The problem there is there are only 2 seasons (the first two years) that foreign goalies can play in Russia in the game. After year 2 there is a hard-code that forces all non-Russian goalies to be cut. So you would have to give the goalies Russian citizenship going into the game. (on a side note Robert Esche is WAY too good the way the game is now)

So basically, I just use the calculator to get the CA of each prospect, then make any changes to general info, and any changes to attributes where I think they should be made? There's not too much change in CA for most prospects, so I'm guessing most attributes would stay generally the same, however, some players have surprisingly low stats in what's seen as their best attributes compared to the rest of their stats.
Example, Luca Sbisa's stickhandling was one of his lowest stats, but Sbisa's stickhandling is known to be his strong point.

So if that is the case, you would alter Sbisa's stickhandling attribute. Use that chart that shows the attribute range for the CAs. For example, if Sbisa's CA is 123 (just throwing a random number out there) and you think his stickhandling is one of his strong points, put his stickhandling somewhere between 10 (the average for CAs in the 120s) and 16 (the max for CAs in the 120s).
Some players might not have been rated correctly because previous researchers weren't very familiar with the players and didn't get good scouting reports. Try to do your best to make them as you think they should be based on the info available to you. Just try not to go overboard and make your favorite prospects TOO good.

When we've completed the spreadsheet, do we upload them to the site and alert Manimal or there a different process?

Other than Radulov and Jiri Hudler(who went back), I don't think the KHL has stolen many good players form the NHL. Mostly over-the-hill europeans and borderline NHLers. They should be better than the SEL, though, so perhaps we should raise their reputation slightly. Anyone else with opinions?
Wouldn't it make sense to set the KHL at 17 so it's halfway between the SEL and NHL?
Yeah, that would probably at least keep some of the good russian prospects from leaving for NA. Or am I wrong? Already in season 2011/2012 many of their older good players start to fade away and from there and one no real refilling of the league will occur. Anyone else who noticed that problem?
That will also make the teams take players from other European leagues. I will change it to 17 and we'll see how it goes

I don't see an option for attaching a file to a PM nor do I see your email address in your profile, Manimal. Am I missing something?

At his profile it says 'E-mail adress" beside that one it says "E-mail Manimal", right click that link and choose "Copy e-mail adress" or something. Otherwise the adress is shown at the bottom of your browser's window.

Thanks.
Actually, I did look there and the field was blank. I just checked it again and it's still blank.
It's no problem now... Manimal emailed me so it's fine. Unless it's me, the field in his profile next to 'Email Address' is still blank.
Cheers,
Leeman

I'm really liking the progress here. I'm definitely interested in helping out, but have a few things on the go right now that I need to see to completion.
If and when there are still teams available to research upon my own personal projects completions, I will definitely step up and help out.
I've got my eyes on those Flamers, unless someone else is stepping up...
Great job, everyone!

Hey could someone post an example of a completed sheet? I wouldn't mind comparing some of the things that I've done to other people. Thanks!

Question on the Islanders, Stefan Ridderwall did not sign this summer though he was offered a contract. it was my understanding that he was now a UFA, but on HF he is listed as a member of the Islanders organization. Is he considered an Islanders prospect or a UFA as far as this update is concerened?

Good call. His rights is no longer with the Isles. Feel free to update him, anyway

He's not listed as a prospect on the Islander's official website. I'd lean towards saying he's a UFA now but if you don't get a solid answer here, you could always post the question on the Islanders board over at HFBoards.

Ha! Beat you to it, B72!
Here is a good article regarding Ridderwall and rights in general

Should I just update him with a permanant concussion? (Speaking of Injuries, what injuries are being added to the update DiPietro's groin/knee? Christopher Heino-Lindbergh's & Victor Fasth (Love how AIK went with the two most hurt goalies in Sweden this year))

No injuries in the update as they are unbalanced and can cause premature retirements
