I am hoping Boston have a better season than they did last year. We need to make the play-offs at least.

They really can't get much worse than they did last year. The only other time I remember them being worse (in my lifetime) was the year they finished last in the league and wont he Joe Thornton sweepstakes.mark_htfc wrote:I am hoping Boston have a better season than they did last year. So do you go to home games?? I would love to but it would mean me going to America.bruins72 wrote:They really can't get much worse than they did last year. Oh never underestimate the potential for things to be worse than they were last yearbruins72 wrote:They really can't get much worse than they did last year.
The same applies for us Leaf fans.Minstrel wrote:Oh never underestimate the potential for things to be worse than they were last yearbruins72 wrote:They really can't get much worse than they did last year. That's one thing I've learned for my dual decades of Hawks hockey.
Yes, I got to some home games. Usually only a couple each season because they're just so expensive. You're looking at at least $35 for the really cheap seats but I can't deal with those. I get a little dizzy sitting that high up with the angle. I feel like I'm going to tumble down. I like the good seats that usually run about $70-$85 a piece. Then it cost about $20 for parking. Then you've got your beers. Those usually run about $6 or $7 each. I don't eat at the games. I just don't like concession food. I'll usually go for a burger or something at a restaurant in the area. Figure that as being a good $30 total for myself and my girlfriend to have something to eat and a drink. The whole outing ends up running me a few hundred dollars! That's not including a stop at the gift shop if I want a shirt, hat, or something else.mark_htfc wrote:So do you go to home games?? Like I said, it can't get "much" worse. We were the fifth worst team in the league last season. There are only 4 more positions they could finish worse.Minstrel wrote:Oh never underestimate the potential for things to be worse than they were last yearbruins72 wrote:They really can't get much worse than they did last year. That's one thing I've learned for my dual decades of Hawks hockey.

I watch most games from the comfort of my living room. There is a local sports network (owned jointly by the Red Sox and Bruins) called NESN (New England Sports Network) that carries every game.
You're talking about the British league Phoenix and Panthers, right? Not the Phoenix Coyotes and Florida Panthers? My cousin lives in Arizona and last I heard, he was a Coyotes season ticket holder. It's funny. He grew up in California and I remember our whole family being into hockey but he was always giving us a hard time about it. He just couldn't get into hockey as a kid. Then he settled down in the Phoenix area after getting out of the military and married a women who was originally from Michigan. Now he's a die-hard hockey fan. Go figure!mark_htfc wrote:bruins72 wrote:mark_htfc wrote:
