Started with Ducks (ofcourse). First season easily 2nd at conference and won stanley easily on 4-1 against Devils.
Second season was hard, even i got Lecavalier from trade.
Season started fine, after October i had only 1 loss, then, BOOM. Selanne out from 3months, Niedermayer for 2 months, and Getslaf for about 2 months.
Last game, 7th April, against Columbus. I have to win this, and Chicago must lose if i want playoff spot.
I won on shootout, 4-3 on shootout, Pronger did last goal. And Chicago lost. First round against President winner Red wings.
Easily 4-0 win to next round.
Against Calgary Flames, tighlty 4-3 win to next round.
Then to rival, against Kings, i won easily 4-0.
Im proud of myself, i did it. 4-2 i beated Rangers. Amazing!!! But i need to rebuild my roster, so much overaged players.. Niedermayer, Selänne, ETC
Now going for finals, i edit if i won this cup. I really deserve this.
On most worst situation, i were on 14th place of my conference.

I always play the Habs.

I have never done more than 2 years though, it is usually only 1. Not because it isn't fun but because I keep wanting to go back and do something different (different team composition, try new tactics (thanks to the forum I started trying tactics out) etc), or a new Data Base came out.
I am leary of starting a new game now because I figure that once I do the new Lidas Data Base will be out.
Love the game.

In November with my Canucks team - I will play a new one with the new db but I am really having fun with my current team. With the redmover tactic, I am 12-0-1 with the Sedins, Bernier, and Mats Sundin leading the way. I signed Koltzov and he's one of my core d-men at the moment.
I am focusing on getting a bluechip defensive prospect right now. Even though the Canucks are an easy team to start with, I always have fun with them
I did start a Bruins save also for the fun of it.

Right now I'm playing with that save that Calv posted from the TBL Create-A-Star. I've taken over the Bruins (who were a mess) and drafted a few TBLers. I'm trying to get through to the next draft so I can have the opportunity to draft myself.

Draft me

I've played 6 full seasons for Bruins in Calv's game and I'm a sniper

Maybe I will! You're one of the players available in the next draft (like I am). You're very speedy and have a great wrist shot but you're not a physical player and that's what I like. We'll have to see who is available when the time comes!

I'm at the end of 2009-10 season with the thrashers...First 2 years out of the playoffs then lost in the conf finals against the penguins in 2009 and now lost in the conf semi-finals against the sabres.
here's my roster(but now i have to make some changes on the defensive players)
Kovalchuk - Thornton - Heatley
Hamill - Little - Aliu
Bates - Sharp - Armstrong
Wiemer - Betts - Stepp
Kukkonen - Nikulin
Vaananen - Keith
Staal - Valabik
Lehtonen
Thibault
I have Keith and Vaananen maybe leaving the club in one month and i'm bringing up Kulda from the chicago wolves and i've to buy a good defender with experience!

I've stopped playing my Canucks save, because it got to the point where I had too many top prospects and players, and not enough space to do something with all of them. I got overwhelmed and took a break before I started my Habs save.
I just won the Cup in the 2012/2013 season. Hardly made the playoffs the first few years, runner-ups last year, and now won the Cup in 6 over the Canucks. This is my line-up as it stands right now.
Kovalchuk/Karlstrom/Kessel
Heatley/Oshie/Lupul
Karrer/Kesler/Filatov
Hollweg/Smith/Bradley
Hedman/Green
Tyutin/Doughty
Jokela/Timonen
Price/S. Mason
Karlstrom and Karrer are both rookies I drafted who are really good. Both have won the Calder and both are first line potential. I also have Matt Duchene and a guy named Trent Hunter who I rotate in and out with Filatov. Duchene and Filatov haven't progressed very well, so they get less playing time lately. Kessel and Lupul were both steals. Kessel was an RFA and I got him for around $1 million for 3 years, and Lupul got put on the trading block. I got him for the rights to one of my low draft picks and a 5th rounder, then promptly signed him to a new 3 year contract. I gave up a three 2nd rounders and P.K. Subban to get Hedman at the draft. It's worked out really well so far.
The weak spot on my team is defense right now, even though all of the guys are relatively solid. Price has developed really nicely and bails the team out quite a bit. I've got quite a few top prospects I have to figure out what to do with, as I don't have much space for them all. I'm trying not to do the same thing I did with the Canucks, so I have to figure that out.

I started an Isles franchise.
Current lineup -
Lucic / Umberger / Nilsson
Osala / Hodgson / G. Moore
Glencross / Grachev / Clarkson
Nielson / Hornqvist / Orr or Tootoo
Wiit / Streit
Hamhuis / Vlasic
Exelby / Pietrangelo
So far it's not great, but my team is tops in hits, pims and defense.
I just lose 2-0 a lot.
I bumped Evgeny Grachev and Matt Gilroy in the saved game editor......Grachev outplayed Chris Gratton who I claimed from Columbus, Manny Malhotra who I claimed from Columbus and Jeff Taffe who was released by Pittsburgh.
I am still looking for a winger upgrade....very hard to pry a scorer off someone though. I will continue to stay with my theme of two way, defensive forwards.

Can you post screen of Moretti? I would love to see how good he is, when he beats Martin Biron.

Trading Key Players in Juniors

When ur a struggling team like such as Everett what i did was fast simmed from August 30th to March 18th so that i can start a fresh start with scouting prospects and such but i know trading is closed from Jan 8th to June 1st but if your a team that finished bad in 06-07 and say u wanted to rebuild your club like Oshawa did in real life and wanted to trade Zach Hamill in ehm could u expect a worth full package like that or would u an a garbage offer for someone like Zach Hamill... Pretty much i want to rebuild the club and get rid of Zach Hamill and pick up prospects and draft picks...
MOD NOTE: This didn't really need a new thread. You were just talking about what you were doing with your team. I merged this into the "talk about your team" thread. - B72

You can snipe some high picks, great prospects and players if you do a deal like this:
To team A:
Zach Hamill
500k cash (or more but 500 usaully gets you somehing good)
To Everet:
Any player thats not untouchable
1st round
decent prospect
at least its worked for me when i play junior...i sorta feel like im cheating though

My Canucks team is doing well so far in the 1st season. 1st place and while it's not hard with the Canucks, I still enjoy playing as my favorite team and building it with youth and the draft. I may have pulled off my best trade when I saw the Rangers offer Marc Staal for Rathje. I thought that was a really bad deal for New York so I snuck in and offered Salo and to my surprise they accepted and now I have Staal playing with Edler
Great pair they are so far.

21 seasons managing the Flames. After 2105 games, I have a 1252-702-151 record, and have won the last 6 Stanley Cups as well as 8 of the last 9. Also have 4 other Cups from the 12 year span before that. Really looking forward to the new Lidas update, as I don't want to start a new game until it comes out, and winning every year is starting to get a bit boring
The last season turned out quite well, as I managed to hit 55 wins despite my team looking terrible midseason, but a trade with the Rangers got me an awesome player that helped turn around my offense. My fantastic 26 year old Zdeno Chara regen (who I managed to get at #60 in the draft) won his first Norris trophy, Finally, my awesome rookie named
Dusty Paradise managed to put up 97 points in the regular season, as well as 34 in 20 playoff games, while picking up the Calder, Conn Smythe, and Lady Byng trophies. My guess on Paradise is a Scott Gomez regen, though I could easily be wrong.
