Do you know how to take print screen? Every year you could take print screen of the first page of the drafted players (is it top 20 or something?). That way you don't have to write down the drated players and order.

Thanks a bunch for those pics. I'm pretty satisfied with the drafts. Some dudes are missing that should be in the top 10 at least, but that's fine. Kovalchuk seemed to have a good time when you simulated. Probably too good...

Seth Jones is in 2012 draft, not in 2013. Matthew Dumba in 2013, not 2012.

I don't see Jakupow and Ryan Murray in '12 and MacKinnon and Drouin in '13.

I can't do anything about when they get drafted. They have the right birthdays, but EHM somehow randomizes the birthdays of all youngsters (12 years old and under I think?). So that's why they probably got drafted the "wrong" year. Yakupov and Murray were drafted in '11 on those pics. Yeah I saw myself that MacKinnon and Drouin are missing. They should be one of the best in they year class, but dunno why they didn't get drafted in the Top26.

Their PA was probably low on that run depending on what you had put their PA at pregame.

The best draftees have all "-9 PA", some has "-10, like Stamkos". Maybe MacKinnon and Drouin unluckely got something just over 150 PA? I dunno how those "-9" PA work, and when they are decided?

Description: -9 Potential will be between 150-180 (very rare – a top 10 prospect who is considered a can’t miss NHL talent)
-10 Potential will be between 170-200 (extremely rare – the top player available in a draft, but not every year)

The -9/10s get decided at start of game. Random PA between the set numbers so I'd say they got unlucky.

They're decided at start-up, and using the SavedGame Editor you can see what resulted (so a -9 would be an actual specific number between 150-180)

FYI - the EHM Updater also edits saved games, and Archi has included the functionality to edit/correct the "randomizing birthday issue" (i.e. make one csv file that you'd apply right after start-up to correct the birth month/day)

Drouin was drafted in the 2nd round, and has horrible technicals...and is playing in the OHL
(He was born in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, but grew up in Huberdeau, Quebec.) but you have him set in Mississauga


MacKinnon was drafted in the 3rd round, and never played a game in the Q, in fact he wasnt even drafted, he went to college

Landeskog was never drafted, but was signed at 17 by the blackhawks, 2 year deal on 6/7/11


Murray and Yaukupov went 9/10 in the 2011 draft

Can I just say I'm not a fan of the randomized PA's. Never have been. I usually go in myself and edit the top prospects to have set PA's instead. I don't do it with *all* of them (some players like say a Tomas Jurco for instance still probably should be random), but yeah... it bugs me when the negative PA's result in super-wonky drafts and development. I understand the desire for variety and all, but...

Im obviously glad they have the functionality. I wish the randomness worked with Regens, so you dont always have one czech goalie with 190 potential

I'll have to check that out when I have more time on my hands. It's hard to understand how the EHM updater really works when I haven't check it out that much.

Drouin's team is an easy fix. Landeskog didn't even have a random PA, if I remember correctly he had a pretty good PA... that's weird.

I'm not a big fan either. I use them mostly for future prospects. I usually don't use random PA for those who already play in the NHL like Landeskog etc. Anyway, it would be better if the randomizing factor would be narrower, like 180-200 , 170-190, 160-180 etc.

Looking at those drafts. I see that guys I've made have a very high reputation and the new guys EHM creates usually has ok & good rep only?! And when I made those youngsters they all have 10-30 rep only!?

Totally understandable! (I haven't done it for the 1974DB)

Well Drouin's technicals are extremly low when compared to real life
and MacKinnon has 174 PA, so steal of the year?

Oh that one I forgot. I'm not sure if the guys added it in this release before I did my version? Can I see it somehow in the DB? Or should it just be tested and see after a season how many points the players did?
