Hmm...nothing here about Mon-Bos? Wow! Where are all the Bruins guys? 5-0..ouch. I missed both games because of baseball....but 5-0? WHat happened?
Couldn't watch it live. Recorded it but was told the result anyway, so not even bothering to watch now. Besides, if you miss the NHL playoffs because of snoozeball you're not worthy anyway :-p

Regarding Chara, he was forced to say no to the World Champs, he'll have shoulder surgery in the offseason. He has been playing with a torn shoulder labrum the last couple of weeks. Whatever that is, I only copied it.

First period was all Bruins - Habs scored early, but the B's really took it to 'em. Price kept them in with a ton of monster saves. Second period it all came apart for the B's. Streit scored a ridiculous goal making the D and Thomas look silly and it was all over from there... =D>

I'm pulling for a Philly victory tomorrow. I would rather have them than the Rags. They scare me. :help:
Yeah that pretty much sums it up. The Bruins were hot in that first period. The further things went, I think the less confidence they had and the game just got away from them. Congrats on your Habs moving forward. They played the better game last night.

Congrats to B.Stinson on #1000! =D>

Congrats B.Stinson for your 1000th post =D>

Congrats also to the young Bs, who forced game 7 in a 1vs8 battle. And congrats to Price... shutout in a game 7...

Tonight i'll be all Flames and Caps... For the Caps... well... i have nothing against Flyers... nothing for the Caps... But i'd like to see a Caps-Habs series later on... Huet versus the team who thrown him away... As for the Flames, i know they won't be champs, batdad ;) I just think they might get out of the Sharks tonight (although it'll be very hard), and then might run over the Dead Things. And if they can do that, it'll clearly be time to play golf, no matter who the next opponent would be.

I want to see the Caps win to see a Crosby vs. Ovechkin series :)

GO CAPS GO!! Crosby-Ovi, plus then the Habs get the only other team that is scary and I HATE in the East. And then only one of them can go to the Eastern final. So yeah...GO CAPS GO!!

Man, cheering for the Caps over the Flyers. Back in my teens and 20s I would never have considered that. Only Vancouver would have got the vote ahead of Philly back then.

Nah...they still get another crack tomorrow Stinson. No worries. Game 7 tomorrow.
I know. But game 7 will just be a formality. Yesterday, my stance was that the Flyers' only hope of winning the series was going to be game 6, their final home game. If they let Washington take it to 7, we'll lose. And unfortunately, here we are.

They gave-up on their 3-1 series lead, and gladly gave it to Washington. Now Washington has every ounce of momentum going into a game 7 at home. I hate to say it, but there's no way we'll win tonight.

Nah..not a formality. Habs sure proved it was not. Especially since I just jinxed the Caps above. :-D

Well the Caps haven't been in the NHL when you were a teen.
:-p :D

Hahahahahah

Anyway, Lidstrom, Chara and Phaneuf nominated for the Norris. My guess, Lidstrom wins with 95% of the votes.

Wooooooo! Sharks V Dallas...interesting, glad to see Phaenuf out of the playoffs, his face annoys me. :P

Huh, Phaneuf was on the ice tonight? I didn't seen him... I didn't see Tanguay or Huselius either, but that's pretty usual...

Congrats to the Sharks anyway, and especially to JR, who had a monstruous game with his 4 points!

Sharks vs Stars... hmm... Turco got the keys of the series all alone.

Detroit vs Colorado... The battle of the old guys, with a few fresh legs here and there... Must be funny to watch all those papies :D

Pens vs Rangers... See ya next year, Mr. Crosby!

Habs vs Flyers... Not a good series to be in the penalty box :p

And it is Mike Gillis as GM in Vancouver. A new guy with no experience as a GM, or coach. Yep he is a good negotiator. But hmmm. Remains to be seen.

Is that the guy that was a player agent?

by batdad
Yes it is, and he played some of his NHL career on your team. Just had his presser...thought he was pretty good. Funny, enough I don't think he said anything Nonis has not.

Except that he thinks the biggest issues with this team are:

1. Scouting
2. Player development
3. Player selection

He likes the coach apparently. Defended Vigneault several times saying "A coach can only work with what he is given"

...which is true... But when you're given Luongo, Näslund, Öhlund, Sedin 1, Sedin 2, etc, and fail to even make the playoffs, leaving your spot to the Preds... Hmm... Conclusions are easy :D

Sedins are gonna be gone. That is my prediction.

Gillis said "This team is only one or two bold moves away from being in the Stanley Cup Finals"...

I read that as good bye Henrik and Daniel.

Interesting! If he does move them, do you think he'd trade them as a package? And to what team?

It wouldn't be that hard to imagine them on different teams....I see it all the time in EHM :P

Who cares. They are soft. They are slow, they do not provide grit, and they are not competitive. They are 2nd line players at best, and having them together is just as bad as having them apart when you think they are your top line.

Ugh... I'm staying out of this conversation.

I've seen too much of it in the past. ;)
