He played 23 games I think with Modo last season and got 30 points, not that bad! But I agree that he should've retire already. But I prefer this the way it is than been a REAL Brett Favre.

Calgary's Ales Kotalik cleared waivers so he will play in AHL. Next season in KHL or Extraliga?

I just saw on TV that Jordan Tootoo was out because he was in detoxification.

Did someone knew that? I have never heard of this before.

Peter Forsberg is getting closer to a comeback with the Colorado Avalanche. Apparently, the club has requested the international transfer card from MODO, Forsbergs latest club. They have do so in order to sign him

That Forsberg's situation sucks, I just don't want to see him retiring at 4th line center and 2pp-unit.

He himself must be fully aware what kind of position he is getting himself to, he does it from the love of hockey so it probably doesn't matter to him.

Will he need to clear waiver? Like Nabokov?

I don't think so, cause he hasn't played anywhere during this season.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. I prefer him to take is retirement like this, as a good veteran on a young team than for exemple Kolzig who's been trade 2 times before taking his retirement on a team he didn't played with at all.

Forsberg finally sign his contract! He wasn't in so good condition though so I'm curious to see what will happen.

So does he have to pass through waivers because of how late he is being signed? Didn't this happen with a goalie that Detroit was trying to sign?

I don't think so, cause Forsberg has played nowhere at this season. Nabokov played in SKA before going to Detroit (Isles).

Ah! Thanks! I didn't know how that worked.

I'm not sure, B72, cause Anaheim Ducks just acquired Ray Emery with 2-way-contract and he has to clear wavers (he hasn't played anywhere this season). But I don't know, is it just cause Anaheim send him to AHL.

Ray Emery has to pass waivers as he was actually retired, somehow

Really? Never heard of anything about a retirement....He was out because of his injury.

THN reported that Emery cleared waivers and was sent to the AHL for conditioning. Is this guy just not that good or is it all the baggage he carries?

His reputation mostly. Emery is crazy, he was perfect in Philly. Even the Isles haven't claimed him!

Actually, this is a normal procedure for a player that hasn't played for some time. They play a few games with the AHL team, to warm up. For example Sami Salo did this after his long injury this season, he even scored two goals in his first AHL game, pretty good for a stay-at-home dman.

Chicago acquired Frolik from the Panthers for Jack Skille, Jessiman and Pacan. I hope Forlik will be able to produce points like in previous seasons with Panthers.

From what I'm hearing out of people familiar with the players involved... the Panthers got ROBBED! It was Frolik and a goalie prospect named Salak (who's got some impressive stats and has the potential to be a starting goalie) for Skille, Jessiman, and Pacan. I guess Tallon really wanted Skille because he drafted him when he was running the Hawks.

I agree. Frolik (22) has status of "Baby Jagr". He's been struggling this season but he has bright future for sure. And Salak (24) has 0.924 saving percentage, 2.0 GAA in Swedish Elitserien.

Andrew Peters retires. Canucks put him on waivers and he didn't want to play in AHL so he decided to retire.

Hah, Peter Forsberg announces his retirement.
