I think both should be in Team Czech Rep., but i don't know why they choose Cervenka and Rolinek cause there's Prospal and Hejduk. Hejduk isn't defensive player, but Prospal is and he can play center.

Prospal is injured, maybe that's why he isn't in Team Czech Rep.

I can't stand, why Jalonen choose Ville Peltonen instead of Mika Pyörälä. Pyörälä is perfect 13th forward, he can play in center, both wingers, powerplay, pentalty kills, everything, only goalie position isn't his job, but maybe if Kipper, Bäcks and Rask are injured, he is first choice to play goalie

. Janne Niskala is weird choice, cause he is offensive defender and our pp's should be:
J. Jokinen-M. Koivu-T. Ruutu
K. Timonen-S. Salo
N. Hagman-S. Koivu- T. Selänne
J. Pitkänen-O. Jokinen
So what to do with Niskala?
I guess they still make him play PP. Jussi Jokinen is not even in the team, I guess you know that. Väänänen would be much better than Niskala on the team.

Oh, i didn't notice that J. Jokinen isn't in team. That's horrible

. Väänänen should be instead of Niskala.
And why in the world is there Jere Lehtinen or any other born before 1975? (Selänne probably, but...) Pyörälä yes, Leino yes, Salmela yes, they all could make the team with E-A-S-E!

Salmela isn't good defender, i wouldn't want to see him in Olympics or World Championships. Leino has played awful season, but he has played in 4th line with small minutes. They aren't Olympic candidates.
Jere Lehtinen is good checking forward, hopefully he is healthy. Ville Peltonen is bigger surprise, cause he's not as good as he can play in first 2 lines and he's not good defensive forward. Maybe he is 13th forward.

Peltonen is better scoring, but Pyörälä is all-round player, and those kind of players are rarities all over the world. It doesn't matter, who Finnish forward is away cause of injury cause he can replace anybody. Peltonen couldn't replace J. Ruutu or M. Koivu, cause he can't play defense role and he can't play center (i mean he can, but he can't win faceoffs). Pyörälä could replace both players, he can play both defensive and offensive roles, play winger and play center and win faceoffs.
But that's our team, and we have to respect our roster and head coach.

I read interesting fact about Olympics. In Vancouver, there's no players from Sm-league, but one player from Mestis-league (!?!?), Norwegian goalie Andre Lysenstoen. It's interesting that there's no Sm-leagueplayers, but 14 players from Elitserien. Jyp's Jyrki Välivaara was good candidate to Team Finland, but he has been injured, and he can play in late March.
In Torino's Olympics, there were one player chosen from Sm-league, Latvian Janis Sprukts, but he was injured and he didn't play in Olympics. Latest Sm-leagueplayer in Olympics was Raimo Helminen in Salt Lake City in 2002.

Lysenstoen was also in danger missing those games? I read it somewhere methinks...

I think that Datsyuk plays in 3rd line (Malkin could be 1st line center) with Kozlov and someone else, maybe Tereschenko, if someone is injured. In your roster there's no checking line, who can play against 1st lines. Datsyuk plays 1st pp and 1st pk.

No, no and no again.
First, Kozlov-Fedorov played on the last stage Eurotour and everyone knows that they will play in the fourth line.
Secondly, our coaches have already given preliminary composition of our line and Datsyuk 100% player first line, he will perform the role Backstrom for Ovechkin.
Thirdly, our coaches have said that the fact checking-line we will not, but if you need something in this role and will perform just experienced Kozlov, Fedorov and aggressive Radulov.
As for the game in PK, then yes there Datsyuk can play instead of Zinoviev.
But the fact that line will be, as I wrote - it is 100%, if not injury.

Ok, you know better. Interesting that they don't have checking line. Head coach of Team Finland said that Team Finland have no checking line. I don't know why, cause our 4th line will be J. Ruutu-N. Kapanen-A. Miettinen

If any of the major contenders stick completely to a line configuration...they will lose. You cannot do that in this day and age. I guarantee that the 1st line each team puts out will not be the first line they finish the tournament with. So you can guarantee all you want what a coach says a line will be now, but come February...it will change. And then it could change each and every day. Especially if they lose.
Then again, don't mind if the Russians stay with exactly the same line combos even if it does not work well. Come to think of it, they have done so in the past....and lost.

Bad luck:
First Tuomo Ruutu gets injury, then Teemu Selänne, then Saku Koivu and last night Jere Lehtinen

Hopefully they can play in olympics, Koivu and Ruutu should be in good condition in 1-2 weeks, Selänne 3-6 weeks and Lehtinen is out for unknown time

Selänne maybe.

Timonen played 28 minutes last night so it looks like he's healthy.
