hornqvist/Bergenheim
Korpikoski/Nokelainen/Stortini

Hamhuis/Streit
Emiger/Komisarek
Brisbois/Hale

I think the secret is to trade for most of the Canadiens roster. by the looks of it anyway.

In my current game, I'm using the Lidas rosters ver 1.1 and playing as the Nashville Predators. I'm also controlling Milwaukee, their AHL affiliate. I've played just under 40 games in the first season and I haven't done ANY trading. This is in addition to following the other rules we usually use for our challenges.

This team is particularly challenging because they don't really have much depth, just a couple good players and they've got HORRIBLE goaltending. They've got Dan Ellis as their starter and he's got 12 blocker and 14 glove! The backup, Pekka Rinne, shouldn't even be playing in the NHL. He's got a 10 blocker and 14 glove. Ellis I've actually managed to get a semi-decent performance out of. He's got a record of 17-14-3 so far with a 3.44 GAA and .892 SV%. Despite these not so impressive stats, his average rating is 7.94! That's pretty good if you consider the rest. His backup, Rinne, has been horrible! He's got a record of 1-3-0. It's so bad that I can't even play him. I always end up pulling him after 1 or 2 periods. That 1 win was his only decent game. He's got a 7.50 GAA and a .766 SV% with a 4.5 average rating. I'd call up one of my minor league goalies but they're even worse!

My forward lines look like this...

Dumont - Arnott - Hornqvist
Erat - Legwand - Jessiman
Platonov - Bonk - Tootoo
Fiddler - Nichol - Belak

Peverly and Smithson might replace one of the guys on the bottom 2 lines if their morale goes too low. Earlier in the season, Jessiman was down in the minors and Pihlstrom was up with the Predators. When Pihlstrom was up he played on the top line with Dumont and Arnott. Hornqvist was down on the second line. Then Pihlstrom really started to struggle. Jessiman was really doing well in the AHL, so I decided to give him a shot. Since coming up to the Predators, Jessiman has 3 goals and 6 assists in 8 games. That's pretty good but he's also a -8, so I'm not thrilled. Pihlstrom played one game in the AHL (earning an assist) and then went out with an MCL sprain. He's out for a month. So I guess Jessiman is staying up for now. Horqvist is doing okay. He's got 17 goals and 16 assists in 38 games, but part of that is the result of who he plays with. I've been pleasantly surprised with Denis Platonov. He's a 27 year old "rookie". I offered him a contract at the start of the season and surprisingly, he joined the team right away. No waiting! I figured he'd be good checking line depth. He's played most of the season on the 3rd line and the PK but after some good play, I decided to give him some PP time. It's paid off! He's currently got 11 goals and 7 assists with a +6. I expected Tootoo to be my physical presence but I've been pretty disappointed. He hasn't been hitting much and he's only been in 4 fights (won 2). I think the only reason he's gotten the 4 fights is because the last few games I have raised his aggression to berserk in the tactics.

Here are my defensive pairings...

Hamhuis - Zanon
Suter - Weber
Koistinten - de Vries

These guys have been pretty much what I've expected of them. Solid but not outstanding. Koistinen has been the weak link though. I really want to replace him in season 2.

So my team is sitting at 10th place in the Western Conference with 39 points, an 18-17-3 record. I've made it as high as 8th place and that only last a day or two. It's been a real struggle and this is the worst performance I've gotten from a team in as long as I can remember but I'm really enjoying myself here.

Ok well, I got out of control in my Islanders game and plan to end it after this season, and start a new game with the LA Kings.

For starters I was able to trade Comrie, Sutton and rights to Aaron Ness for Jason Spezza, also I was able to trade Tambellini, Brett McLean(not MacLean) , Jesse Joensuu, and Kurt Sauer to Buffalo for Vanek, also I hosed toronto on a deal to get Luke Schenn (who was second in scoring in the WHL with 93 points) to Toronto went Michael Blunden and the Rights to Doug Rogers, and then the Leafs waived Blunden a few months later, and I snatched him back.

then It really got out of hand when I dealt just about everything for Bergeron, Karlsson, and 2 1st round picks..

anyways, I have Schenn, Tavares, Hedman, and Karlsson, also, Svensson-Paajarvi, and an unranked draft pick known as Zucarello-Assen(83 points rookie year in the AHL), I had planned on trading for Casey Pierro-Zabotel just to have a line looking like:

Svensson-Paajarvi - Pierro-Zabotel - Zucarello Assen names don't fit on the screen... Zabotel was considered a franchise player.

anyways, I will have to try out the Kings, or continue my St. Louis Blue game. See if I can manage to fix the kings goaltending, although they did it somehow in my Islanders game by picking up John Grahame.

one note, Justin Leclerc picked up his 1st career NHL win in his 1st career game, in game 3 of the playoffs against the Flyers, in an Injury call-up

another thing, Is there a few players from europe you wish you could sign, but they just won't move? theres a few I could name, jsut to help out my Defense. guys like Jere Karalahti, Ales Pisa, and Maxim Kuznetsov.
Speaking of Kuznetsov, I was in a sports store the other day and found an old easton synergy with Kuznetsov written on it, must have been an old pro return.

