I haven't checked EHM:EA, but EHM 2007 didn't take any advantage of multi-core CPUs. However, Turbo Boost does kick in with EHM 2007 (which is where a multi-core CPU automatically overclocks when just one core is being used). I can't imagine EA will be any different - it certainly doesn't feel particularly quicker than 2007.

I can't imagine multi-core support being something that is easily added. But, yeah in an ideal world it'd be great to seem simming times reduced care of multi-core CPUs support.

A couple of new ones as I chug along:

1. A truly random database option: Something where it completely starts from scratch instead of changing names (on that note- didn't someone around here have a database with only 1 player and staff and it generated them when the game started?)

2. Clearer explanation of league structure. Take the finish leagues- it's not clear on the information page and takes some digging to find out how promotion, relegation and the playoffs work.

^^^^Those are both really great ideas. I have always wanted a clearer explanation of rules in the game for other leagues, although I do stumble along and figure them out as I go. Still remember and still loved playing as ALMTUNA.

Agreed, it runs pretty good but I would be willing to upgrade to a quad core if it meant it could go through background operations/games like butter. Some 'EHM' days can take minutes to sim through if all options are set high. I want to leave all settings maxed out but figure out hardware wise what would make the biggest improvements (higher clock speed or more cores?). I assume for now its clock speed but I think making this game optimized for multcore processing would be awesome.

Yeah clock speed and using an SSD for your installation folder are the biggest two. I upgraded my C: drive from a spindle to SSD drive and it made a noticeable speed increase for EHM 2007.

There is a blank database with a handful of players/staff, and the game would generate players out of thin air, but at a low rate (at least that's how I remembered it). Just enough to fill the NHL but other leagues would be sparse. It did make me wonder how the game did that but I never followed up. That does remind me of another question I had though...

Not sure if it been ask since I am new to the game. However it would be nice to have a search feature. Say you wanted to make a trade you can search trade and gives you options to select and from there can bring up the trade screen.

Isn't this the same as the Magnifying Glass you can click on at the top of each screen?

2 more things...

I was just viewing the World U20 Junior Championships...I set to view Gold medal game, but you cannot view the Bronze medal game (only one game per day you can view even though in real life if they were on the same day the games would be one after the other) ... wondering if this could be fixed to be able to view multiple games on the same day ( I am sure this is an issue in any league)

As well I noticed that a players form ratings in WJC (ie. 6-7-7-6-8) don't count towards 'overall' rating for that season. Might be a good idea to carry ratings from these tournaments back into the players league as that player may gain (or lose) momentum from such a tournament that could (or should...I assume its not programmed in?) affect them when they return to their respective clubs. (I remember Crosby's game went up a notch upon returning to Rimouski from the WJC tournament in '05)

In a similar vein, a bit more detail in history of international competitions beyond Gold/Silver/Bronze/Host summaries. It'd be cool to see how the standings played out, and in competitions that have relegation, also seeing who got relegated.

I wish as GM we need to set or appoint team captain and Alternate captain early in preseason and the selection won't change even the team captain is unavailable in games because injuries or stretches.

I know that we can set in tactic, but i found that the setting will change every time the player unavailable, for example, I set devils captain as Greene, Alt Captain as Cammaleri and Zajac, then 1 game Greene got injured, then suddenly the captain change to Elias. This suppose not happen at all. :-x

You can. Just have to hit the drop down menu that I believe (do not have game up) is called Stage. At least for all the major ones.

Instead of waiting for it...step up and help out with the research. Leagues are absolutely based upon whether it

a. makes sense to add it in. Will enough people play it to make it worthwhile to take time from the other things that need to be done like proper AI coding, fixing things and changing rule sets for leagues already in the game.
b. The DATABASE--Can only make a league playable if it has enough roster players to fill out the teams etc. If there is no one researching things...then well....not going to have good enough info to put the league in the game.

So.....how you can help get your league in....research everything. Rosters, staff, rules, you name it.....post it here and speak with Manimal about helping out. Get the rules for the league to us...get everything in the game that is there in real life, and then maybe then....SI will take the time to put the league in as playable.

So since the league appears to be gearing up for expansion... I wonder if we'll see an expansion draft worked into the game at some point. :-k

I tried looking all over and haven't seen what I'm describing. The most it will do is list the winner, runner-up and host. I was looking for a more detailed summary re: participants, placement and relegation.

sorry, only kept for current year. Realize now what you are asking for. Something that takes up data space and makes the game slower. This is something they may be able to add. I agree that at least relegation history in the top 3 should be there.

With all these trades going on right now i really wish we had an in game editor to make our own trades to update the rosters. I know an editor exists but i have not clue how to use it. Maybe someone should put a how to video on youtube :)

More FM based ideas stemming from frustrations:

1. Multiple shortlists. You can set them as you want, and put a time limit that players are on shortlists (so when I'm scouting June's FA, I can have them drop from my shortlist in August)

2. Graphs of player progression: So we don't have to record them.

But also would have to update Stats and date to Like July 1st 2015.
It's easy to update Trades in Editor. In Game would need Commissioner Mode as an Option.
Also Trading with other Leagues Option.
Also Team for Sale,Contract with Minor League Team.

1 more to add, a dateline for qualifying offer to any RFAs player..(as GM we should know the dateline for player contract, should we?)

because no dateline, i loose my important prospect player to UFA..(I am new to this qualifying offer matter, before only thought that RFA if not re-sign will be maintain their right, but after this happened, i start learning something, EHM lack of this kind of details.)

hope this can be done. thanks

Players playing in KHL (speaking for Medvescak and other non-russian teams) shouldn't accept NHL offers (two-way) right away....after all they came to the KHL because of money is much larger than AHL :dunno:

After my first season with Medvescak I lost half of team, they signed in NHL and spent most of the next season in AHL.

I reported this problem to Riz several times, I am sure it will eventually get looked at.
