I signed Gladwish for the same reason, although all of them are doing their best impression of a sieve. I'm 3-4-0 after 7 (lost four, then won the last three). Campbell is down with the Legionnaires to get as much playing time as possible, since he seems to be the not-too-distant-future in net of this squad, but he is far from ready right now.
The kick in the teeth was losing Francisco for two months just three games in. Ugghhh.

9 games 5-2-2. Very happy with that. And I do not have Arniel. Played 2 games and got injured for a month. Gladwish is my #1. He plays 2 games, and then Campbell gets one. No back to back games. So far...so good.
Gladwish 4-0-2 1.30 .951 1SO. 9.17 avg rating
Campbell 1-2-0 2.68 .915 8.67 avg rating
These two are by far my best avg rating guy. Next up is Stevens at 7.78

And we just had our first blowout of the season. Game # 26 and we lose 11-2 to Brampton. My team turned stupid. And niether goalie could stop anything.
Hottot's been suspended twice now. And Ritche was thrown out of the 11-2 game so I expect him to get suspended for that.
I'v ebeen contemplating sitting Neal in favor of Neuber, or maybe flip-flopping it.
Arniel has been a bright spot though Leading or at elast hanging around the top of the goals stats for the whole OHL. Ritchie's been decent but undisiciplined.
I'm don't knwo abotu anyone else, but the media has been all over my team. There was one day I had three negative media pieces to respond to. And because of that I have several unhappy players.
Mind I do look at thier ratigns and if they deserve to be critized I critize them, and if they have actually been playing well I do defend them. Most of the time I get the backing of fans and the board when I do either.

I decided not to bring in Katic and Neal. Of the others, only Arniel was sent down. Works for me to have him, Neuber and Stevens as OA's. Brandon Perry is a possible injury replacement down with the Legionnaires.
Both Campbell and Raymond have been injured for me. I'm going to start the season with Phillips and Gladwish with Parker also being signed.

Definitely! I'm hoping people will see that in the rules and on the the new stats recording spreadsheet but it can't hurt to mention it here too.Manimal wrote:I just want to make everyone know that a quarter with this team is SEVENTEEN (17) games, so you don't post the wrong kind of statsbruins72 wrote:I'm fairly pleased with my first quarter results.

They probably have NCAA interest, so they choose to stay away from the OHL. Thats a cool aspect to this game, sometimes you can not get the best players on your reserves.jbsnadb wrote:It did amaze me as to how many of my unsigned players would rather sign with lower level squads than come to training camp.
I agree with you on Kerbashian. He is my leading scorer and had 10 goals in the first ten games. We have gone 3-7 in the past ten, and Kerbashian got pretty quiet at that time.bruins72 wrote:I'm fairly pleased with my first quarter results. I wasn't sub-.500, so that's a good thing. Arniel has been good for me, like he has for the rest of you, but I really like Kerbashian. He's awesome on the LW for my team. Anyone else getting good results from him?
I have Andreychuk as my Head Coach, with Jody Hull (current Peterborough Assistant) and Eric Lawson as another assistant. Ill have to really work on gettin the assistants upgraded.
Im deffinetly focusing on developmet the youngsters, letting them play in important situatins in hopes to take a run at it next season.
Curious as to who you guys have in your lineups.
My lines look like the following
Kerbashian - Arniel - Ritchie
Francisco - Zion - Neil
Campagna - O'Quinn - Hottot
Peters - MacQueen - Preisinger
Katic - Chiarlitti
Rogalski - Paat
Brassard - Sullivan
Campbell
Raymond
Top call up are
Phillips
Stoughton
Kavaratzis
Donati

