This was sudden!
Poor poor Devils that built their whole goaltending future for years coming around Brodeur, only to have him retired the second season of my game. Sanford is their best choice now and he's a real bust for sure.

I've seen this before but not enough quick to trade with the Canes.....they let him go for a fourth round pick....:-D

So you do not take advantage of bugs? That's brave. :-D In my finnish franchise every single of my players wanted 0€ on 30th April, but then they would not have the time to accept my 500-1000 € contracts, and there were some guys like, Tony Salmelainen, Ville Peltonen... weird though.

Nice, its kind of sad though. I liked Blunden, I brought him up from Syracuse and he was kind of a utility guy for me on the 3rd/4th lines. I'll try and get a decent replacement for him.

Edmonton can't support their small home arena and Columbus is a hockey media city. This is totally realistic! ;)

In my lidas 1.2 game, the Devils are permanent doormats once Brodeur retires. Once he went I think the highest they finished in the conference was 12.

Stanley Cup final #5: (Devils down 1-3) :

somtimes you need a bit of luck too win a championship... like Brodeur getting injured after stopping 110/113 shots

Oh yeah, but they were dirty hits ;)

71 hits, 22 penalties
38 hits, 2 penalties :)

E: oh and also... they lead 3-0 before the 3rd period where they take 10(!) minor penalties. So I score 3 PP goals after letting in 2 shorthanded in the 2nd (a major on Clarkson). Then of course I score the 4-3 goal in PP, 5-3 :)
