Actually, the Wild have got themselves some nice secondary scoring by playing Rolston with White and Bouchard. Parrish also brings offense from the third line.

I'm gonna make some changes in my predictions.

Sabres in 4 - Dubielewicz can't hold that offense back (NY might win a couple if DiPi comes back)
Devils in 6 - New Jersey has had some problems with Tampa during the season
Rangers in 6 - New York is on fire
Senators in 7 - unpredictable series really

Flames in 6 - a realistic prediction that doesn't get my hopes up
Ducks in 7 - the Wild are no push-overs
Canucks in 7 - Turco shows he can play, but gets outduelled by Luongo
Sharks in 6 - this is just a gut feeling

Oh? Not a bad idea. I haven't seen them play in ages. Who's with Gaborik and Demitra then? Koivu?

Anyway, Niedermeyer and Pronger can play 30 minutes a night, so even if Rolls isn't playing with them, he'll still see quite a bit of the duo.

yeah Koivu is playing with Gabby/Demitra. Sometimes Radivojevic too.

Minny is SCary....scary....scary. I hope someone takes em out. But that poor team will be really beat if they do.

I've seen Walz up on that top line a few times, too.

The Wings will have no problem beating the Flames. That's not realistic at all, with the way they've played this year.

Flames weren't that great for sure this season  On the other hand, Detroit is used to sleep in the playoffs over the past few years, so everything is possible in this series!

Like i said in my pronostics, it's really hard to know who'll win this won, but the winner will be smashed off in the second round.

If this series go to game 7, Detroit will win it. Calgary proved in the past they're unable to win a game 7. Just look at Cup Finals against Tampa in 2004, or last year's first round against the Ducks.

What about game 7 vs. Vancouver in 2004? ;)

Anyway, I don't think the Flames will win a playoff round with Playfair as coach. The team doesn't like to play for him, and he can't motivate the players. It became quite obvious when the Flames were on the verge of missing the playoffs, and Sutter gave them a pep talk. They rattled off six straight wins before it wore off and they lose all of their remaining games. I think if Sutter was still coaching the team, the Flames would have been fighting for first in the league instead of the eighth and final playoff spot.

Here we go, new season and nothing's changed. Talbot brushes Spezza with one hand on his stick and it's a hooking call resulting in the second 5-on-3 of the period. I have no vested interest in seeing either team win, this is coming from a totally objective, hockey-fan-first standpoint: This rubbish is ruining the game.

Meanwhile, Fleury started shaky and regained composure, thanks in part to his defensemen playing goalie a couple of times. This is going to be a good series.

I didn't realize that two teams played against one team in the Western Conference playoffs. I don't think the Predators are going to be beaten by the Wings AND the Ducks.

You know...when you have a 2 goal lead with 9 minutes left in a game...there is no way in hell you should be going to OT. Dallas is thoroughly outskating the Canucks. at least in the 3rd. The Sedins and Mitchell better pick up their play in a hurry. Or this series will be alot shorter than anyone thinks.

For the Canucks sake...they are lucky there is a break now to sit and figger out what the heck they are supposed to do.

Cowan is an animal here in OT. I hope he scores so the bras come out!

OK, so now Luongo has two games worth of play-off experience.

Fingernails...check. Heart...check. Cigarettes...almost gone. Beer...gone

Coffee....next in line.

COWAN is freaking unreal. Henrik and Daniel decided to play some hockey tonight too. It actually seemed in that 3rd OT like the Nucks had better legs.

This is freaking insane.

END THIS darn GAME ALREADY!!! SOMEONE .... ANYONE.

Shootout? :-D

I have a feeling this is going to end in the first five minutes of the next overtime. :-o

There is going to be a flurry at the beginning when both teams come out to try to win it quick...then if no one does we'll be in for another 10 minutes of boring OT hockey. Then the last 5 minutes will be a big flurry again as fatigue comes into play.

Exciting stuff.
