Hey guys,

First off to pre-face this, I've searched the site to find my problem, with no success.

When I try to use the pre-game editor (both 1.6 and 1.7) to open up Lidas' 2.3 update, it won't work.

While loading the database, it gets to 'loading staff' then gives me an alert saying "Access violation at address 00495698 in module 'EHM_Edit_2007.exe'. Read of address 2435A134"

This only happens for the 2.3 update, as the others work fine.

Thanks a ton for the help, and I apologize if this question had already been asked and answered.

I'm guessing it's got to do with protection on the folder you've got the database in. Maybe it's marked as read only? I can open 2.3 just fine with the pre-game editor.

I got 2 teams active but the other 4 wont no matter what i do.

Have you set all fields? Nation, division and other division

I've never come upon this problem before. Have thay all arenas to play in? Perhaps that could affect things, I don't know

I've tried to edit Raimo Helminen's international stats, but allways i put 331 games, 52 goals and 155 assists, they are in game: 75 games, 52 goals, 155 assists. Why i can't put 331 international games?

I've used original db and i've clicked confirm-button and then saved.

Is there any way to play with Dinamo Riga or Dinamo Minsk?

Just replace some RSL team(s) with either one or both of them.

OK I have tried to download and run the Pre-Game Editor V1.7 and nothing seems to work. I don't get an .exe file, I get an unknown file format. So I tried the V1.6 editor and same thing. I had been having troubles with the editor not working (the edits I did were never in the game and yes I always clicked Confirm after every edit).

Does anyone know how to get the editor for download?

I couldn't stand it and I put all 24 KHL teams @ RSL. Looks like that was a big mistake. Now, i have a error and after that don't send error.

There is no chances to play with all KHL temas, right? If there is, then please help.

The amount of teams in each playable league are hard-coded. You can change the teams but not the number of teams.

thanks! so now i'm fiddling with the editor. i just wanted to switch some teams in the nhl around. for instance, make phoenix winnipeg again, so i renamed a few teams, but now when a new game loads it says "index error: unable to find the (team i edited) index" then after the game loads it crashes. what can i do?

You can simply re-name phom changing them to winnipeg, but phoenix still has to be listed in the db. Just take an inactive team (defunct, not in any league) and rename that team phoenix coyotes. that will solve the team index problem.

and yes you may be able to start, but game will eventually screw up.
i'm having this same issue. so if i rename a defunct team, the problem is solved... why will this cause problems later?

Great, then we should have it here on TBL downloads section. Has Lidas this one?

the only problem i'm getting from this now is that if i rename a team with one of the nhl ones that i abandoned, when i start the game, it says it can't find the OTHER team's index now, but everything still loads and i haven't had a crash. so do you guys know if it's safe? or are there particular teams i can manhandle in the editor without having to see that error message when i load a new game?

just for anyone who's having the same issue, you can just click 'add new' and put in the original nhl team that you renamed. this solves the issue of the game not being able to read the index.

robotco, manipulationg with teams and leauge structure is extremly harmfull with this editor and this game.
If you're looking for roster with Winnipeg Jets, try Lidas' db that we used for one of the challenges http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/dl ... ile_id=584 It's proven to be bug free and you can play with the Jets!
But Jets roster is somewhat tweak ;), you'll see. Try it

You can't rename the NHL teams. You *have* to move them somewhere so they're still in the game, and then bring another team of your choice in. If the game doesn't detect all of the team names with the ™ symbol at the end of the name (as well as many of the ECHL and AHL teams I know for a fact) it will crash.

Just move the team you want to move to another lower league, move the new team in to the NHL, swap the staff, and go at it that way.

Renaming the primary teams in the game will always result in a crash, there is no workaround.