Zuccarello Aasen had his rookie season in SEL this year. Played 33 games, scoring 40 points. 21-year old winger. Was injured for 20 games. Played on maybe SEL's best offensive line this season, with Per-Åge Skröder(59points) and Nicklas Sundström (50+ points).

Ramö 4.9 m/y - aquired in 2011
Malkin 3.9 m/y - aquired in 2018 - Some bug in signing contract in his former clubs. He had 56k/y for 7 years...
St. Pierre 3.8 m/y - aquired in 2012 draft as 1st pick
Hammarström 1.5 m/y - aquired in 2012

Wilson 6.5 m/y
Dunkley 2.4 m/y
Gallagher 2.2 m/y
Montoya 2.1 m/y
Kane 2.1 m/y

I am 15-1 this season.

I lost in the first round to Detroit (they won the series 4-2). Now it's time for the Stanley Cup Finals and it's an All-Canada series. Vancouver (President's Trophy winners) vs Montreal. I'm better on Vancouver.

Well..........after losing my last Yotes game I was really annoyed (even though it was my fault) and left the game alone for a couple of weeks before starting a new one.

This time I decided to try to keep the team together aslong as possible to see how it panned out. This worked out well and i've done alot better than I have when i've immediately tinkered about, quickly putting togther what I thought was a better team. Just shows you what effect constant tinkering does. A settled team performs alot better.

My season starting line up was:

Mueller - Reinprecht - Doan
Carcillo - Jokinen - Lisin
Fedoruk - Hanzal - Mair*
Murray - Winnick - Lindstrom

Jovanovski - Morris
Yandle - Klee
Sauer - Michalek

* - I bought Mair in from Sabres straightaway as I didnt have a defensive RW

Forwards:

I tinkered around with the 4th line but couldnt get anything decent out of any of them. Winnick and Lindstrom went down to San Antonio. I traded Murray away for a 4th to Tampa Bay. Scott Parker was claimed off waivers to replace Lindstrom and 20 games later I decided Fedoruk became redundant so he was traded away to Calgary for Brandon Prust (the day before the actual real life trade!) and I managed to pick up Pyatt from Vancouver.
Hanzal, although a shut down centre in real life, isn't on here and wasn't cutting it on the shutdown line so I made him 4th line centre and bought Garlock up from San Antonio.

This is the lineup from the mid-way point. As you can see the top 2 lines remain unchanged:

Mueller - Reinprecht - Doan
Carcillo - Jokinen - Lisin
Pyatt - Garlock - Mair
Prust - Hanzal - Parker

Defense:

Normally I dont really give Yandle, Michalek & Sauer a chance and Klee doesn't really last the first season with me but I thought i'd stick it out as long as possible. Things weren't going fantastic so Semenov, as usual, was claimed off waivers and replaced Sauer and about half way through the season Eminger became available so was bought in for Yandle who was struggling and not making use of the offensive role I gave him. However, Eminger and Semenov spent time injured so Yandle was called back up and played well, dragging his 6.70(ish) rating up to around 7.20.

Then at trade deadline day the Islanders offered Witt for Michalek. I did the deal as, although I was sitting 3rd in the Conference and the defense were doing OK(ish) I decided that whilst Bryzgalov is a good netminder, he isnt great and I wanted to get the defense as good as possible for the playoffs.

Therefore, the defensive lineup to finish the season was:

Jovanovski - Morris
Eminger - Klee
Witt - Semenov

I still have 5 games left until the end of the season and I think I will have alot of work to do in the off-season to get a balanced roster. I have a few selection queries (ie: Carcillo and Prust) and I have to get back under the team budget as the Witt deal took me about a million over budget.

Comments and suggestions welcomed.

Finished the season top of the division, 3rd in conference and 5th overall with stats of:

GP 82 - W 49 - L 29 - O/SL 5 - GF 294 - GA 241 - PTS 103.

Playoffs round 1: Beat San Jose 4-3. Prust and Parker had a good rivallry with Jody Shelley and Kyle McLaren, fighting them in all but one game.

