Campbell is a rental at the moment, that's why the Sabres traded him, cant afford to lose him for nothin. He was nearly cryin in the interview when he was talking about his move.

Well when you spend almost 10 years with the club and then got traded. Sucks.
Sergei Fedorov to Washington for 2nd round pick. Not confirmed.

Confirmed, its the Ducks picks which they used to get Sutherby earlier this year.
I agree, that was what he said, it's all gone down the drain or somethin. Bless him.

No, the Ducks pick was sent in the Huet deal. Fedorov to Washington confirmed though. The counter-part has yet to be announced on TSN

My bad. I read it somewhere. Federov is apparently for a prospect named Theo Ruth. Not confirmed.
The av's are tryin there upmost to recreate their last team that won the cup, rumours of Blake and Foote, Forsberg already done.

Foote was for a 1st round pick in:
- 2008 if the Avs make the playoffs
- 2009 if they don't
There's another conditionnal pick if Foote re-signs.
Theo Ruth confirmed for Fedorov. Don't know him though

Good trade from Columbus, a first for Foote, could be in the top 15 too.

The Avs are pretty strong right now... Sakic and Skrastins are back, Forsberg signed, Foote and Salei are in... They will make the playoffs, so the pick for Colombus won't be in the top-15 IMO
Rob Davison (D) from the Isles to the Sharks for a 7th round pick.

I was just checking out the Bruins board at hfboards and there was a big panic because suddenly Phil Kessel wasn't on the roster on the Bruins website. Lots of people are worried.

Skrastins was sent to Florida as part of the deal to get Salei, so he's not with Colorado.

I'm hearing lots of talk that Hossa is heading to Boston and Kessel is on his way to Atlanta. Supposedly, talks have resumed after breaking down over the last couple days. I guess Hossa is reconsidering signing a long term deal with the Bruins.

Kessel isn't going anywhere... Clearly announced on TSN...

Yeah, that's what they're saying now but I guess all of the "experts" are baffled by this. Chia is trying to say it's some sort of paperwork move to make Kessel eligible for the AHL playoffs. The "experts" are totally mind-boggled by this. Fans questions the timing. Why on trade deadline day? Most think something is still in the works.
EDIT: It's looking more and more like there's nothing happening with Kessel. Jim Benning (one of the Bruins' brass) says that Kessel isn't moving, he's a part of our future and he's a Bruin.
Also mentioned... the Bruins lost their appeal to have Chistov finish the season in the AHL. The only place he can play this season is Boston. Maybe the Kessel thing is related to this? Would they send Kessel to Providence (AHL affiliate) to make room for Chistov? Chistov hasn't played in the NHL at all this year and just got released by his Russian team. I think I'd want to keep Kessel in the lineup.

Kessell not going anywhere. He is off the roster to be eligible for AHL playoffs with Providence. Will be called up tomorrow or something like that. Acccording to both TSN and Chiarelli This is the case. I just don't see him being enough for Hossa unless there is alot more involved in the deal, including players who will be more help for a run for Atlanta. I think the Kess thing is the truth.
Matt Cooke to Was for Matt Pettinger. Addition by subtraction for Vancouver.
1. Ladd-Ruutu. Great deal for Chicago. Ruutu just cannot get her done anymore.
Campbell--Overpay, unless Sharks resign for less than 5.5 mill.
The Huet to Washington deal makes no sense, unless Montreal expects to get another vet goalie ***Hedberg anyone?*** in a deal for Hossa.
Interesting, yet not so interesting day. Washington is making out well, as is Colorado.
To this point JFJ has absolutely screwed Toronto. They can't get anything done, because anyone anybody wants has A NTC and wont go anywhere.
Lapointe to Ottawa for a 20th round pick would have made Hawks fans happy.
Ladd-Toews-Kane. WOW!
Jokinnen looks like not going anywhere, but who knows. His bro did.

The most interesting deal, IMO, so far is the Ruutu for Ladd deal. Ruutu has had so many injuries. I think Ladd could do something in Chicago.

Yeah, don't know what Carolina was thinking, Chicago gained a lot.
31 minutes remain, move Hossa's ass please...

I agree that the Huet deal is just stupid for Montreal. In the same time, there's a huge fans and media pressure in favor of Price and clearly against Huet for months, so something like this was expected, although it's stupid. It's a good move for the Caps though. They can now send Kolzig to retirement and wait for Varlamov to devellop patiently. Well, at least if they can re-sign Huet...
Fedorov alongside with Ovechkin, plus Huet in goal and the arrival of Matt Cooke... If they can get chemistry out of this, they should finally become a valuable team...

One thing about the Huet deal...well 2
1. Hu-eh has changed his pronounciation to Hu-ette. So hmmmm...
2. Rookie Hab goalies scare the rubbish out of me. Maybe it happens again. Ugh.
Fedorov--Washed up. Not gonna be a big factor. At least I do not think so. But yeah Fedorov-Ovechkin could be scary.
Matt Cooke--Will be balls out the best player on the Caps for about 4-5 games. Then he will disappear into thin air. He cannot score, he cannot pass, he cannot shoot, he cannot check (Canucks removed him from PK 4 months ago). He is a useless piece of....

Backman to Rangers for a 4th

I agree about Fedorov.. hes washed up, was years ago.
A true Habs fan, I hate the Leafs, I was actually suprised though they moved the blig, slow useless and HORRIBLY overpaid Hal Gill. I saved my best heckling when the Leafs were in town at Gill, who I screamed at was 'a pilon'. I guess Ill yell at Tucker more.
