Adam Almqvist needs a boost in ability. The kid was tied for 9th in overall scoring in the Elite league playoffs, as well as tied for first among d-men and that was under limited minutes playing down the depth chart. He also lead all players in the U20 Elite league with 34 points in 16 games before his call-up to HV-71.

Hakan Andersson has said he would have been a top ten pick if he was bigger in size. Wings Assistant GM compared him to Tobias Enstrom.

I know I have suggest this before, but after watching him in the playoffs, I know this kid has talent.

WallyWallcakes wrote:First off, let me say THANK YOU to Lidas and everyone else who helped to make this roster update possible.

My question is, why are the Springfield Falcons in the ECHL? The only reason I ask is that I started a season as the Edmonton Oilers and with two ECHL teams, there's not enough room to place all my players on the two farm teams available. (Springfield and Stockton)

While I understand I can loan out all of my players to various AHL teams, it's a bit of a pain for the extra prospects that I DO have. Is there any way to give the Oilers a couple of different AHL teams as a farm affiliate, like in EHM 2005?

I only ask because it's nice to be able to send your players to the AHL back and forth, rather than waiting to get them back from loan...and having them play in the ECHL as opposed to the AHL might not be as good for their development.

And quick question, why are Rochester and Springfield now in the ECHL?

Thanks again for all of the work Lidas and co. Great job. Can't wait to get things going full tilt once again!
It's easy to fix yourself. Use the editor switch leagues and division on Worcester & Springfield.

Ooopss. Could you play in the AHL now

The error i found is that Swedish allsvenskan have 16 team, it should only be 14, Huddinge and Nybro its not in the allsvenskan this year.

And Oliver Ekman-Larsson in Leksand was drafted round 1 not 31
I have written about the league structure in the readme.

As for the drafts, Ekman-Larsson was drafted 2009, but the game starts 2006, so in order to have him drafted at all I needed to work around it like that. (2007 draft is round 11-17 year 2006, 2008 is 21-27, and 2009 is 31-37)

Ps. Excuse me if I was quoting in swedish Ds.

I havent touched the affiliations. I havent decided what to do, but I want to keep the game as realistic as possible. When managing Edmonton wouldnt it be possible take control of the ECHL teams, dump their players, and in that way create spots for your players? Player development shouldnt be hampered since Springfield still have the same training facilities.
Suggestion; If the player uses the editor and makes a switch of teams. ex. change Springfield with Worcester that would be a easy soulution.

Great, did you give the Oil their own affiliation? or do they share two?

Doesn't what you suggest (having several players listed as #1 draft pick overall) make the database unstable?

I don't think so, my "test rabbitt" is in Dec 2010 and the game is still going. But later on I don't know. :dunno:

My personal opinion is that it is just numbers in the game. As it was in the database from scratch, several drafted players missing draft year, round or even #pick. It was even players drafted at the same positioning.

Would the game makers in that way make a game that is unstable from the beginning? :-?

Hell, I don't know but you can only imagine because there are MANY things who has to be edited from the beginning. :-k

Blake Robson haven't played in Vaasan Sport for 2 years, but he's still playing in Sport ingame.

In Vaasan Sport, there's some 28 years old Tero Heikkilä, but it should be Tomi Heikkilä

Petteri Tasku should be in HC Luvia, not in TuTo Turku.

Ilkka Saarela should be free agent, not in TuTo.

Christopher Dahla should be free agent too.

Iiro Junnila should be in VG-62 Naantali, not in TuTo.

Timo Kinnunen should be retired/free agent.

And I've noticed that this 2.3 update consists some of the transactions for season 2010/2011? If its meant to, then Ari Reunanen should be moved to TuTo.

Little offtopic, some of these mistakes have been in game like in every 2.X versions, so do you have any Mestis researchers? I could do Mestis -research for next season.

Prab Rai -- drafted by Canucks within the db it says the blackhawks drafted him.

Some overrated players:
Joffrey Lupul
Dion Phaneuf (he is the best defenseman in the game that is just crazy)
Paul Stastney
Jay Bouwmeester (he is fine besides the fact he is an offensive juggernaut, he should struggle to break 50 points)
Shane Doan
Loui Eriksson (his offensive stats need to be toned down a bit)
Scott Hartnell (his offensive stats need to be toned down quite a bit)
Jarome Iginla (he should peak at 90 points)
Chris Higgins (seems to put up a regular 80 point season)
Zetterberg Datsyuk Franzen (their offensive stats need to be tone down a bit)
Saku Koivu (over rated offensively)
Steve Sullivan (his offensive stats also need to be toned down a bit)
Paul Kariya
Tuomo Ruutu (again offensive stats need to be brough down)
Milan Hejduk (needs to be brough down to a 60 point high)

What goes wrong with the draft?
When you're in the WHL (I have started unemployed with the Lidas 2.2 and Ceebee is telling me the same problem happen with the 2.1) you doesn't get your right place in both Bamtam selection and CHL import draft. I finished first in every of my season in the WHL and I got the 14th pick. Ceebee also told me he has the 5th draft in the CHL Import when he finished first in the CHL.

So I did a test to see if it was my NHL EHM 07 that had a problem with the unfake database and it seems I had the right spot with that roster.

I Have the same problem in the NHL with my database. If you yank and comes deadlast you always drafts at #11 and the lottery is banged upp to. Chicago finnished with presidents trophy and got #1 overall. Think that's something you have to live with. Btw I haven't even used Lidas db.

