I believe that most of the players may have correct numbers according to the cap.
However, those guys with front loaded ... will have their average salary for each season in the game. Because apparently the editor will not allow different $ amts over seasons.
Anyway..yes the "cap" number for each player and their new contract will be correct in the game.

I'll be updating all NHL players' salaries according to what they will have at the beginning of this season. It's a big task so it will take some time. I've got a busy summer so I'll probably be starting the process of adding the wages in September.
A small update: I've been through each team to ensure that they have the correct players in their rosters. Also, I've tried to ensure that there are approximately 23 players on the NHL roster, with the rest in the affiliates.

Archi I have an idea for the minor leagues that could potentially save us some time since the minors tend to work a bit different from the NHL. A lot of the minors operate off of 1 year contracts causing them to potentially have a vastly different team from year to year. It may save us time if we just worry about May/June on for minor league teams.

Finnish SM-Liiga and Mestis teams updated to their pre-season 2007-08 rosters will also be included in this update.

But wouldn't that make the teams out of date come September?

Might've been answered somewhere, bear with me, but when batdad says salaries will be adjusted, does that mean you'll also change the cap to 50m ? Otherwise a ton of teams will be over the cap.

For the updated rosters to the way they are at the beginning of 2007-08 in real life..yes.

Sorry meant to say from may or June on. The reason being is that there tends to be a lot of turnover with teams hopping to other leagues or going to Europe, and with the blowup of the UHL/IHL/whatever you want to call it there should be a lot of new and old players coming to the chl and the echl.

Does anyone want updated Swedish Elitserien and Allsvenskan rosters too?
Im planning to update the upcoming TBL database for myself, but of course Ill be willing to share it with everyone else if there is interest.
If you want the official TBL release to have Sweden updated, I can post all necessary transfers or update the DB myself.

The more leagues are updated, the better it is

I regularly have a game in Sweden, generally with Frölunda, so there's at least one guy interested!

Sure thing! The more the marrier!
The idea was to move the file from one person to another, so that when everyone has had a go with their share of the updating, all these leagues will be up-to-date and the file will be released. So start working on it now, make a list of all the changes, and then you can apply them on the file when you receive it.

wow thanks for doing the SEL and Allsvenskan... I was just about to start doing an update cos I hate playing DIF with the old roster... I'm lazy and haven't read the whole thread. Are you guys going to mod numbers at all? B/c Mark in Da Park Owuya needs have much higher potential than he does on the game.
Thanks again!

No, we don't.
It's a roster update project only, not an attribute update. But then, you would be able to make attribute modifications on your game if you want to do so. And if you want to know why we don't support attribute changes, you should perform a search for that, as it has been already explained several times here and there

yeah... i guess I'll have to. I can't stand not being able to use him at the Elite level ever b/c his ratings are so low...

I agree totally, i hate how some good players are rubbish, minaly europeans, players like Cherepanov are so underated, i have a database where i have changed attributes, but its fairer to have no changes so people can chose if they want to change them or not, ive also noticed that lots of goalies have attributes the dont need, like they have a 0 for faceoffs, so i have changed these to 1, as they will never be needed
Mark in Da Park is hilarious, he must be so embarassed, his audition was hilarious, and rapping to the presenter was even funnier!

I talked to a scout in the draft and was told that he would have been the highest drafted goalie if he hadn't made that hilarious video... but I think he can beat out both Larsson and Ridderwall to start for DIF this year which means he could go very high this year. Lets hope!

That surely can't be right, i never knew that players personal lives affected there rankings? i wudda ranked him first goalie anyway, the only reason Gistedt was first is because he is a year older than everyone, which puts him a year ahead of everyone, a little unfair imo

are you serious? hockey is like the mafia... nothing is as clean as it looks.... why do you think cherepanov dropped to 20th... b/c he's a russian... everything goes into effect when a guy is drafted.
Posted: Wed Aug 15, 2007 6:08 pm
by getzlaf15
he dropped so far down because he was seen to be lazy, and the russian transfer agreement, which affected teams bein scared of him not bein allowed to leave, i dont think teams were prejudice because he was russian, thats a little extreme,
thinkin of it, i can see why it would affect him, the video of him on pop idol shows that he is a cocky and arrogant person, let alone player, so that wud have affected me actually

Okay guys, lets keep the discussion in this forum purely about the Roster Updates! You can go to the Hockey Talk forum to continue you're discussion about this other stuff.
Thanks!

I have a question for all Blue Line staff about the roster... Even though u guys are working on the roster and such i was wondering if we did kind of like attributes thread on the forum so that when u guys are done with the roster i can download it do the attributes changes that need to be done that everyone says in that thread and then post it on the net given u guys still 100% credit for all of your hard work and dedication for putting all of your time and effort into this?

You've got my answer in the "attributes update" thread you created

Since the attributes thread is locked I'm going to throw this out here... what about players like Jonas Hiller who signed this off season with Anahiem and does not exist in EHM07? If they can deal Bryzgalov he will be their backup, and it really frustrates me that he is not in the game... Any thoughts?
