Absolutely. Nail down getting things like the trade AI working as it should and that sort of thing but since this is a wishlist, we can always throw out ideas. In the same vein as the news items, I'd like to see us get offers for interviews with the media/press. We'd then have to answer a couple questions (multiple choice). Depending on how we answer them, it might get a positive or negative reaction from players, the board, or the fans. They could ask is so and so is on the trade block. Is the coach's job in jeopardy? Who is exceeding your expectations? Do you have any players you feel might win awards? Who needs to step up their game? That sort of thing.

I was thinking about this stuff. Why not have the media ask you as a GM about an overseas player who's attracting attention, or a certain prospect in your system? I'm not sure GM's are allowed to comment on players under contract to other NHL teams, but outside of NHL they should be able to.
I'd also like more interaction for an NHL GM with their AHL and ECHL affiliates. Bi-annual player updates from the farm isn't really enough. Maybe those reports should be customizable in terms of frequency and content?
Also? More news reports on the WJC's, WC's, World Cup, and Olympics should be an option. I don't really care to see the results of every single game in my news to be honest, but it'd be interesting to get a few updates on who leads the tourneys in scoring, maybe put the tables/standings in the news a couple of times as well as the playoff trees, etc.

Something ive been missing both in this and the 2007 version is the career stats in the international tournaments.
In all the leagues (NHL, SHL) and so on you can go into league/history/players and check out the top tens for both season and career bests, but in the international tournaments only the season bests.. Seems like it should be easy enough to do it for the internationals to since its already in there but empty.

Yes, and that shouldnt be too hard to put into the game...all WC stats (all time) are here

same for the olympics, U20, U18, World Cup....

Yes, that i think i could fix on my own in the records_config file but i also want it to update so that players can make it in to the top 10..

I would like to see performance bonus type contracts toned down. AFAIK they are rare in NHL if they are even allowed anymore but in the game most players seem to want them and sometimes won't sign without them. Same for the AHL and ECHL I think.

I have not seen that issue. Entry level and over 35 I believe still have them. My entry level guys that ask for them, just get them zeroed out (unchecked). None have ever not signed for me without them. NEver bother with older guys, as usually if I Really want the older guy the NTC is enough.

I'm very happy with how the way the game is coming along. Here is a short list of some of the things i would like to see in the game. Some have been mentioned before but i'd like to reiterate them.
Player contracts - I don't know the exact formula on how they decide what players should make. I've heard it's based on reputation and not so much on stats. It's should be a combination of those two things and their rating (Once the rating system is fine tuned) If a player is putting up really good stats such as back to back 35 goal seasons and he's in his prime he should be asking for a long term deal worth decent (at least 4 to 5 million) money. As it is now players don't like signing longer deals then a few years and in a lot of cases don't ask for enough money based on their skills and the stats they put up. It makes the game too easy when it's never an issue staying under the cap. Making those tough decisions on who to keep to stay under the cap is part of real life and makes the game more entertaining.
Standings - This one is simple. I would like to see Wild Card standings be placed in the game. These are the standings most people look at in real life when trying to figure out how their team is doing.
On the standings page there is too much wasted space. I would like to see all those stats pushed closer to the team names and win/loss streaks and record in last 10 games added in on the league standings page. It's better to have those stats on the main page then to have to go into the team stats to look them up since that give you a good idea on how hot or cold current teams currently are. It would be nice to have all that info together.
Goalie Fatigue - I think goalies should get more tired when they are forced to play a lot of games. My number one guy played 77 games this season. I don't see a reason to play a worse goalie when my starter can play every game. There are certain goalies that should fatigue less than others but if you're gonna play your goalie every game there should be some negatives such as he won't perform as well. I want to be forced to play my backup from time to time. I just don't see the point of playing him for the sake of playing him like i did for the 5 games this season.
Key dates in the season - I know some dates are listed but more need to be added such as the trade deadline.(Feb. 23rd i think) Draft lottery. Draft.

Goalie one is really a non issue for me as I have mentioned....
Stats to back it: This year
Holtby 73 plus all playoff games for Washington
QUick 72
Rask 70
Schneider Price 69
Really do not see it as an issue.

I understand that some goalies can play that many games in a season but not all goalies can. There's never any incentive to start your back up where as in real life, even with the guys that play 70+ games, once in a while they need a rest. There's a reason goalies don't play all 82 games in real life.

Endless circle of argumenet here. NO point in going on and on about it. IT has been discussed ad nauseum. My opinion stands, so will yours. Forget it and move on.

Would love to have a 2-layer player photo that gets merged together dynamically within EHM. A background .JPG layer for a cropped jersey photo, and a foreground .JPG layer for the players mugshot. Could extend this concept by having home, away, and alternate 'background' jersey .JPGs rotate according to the next scheduled game.

I really wish that we can re-signed our team player to long term contract with reasonable price.
I found that player seldom only to renew for 1 or 2 years for player under 30years old, but for vet above that range glad to signed until 5 years deals.
hope this issue will be fixed.

Why McDavid is having such low attributes ?

Re: Eastside Hockey Manager Early Access - Wishlist

Again, Filip...( not that you have asked before but MANY have, and it is readable in these threads if you looked) the rookies developed soooo fast in EHM 2007 that they had to be toned down quite a bit or the studs like McDavid would be all 20s by the time they were 19. This rapid development is not the same in EHM EA, and things will get edited and changed in the rosters as time goes on. But surely you do not think McDavid should be scoring like Ovechkin in his first season in the NHL correct?
So because the TBL rosters have been based on EHM 07 and the game EHM EA came out of nowhere, Manimal and the gang did not have a chance to test the TBL 7.3 rosters with EHM EA before it came out. That is what we have all been doing with EHM EA...testing to find things that need to be tweaked. Settings of young players for their attributes etc is one of those things we have discovered in our play, and testing...that they do not develop anywhere near as fast as in EHM 2007.
So there will be some tweaks when TBL rosters are redone and come out, but I am not sure (nor is anyone) when the new roster version will come out. That is entirely based on when our volunteers get their work done. Because they are volunteers...we do not know when that will be.
And those guys....the volunteers are AMAZING!