Through my first 17 games. My young 16 year old goalie Campbell is beginning to steal the job away from Gladwish. Gladwish had a sucky start against Ottawa, 3 days after Campbell had shut them out. I put Campbell in and he allowed no more goals against them again. Gave me a chance.
Anyway through 17...O'Quinn has been a big shock. I just got Arniel back for game 17, and that will take some pressure off of him. My centres are VERY inconsistent as is much of the team. Stevens and O'Quinn appear constant, and Neuber is constantly fighting. Good boy!
Goalie records through 17:
Stevens-O'Quinn-Ritchie
Karbashian-Arniel-Neuber
Zion-Preisinger-Campagna
Alderson-Stoughton-Vickers
Karbashian switches with Stevens and Ritchie alot, and I move Stevens to right side. When I do that Zion moves up to line two, and Vickers to three. Stoughton often gets on the PP, and moves around a fair bit.
Alderson is in and out of line up with Peters and Hottot.
Defense is pretty stable with what I do:
Rogalski-Sullivan
Chiarlitti-Drydak
Broussard-Soucie
With Somerville in and out for Broussard and Soucie, or if one of the others is out for some reason.
So far so good. Hopefully this team keeps it up. Even happy with PP. PK I am ecstatic with.
Campbell 5-2-1 1.51 .951 1SO 9.11 avg rating..the last 5 games 10-9-9-10-9
Gladwish 5-2-2 2.19 .922 1SO 8.44 avg rating..the last 5 games 10-9-9-7-5
So far fairly happy with the team. But really still not sure about my line combos. Have this right now:
Stevens-O'

Yup. I tried getting Reid Boucher and Robbie Hall to sign but they're both set on going the NCAA route.Johnnyluc wrote:They probably have NCAA interest, so they choose to stay away from the OHL. He's averaging a little better than a point per game for me right now but I've noticed that the team doesn't do so well in the game he doesn't score in.Johnnyluc wrote:I agree with you on Kerbashian. Donati, Kavaratzis are on the Legionnaires but they have been called up here and there.

Its a while down the road, but I wanted to be sure.

I haven't found any real good lines yet but this is my line-up right now:
Zion-Arniel-Neuber
Kerbashian-Preisinger-Francisco
Milligan-O'Quinn-Stevens
MacQueen-Stoughton-Hottot
Peters-Campagna
Rogalski-Sullivan
Chiarlitti-Soucie
Flemington-Broussard
Drydak
Gladwish
Campbell
I just sent Ritchie down to get some quality playing time. Milligan has been a real pleasant surprise. The big 16year-old has been a quality checker so far

Thanks, Círyatan! This is why I told everyone that they MUST re-read the rules when I announced the challenge. There were some rule changes made.Círyatan wrote:I guess it's always good to repeat it:Johnnyluc wrote:Just wanted to confirm, because I did read the debates, but are we stilll moving forward with the 4 man trade rule? 2 for 2, 1 for 2 or 2 for 1?

Also, Johnnyluc... you need to put the challenge number into your stats recording spreadsheet. When you post your stats they're showing up as ".1 Games 1-17" instead of "17.1 Games 1-17". There is a big golden box on the recording tab of the spreadsheet where you should enter the challenge number.

Looking forward to starting this challenge off. Happy it's the OHL, as I follow it more closely than the rest of the CHL. Intrigued to see how prospects like Francisco and Ritchie (I draft him in the NHL all the time) develop, even Kavaratzis to an extent. I soon expect Chiarlitti to develop into captain material (much like in real life) and hope Ritchie can be a force in the future.
A positive sign about this Sarnia team at first glance, is that most of the players shouldn't flee mid-season, as they don't have NHL rights (I could be wrong).
Lastly, I already have an idea of a few players I'd like to trade for that are on my 'shortlist', though I haven't officially started. Though 1 for 1 will be difficult.
Good luck to all, should be fun.

I could be wrong, but I believe they cycle what league gets the first selection each year (much like the Mem Cup). So the order for the draft goes for example OHL, QMJHL, WHL, OHL... etc. Then it just goes by league position. Therefore if you finish 20th overall in the WHL, you'd be picking 60th overall in the draft. Hope that helps.macdman wrote:Does anyone know how they determine the order for the CHL Import Draft. Is it by winning percent, or wins, or what?
