This just happened to me:

I was on a internetpage and after a while I discovered that EHM wasn't showing on the bar at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes this happens to me, but it's "hidden" behind the browser's window. But this time it wasn't and I hadn't saved for a while and I had done som trades and had proceeded to 11 september. And now I have to play the game from 21 august which was the day I saved last time.... ](*,) :tech:

I'll also be forced to go back in time since something must've happened when I was saving my game after game 20. So I'm back at game 8 now. :(

Go to your game options and set up an autosave scheme to guard you from these problems  I don't actually do that as I have gotten into the habit of saving before each game. I also save a separate 'backup' file each week in case my save files becomes corrupt somehow at most I lose a week. It will save you a lot of  ](*,)

I be amazed if you could land Gaborik for anywhere near that little. You wouldn't even get him for Bonk and your 1st rounder.

Another 20 games in the books and I'm looking pretty good. I really need to work on my PP though. It's been terrible! My PK has been acceptable but my PP is embarassing.

I did a little tinkering with my roster. I made a few trades. I finally got rid of Jan Bulis. I sent Bulis and Garth Murray to the Predators for Milan Michalek. He's a good skater and he's got some potential.

Next I sent Michael Ryder and Guillaume Latendresse to the Panthers for Stephen Weiss. Neither Ryder not Laterndresse were the kind of skaters I wanted on my team. In fact, Latendresses was a terrible skater. I had been trying to get Weiss for a while and I finally offer a lot. Maybe it was too much but I wanted him. He's got great skating and very nice skills. I thought he was worth it. My board and my fans were pretty mad though. I'm sure they'll come around though. In 11 games with us, he's got 4G 6A and he's a +7.

This last deal got the board a little worried. I sent Saku Koivu, the rights to Carey Price, and our 5th round pick to Carolina for Erik Cole. I usually deal for him right away but the Canes were being tough. My board was a little concerned with this move too. I don't think they were upset about giving up Cole. I think they thought I gave up a little too much. It's okay though. Koivu was doing okay for me but he wasn't spectacular. Plus, his condition was low after games fairly often. I got younger and in my opinion better with this move. Sure, Price is a great prospect for the future but I don't think he'd make the lineup during the challnege, even if I go 3 rounds with it.

I'm still looking to make some deals. I might ship out Ribeiro if he doesn't agree to a new deal. Maybe some other guys too? I'm not too thrilled about Souray and Markov's stamina. I'm also think Zednik doesn't play well enough to deserve $1.8M per season. I've been cutting my salary down with many of these deals too. I should have a good amount available by the time the Free Agency frenzy comes around.

Let's see how the next 20 go.

Sometimes I'm just a dolt.

I just swapped out my old 40 GB hard drive for a 200 GB drive. Clean install of Windows, the whole nine yards.

Guess what I forgot to backup?

Looks like a restart for me, if that's even allowed. Are we penalized for being scatterbrained? ](*,)

I wasn't doing great, that's for sure. I think I was starting to right the ship though, I had won six of my last eight before I decided to barge into upgrading my computer without a real plan of action.