3 of 30 starting goalies play more than 70 games. 12 of 30 play more than 60.
so yes it's possible.
but 6 of the 12 missed the playoffs, including 2,3,4 and 6.

I'd like the Front Office screen revamped a bit. The Focus (Player or GM) module takes up probably twice the space it needs to. I'd prefer to have access to 1 or 2 additional smaller modules. More info at the player's fingertips and easily accessible is always a good thing.
In addition, I'd like a module that gives you breakdown of your roster situation. For the NHL, it should show you where you stand as far as the 50/80 contracts/rights rule. For other applicable leagues, it could tell you how your roster is meeting applicable criteria (if you need X number of Domestic players, show the # you currently have, etc). It's a pain to have to dig through two or three screens to get to that info currently.
Another module I'd like would be an Affiliate module that lists your affiliates, their records, and league standing(s) or perhaps team leaders in key categories. Again, makes no sense to have to drill down so much just to see how well your affiliates are doing. Plus bonus: having them linked in the module means you could easily access those teams from your Front Office screen, which you currently cannot do.

It does show that in reserve list view. Not sure about other areas as never tried. But yes for sure affiliate info.

I'd like to be able to assign players to different affiliates with less clicks.
For example, I call everyone in the organization up to the NHL roster for training camp. I think the easiest way to look at everyone in the organization is the team report. If you could right click a player's name in the team report to bring up the action menu, that would be awesome.

good things to look at here.
I'm totally for what others have said about the personalized messages. the more different variations the better.
I like the unique in-depth feel it gives me. Some sort of prompting area would be nice too. Just help things flow smoother or something.
I feel like the curve might be too steep for newer players.

I've been kicking this around for a while now, and maybe it is time.
I think it would be a good thing for SI to add in the major women's Olympic/national teams, as well as the CWHL and WWHL (and any top tier European leagues there may be?). It's going to be a pain for researchers, I know, and it's further expansion of the DB because then you for instance probably also need to add in women's NCAA D1 and women's CIS programs as well for North America (not sure what would be needed to Europe to give a supply for national teams there). I think it's ultimately for everyone's benefit though for reasons that should be obvious, and there's no particular reason the player shouldn't be able to then be the GM of a women's Olympic/national team or something.

I'm definitely not against the idea, but I disagree with the idea that "maybe it's time" now - it seems to me at this time the SI (Riz) focus is on and should stay on optimizing the current existing gameplay and fixing bugs, and the limited number of researchers we do have now are focused on researching as much as they can of what exists now

I think you're misunderstanding the "time is now" part.
With EHM:EA in Early Access, we're probably not going to see another version (if we get another) for what, another 2 or 3 years maybe? This one being Early Access means we're a ways from even official release, and THEN the countdown still has to go between this one and the (hopefully) next one. I'm not saying it needs to be the next thing added in. However, once all the spit and polish is on their other aspects of the game, all the bugs and glitches squashed as best they can, etc.... I think it's probably time. I don't know that waiting another 2 or 3 years will be the time.
I was a bit coy in my original post on it, but.... to be more blunt, SI has a unique opportunity here to do something ahead of the curve and be a bit of a trailblazer, and they also have us in the community for an Early Access game. And I think there *is* probably interest in seeing it in the game. And yes, I think there would probably eventually have to be a mechanism whereby you as a GM of a team would have the option of signing a female player to a male pro team if say certain attribute thresholds are met (and by that I mean a competitive desire to do so, similar to how some overseas players won't go over to North America), and maybe another flag similar to the existing Junior/College, are met. We're not exactly speculating here on a fantasy: male pro teams have signed and played female players in the past.
This is a sensitive subject in a lot of ways, and a lot of people get bent out of shape at the notion and idea (just look at the responses to the new FIFA 16 announcement). But if EHM is going to claim to simulate the hockey world.... I think you have to be fully inclusive as best, or reasonable, as you can. And yeah, I think at some point I'd like to run the Team USA Women's National Team in the game. Or better yet, one of the non-powers, and try to make them one.
And no, I don't know that doing so will attract any new users really, or move more digital copies. Or garner any extra attention even. If you do it, you should do it because you already have leagues from South Africa, Japan, New Zealand, and Mexico in the game and DB, and it seems silly to then not have the elite women's tier in as well, and they probably deserve the exposure.

Like Nino33 I'm not against the idea per se but given the very limited resources the devs have, they should be concentrating on working on the basics first, and then later adding other stuff in the game. Also now is the worst possible time to do that IMO due politics involved.
Like I said, with game development like with EHM:EA you should first concentrate on getting the basics done first, and then add stuff to it, especially with the very limited resources they have. Also I don't want SI and EHM:EA devs to get embroiled with the political rubbish which would only distract them and cause them trouble, and believe me, it would get UGLY.
If you want to discuss more about the political side of it, shoot me with PM and I'll explain where I stand, I don't want to turn this forum or thread into political discussion.
Edit: Invitation is for everyone.

Then let's go ahead and lock this thread and shut it down.
Because clearly we're all insane for suggesting wishlist items for a thread clearly entitled "Wishlist" when the game isn't done yet, and we should be filling this thread with post after post for them to just fix the bugs first, and never suggest anything new.