I mean you had some conclusions about my database is unstable, because I make the drafts as they ar IRL.

What I meant was that a database seems like can be unstable without putting real drafts too.

By the way; My brother is in Feb 2011 with my expanded AHL and WHL leagues. (He was very stubborn to try without move teams to custom leagues :-D) And it still looking good. And what we noticed is how much the player stats in my database reflects the real world after almost 5 seasons. I'm more than satisfied with that. Some players have been edited due to too much point coming in, but as the whole game this far I'm as said more than satisfied. And it looks like players can be bust altough they have -10 in Pot. ability.

2009-10 Playoff Statistics
1.) Sidney Crosby - 12 GP - 6 goals - 19 points
1.) Jonathan Toews - 11 GP - 6 goals - 19 points
2.) Johan Franzen - 12 GP - 6 goals - 18 points (Scored a point in all twelve playoff games)
3.) Michael Cammalleri - 13 GP - 11 goals - 16 points
4.) Joe Pavelski - 11 GP - 9 goals - 15 points
4.) Mikael Samuelsson - 11 GP - 8 goals - 15 points
4.) Henrik Zetterberg - 12 GP - 7 goals - 15 points
5.) Daniel Sedin - 11 GP - 5 goals - 14 points
5.) Mike Richards - 10 GP - 4 goals - 14 points
5.) Henrik Sedin - 11 GP - 3 goals - 14 points
6.) Patrick Kane - 11 GP - 6 goals - 13 points
6.) Pavel Datsyuk - 12 GP - 6 goals - 13 points
6.) Patrick Sharp - 11 GP - 5 goals - 13 points

As for Franzen, he scores plenty in the EHM game, but to look at his playoff stats the last three years... 51 GP - 21 goals - 59 points - +29... To me that is a big time offensive player.

Koivu's stats are overrated but in my games he scores allways something like 14-22 goals + 35-50 assists, so i his stats aren't much overrated, only a little.

In my games Ruutu is as good as in real life, 40-60 points a season.

Lidas, excellent work on the roster updates. Thank you for all you have done. I was recommended to post this here for your and, potentially, our benefit...

It comes from this thread: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... php?t=5123 - a thread about losing group II restricted free agents to "unsigned prospect" free agency...

My thoughts:
Yeah, this happens to me too. With a lot of the same players that you guys mention. Interestingly, it doesn't seem to happen later on in the game with regen prospects. I don't really know a ton about database entering, but this could have something to do with the history of the player. Let me try to maybe make a suggestion:

In the NHL, you lose a North American player two years after being drafted if he's unsigned (this includes a player like Voracek as he was drafted out of Halifax of the QMJHL). If he's on your farm club for a couple seasons, he's registering little or no NHL time and is lost as an unsigned prospect - not an unrestricted group III free agent (like an UNqualified group II restricted free agent). Leaving as an unsigned prospect in this game does not require the player to re-enter the draft.

My suggestion would be to give these players a proper history or proper experience or something to trick the game into thinking he's played a couple seasons in the NHL.

Or, and additionally, these players would be much easier to re-sign in the first place if they weren't given their whole bonus structure (I've seen some of these bonuses in these contracts, they are nearly impossible to hit, those level 'A' bonuses). There's no reason for Andrew Cogliano to be making $2.25 million or whatever he makes.

Let's come up with a system for future edits:
Tier I prospects get their salary + half of their performance bonus value (Doughty, Bogosian, Stamkos, Voracek etc.)
Tier II prospects get their salary + one-quarter of their performance bonus value (Mikael Backlund, James Neal, Oscar Moller, Max Pacioretty)
Tier III prospects get their salary only (ya know, the rest of them...Evgeni Dadonov, Andrew Cogliano I guess, etc.)
Just something to consider, if you need any help on draft eligible prospects in 2010-2012 or any and all NHL players scouting reports, please don't hesitate to ask!

I found the data error that made the DB crash, so it shouldnt crash due to data issues now.

Lidas: if you want to, I can edit the players in the Rangers organization CA/PA and attributes.

Since I have come to the conclusion (and others too) that a players weight (and speed to some extent) matter how prone he is to hit. I'd also like to edit players weight.

For example: Olli Jokinen had 281 hits in 82games in my save now (simulating one season). In real life he has like 2 hits/game. The easiest way to regress his "proness-to-hit" is reducing his weight and some minor adjusting of his attributes.

Another example is Ryan Callahan: In real life he had 285 hits and in my save 44 hits. In his case his attributes isn't very accurate but upping his speed and weight would make him more accurate.

I'm not talking off the charts changes, but something like 15 in acc/speed and 90kg (+7kg).

I'm also willing to edit other NHL teams if you'd like :)

PM me if your interested.

Mike Johnson, RW, didn't play during the 2009/10 season. According to eliteprospects.com he has retired.
There's another Mike Johnson in the database too who plays D. He has also retired.

Hi, I have a quick question. I play this game obsessively (and have been since the days of Smetana's rosters), and I did a quick search of the forums but couldn't find an answer.

Did anyone else notice that so far for the first two years during Free Agency several extremely good young players are available and NOT resigned by their team? I have seem the following:

Kyle Turris
Brandon Sutter
Cody Hodgson
Jonathon Blum
Mikael Backlund

I was wondering if this has been fixed in the newest update.

Thanks!