In round 2 we lost 4-0 to Vancouver. Not disappointed though. Finishing 3rd in the conference was alot better than I expected and it's given me a good block to build upon.

I have a dilemma. This season Carcillo has been playing 2nd line LW. Hanzal isn't get good enough to fill that role and put up alot of points, but Carcillo isn't quite good enough there.

So do i play Carcillo or Prust as 4th line LW? Both a similar players, however Carcillo is on nearly twice as much as Prust per year. Am I getting twice the value from Carcillo?

I already have enough toughness in the team to be able to lose one of them:

Fights:
Prust: FI 22 - FW 8 (in 53 games)
Parker: FI 21 - FW 16 (in 92 games)
Carcillo: FI 17 - FW 6 (in 92 games)

So, in their 4th line role I basically want hitting and fighting. Prust has had more fights and has only played half the games Carcillo has, with the aggression, hitting and fighting settings both set the same. Yet Carcillo is slightly a better player attributes wise............

Also, Morris is for some reason unhappy with me and wont sign a new contract! Not sure what i've done to upset him.

Pointswise the team leaders were Doan with 117 and Jokinen 114.

My Blues own this season, thanks a bunch to wroom's tactic. Had a little bit of trouble filling my 1st line RW, but managed to trade a 2nd round pick from a couple years ago (Tomas Jurdic), Jarrett Bottomley, Mikko Lehtonen (24 year old winger brought in from boston on previous trade((had a under developing prospect to trade)) and he wasn't getting ice time, and was waiver elligible, and a 1st round pick in 2012 for an Injured Marion Gaborik.. I gave away alot, \tomas jurdic was in my game rated as a top pair D, 1st round pick, some big talent coming up. my fans were enraged, my board was furious.. Fans said I couldn't see potential (in Jurdic). Hopefully Gaborik will be back end of March and help me blast through the playoffs.

Not on my EHM comp.. but top line is as follows :

Heatley - Gomez - Brown/Kapanen/Wang/Cichy

Erik Johnson - Colin White

Goalies: Luongo and Barulin

Brown is tearing it up on the 2nd line with TJ Oshie and whoever is on LW

My Kansas City Defenders (NY Islanders) are doing quite well. In year number two I made a huge trade with Indianapolis (Tampa) and was able to acquire Vinny and Martin. They helped my team make a run all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals where I lost to Philidelphia in Game 7.

Current Record:
2006-07 - 82-27-44-11 (65pts)
2007-08 - 82-40-35-07 (87pts)
2008-09 - 27-17-08-02 (36pts)

This season, we are currently third in the Western Conference :)

R. Torres - Lecavalier - St. Louis
Grabovsky - Schremp - A. Carter
Battaglia - Betts - Niedermayer
Nilson - Moore - Sim

Witt - Streit
J. Cowen - Martinek
B. Ference - Smith

DiPietro - Boucher

Coyotes season 2:

Alot busier than I thought i'd be in the off-season!

Players in:
RD Mike Van Ryn
LD Woywitka (Temporary solution I would imagine)
RD Ben Clymer
RD Ryan Wilson
LW Jochen Hecht
RW Drew Stafford
Plus a couple of Swedes and a couple of prospects.

Players Out:
GK Al Montoya
RD Derek Morris (Wouldn't sign a new contract and signed for Calgary for half a million less than I offered him)
LD Brendan Witt
LD Keith Yandle
LW Dan Carcillo
Plus a few peiced of dead wood languishing in the minors.

So the team to start the 07/08 season is:

Bryzgalov
Toivonen

Jovanovski - Van Ryn
Eminger - Clymer
Woywitka - Klee

Mueller - Reinprecht - Doan
Hecht - Jokinen - Stafford
Pyatt - Garlock - Mair
Prust - Hanzal - Parker
Lisin

The first line stays the same but Mueller will be expected to put up better numbers at LW than last season, before replacing Reinprecht as 1st line centre next season. The 2nd line looks alot stronger. Hecht should add a defensive dimension whilst Stafford should provide a more all round game than Evner Lisin, who will dip in and out the team.

3rd and 4th lines remain the same as they did what I asked of them last season.

Despite losing Morris which was annoying as I still have no idea what I did to make him hate me, but Van Ryn should to a good job alongside Jovo and Clymer should provide some extra point from defense. Eminger will hopefully carry on improving whilst less ice-time will hopefully maintain Ken Klee for the rest of the season.

I'm not expecting a run deep into the playoffs this season but certainly want to finish top of my division. Should be a fun season. I am escpecially excited to see how Drew Stafford does as he's one of my favourite young players in real life.
