Well it's okay, April is pretty fabulous and there might not be room in NYC for two fabulous rock goddesses. However everyone is male int he game 'cept me actually whihc is why I was encouraging you to be one of the girls. 8-)

I'll drop a message to "Chris" at Mecha and see if he's down to join. I'm thinking that Woody and/or Caseus might be inclined to join; I sent one Woody I think a message about joining. Flea can join but he'll have to migate in from Barcelona via hitchiking becuase he probably doesn't have the money for a plane ticket. Mark made it in from the UK and re-established himself as an NYC resident so it can be done.

We'll be back in NYC later today. I've got a pair of black military boots for ya 8-)

Sure. I want us to be a scotish-folk-jazz-group where I play bagpipes and guitar :D

I'm not sure how you do things so if you just set it up I'll join.

Some name suggestions:

Floyd and the Straycats
Floyd's Three Wheel Wagon (or the number of members)

Buhu why can't I edit my posts?

You should be able to, we just have a time-based locking edit system now that gives you like 20 minutes I think it is to edit posts. -Minty

Kris - Combo'd your posts, hope ya don't mind 8-)

But cool, a jazz band. As for the game/learning skills in the beginning you should focus on the bagpipes or the guitar. You can do both though  Basically in picking instruments there is a basic skill like all guitarists need Basic String Instruments, then you practice that to a three star level and you can then specialize in say bass guitar. You have to buy your instrument of course too so to double up would take you twice as long to get the money together and raise your skills enough.

I've got a load of money so I can help you and Archi and whoever wants to join in as I have everyone.

I like "Floyd's Three Wheel Wagon" even if you end up having like 8 bandmembers :-p Some Jazz band names we've had in shows last few weeks: Ice Palace Fusion, Ribby's Roots Rocket, The Tiny Timeshifters and Sam's Swinglines (which is a bit of a theater inside joke)

I just finished a song and I just realized it was a "Sing-a-long"-punkrock song... Can we still use it in our Jazzband?

Seriously, it has to be something wrong with the edit-time function. The edit-function is gone for me. :dunno:

I am running around with no clothes except for a Cowboy hat :D I did buy it, but I still haven't got my task for "Shopping" cleared.

I'll settle for bagpipes then :joy:

The "shopping" one is deceptive; to complete it set your "Spare Time Mission" in Priorities and Skills from your user page to "Go Shopping" and wait until the next update and it will say you spent x amount of money shopping.

There is a new restaurant opening in New York and I messaged the owner, trying to get her to name Kyle (oxenhoper) the CEO so he can then bring you and Archi in as highly paid staff 8-) So don't take a job yet or grab a bartender job at Ristoranti Spazzillio. We're takin ovah! :-p

Uh... not exactly Popo related, but Kris is right, editing is disabled in this Competitions and Games forum for whatever reason. :-?

Try it now... -Minty

Hey hey now... are you causeing problems with my bandmate? I'm not afraid to bust this bass guitar over your head. (cause April will just go buy me another one. :-D )

Also, my next song should be done within the next day or two, I think it will turn out good, I used a inspriational seed or two on it.

Cool deal; I hope to finish off Wrong Way Johnny too, that's this fool that won't want to get done ](*,) That will give us another two new songs to practice before heading for lalaland =D>

Okay, I've gotten you nOObs set up with yoga and history of jazz books, make sure you read them as soon as possible because if you carry them around people will steal them from you. Just go to your items list and it eaither says USE or READ I think... Yoga helps you stay healthier and HoJ gives you the knowledge needed to practice your jazz songs (even though you don't have instruments or skill to play said instruments...).

Many thanks to Minty, I am now improving my jazz and yoga skills.

Floyd's Three Wheel Wagon is now accepting applications

Yeah, we've got some new songs "in the pipeline" so we'll get something going then. I do yearn for the Salad Days where we got points seemingly every other hour... ahh to be a newbie again. Oh well, welcome to the real world.

BTW - You new guys get 'Newbie Points' at each "update" for 15 days. You can then assign your points; start with musicality and IQ, then charm and looks. "Voice" is unfortuantely not very usefull due to a wierd quirk in the game... so don't waste many if any points on it like I did ](*,)

I think my IQ is still at terrible :( I'll use all of points now to improve that.

B. Stinson - fancy forming a band with me?
Sorry, I think I'm gonna stick to my solo career for a while, since I'm finally getting it together and making some progress.

Though, don't be a stranger, and feel free to interact with me whenever you want!(My character = Rory Dunning)

Hi folks.

Minstrel told me of this game, and it sounds pretty cool. I'd like to join a band, if some of you are still looking either for a bass guitar player, or also trumpet, if you prfer it a bit more Ska-like 8-)
