I would like to play this database. However, for some odd reason this one will not open on my computer. The 74-75 and 98-99 databases do, this one does not. Any input?

Not sure why, but the players like, don't show up.

In the messages when you start, in the team info, it lists the best players and all that, but when you go to the rosters, all the players aren't there. Only one who shows up on Toronto is Carl Brewer lol.

Did you use a correct import_config.cfg file when you attempted the import? http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... nto_EHM:EA

You'll want to use the 2006 ruleset, and I think you'll want a 2006 start date too (Pens66 created the 1979 DB years ago, before there was EHM:EA and before there was the Custom Start Date Patch for EHM07, so IIRC it's set up based on a 2006 start date because that's all that was possible back then)

FYI - I've begun work on an improved 1979 DB that will use 1979 as a start year and will have no modern staff/players in it, but it is many months away from being releasable

The 1998 DB and the 1974/1979 DBs (that I'm currently working on) will have all players of the time + all future stars/superstars (and many future "average/regular" players too) up to and including the 2017 NHL Draft Prospects.....currently the 1974 DB has about 18 years of future real players, and the 1979/1998 DBs maybe 4-6 years of future real players

To do it yourself the EHM 2007 editing tools can be used to edit an EHM 2007 database, and then that database can be imported into EHM:EA (that's how it works now, that's how retro databases and the current TBL Rosters are created/worked on).

Here's a link to the PreGame Editor http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =88&t=6745
Here's a link to the EHM Updater http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 10&t=11154
FYI - editing a player in the PreGame Editor will cause his Player Role to be deleted (use the EHM Updater for all player editing, or ensure you keep a list of Player Roles and update players after using the PreGame Editor for player editing)

Editing is not a quick & easy process. I recommend the EHM Updater (and actually going through the ReadMe is a must); you'd use a staff_new file to create the basic player (and if desired an attribute_update file for further details).

Regarding creating really young "future stars" - players younger than 13 or 14 will be hidden ingame until they reach that age (they'll be in the database, but they won't show up in game until they reach age 13/14)

For editing questions, many/most have been asked and answered already. Here's a link to TBL's Data Editing Forum http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... .php?f=110
