Flights to LA for us lower class guys are $270 each way, April class on the other hand will be more.

Yikes! Good thing we'll all be getting paid around that point. I've been holding onto my cash just in case this happened. I wonder how bad London is going to be?
Join me on the flight on saturday at 12:00 from JFK if you like.

I just got the bartender's job at Ristoranti Spazzillio (soon to be Oxenhoper's). Time to earn some money
Kris - how are you getting on? We still need a few more band members. Hopefully Woody will join soon.
Man, this game is getting very addictive!

It really is killer addictive... there's a reason we're on Page 25 already
oxenhoper wrote:A chick i've been getting jiggy with has given us an invite to play in Paris..............
Duuude... nice work! I had to accept that one; that club is 5 stars and they do most of their stuff by invite only! So I guess we'll arrange for a Paris leg after the London leg but it will be starting with that Thursday show.
The tix issue is why I've set us up for weekend shows allowing us to get back here to NY to getz paid inbetween. Also it does give you guys time if you want to forgo April class and hitchhike or take the bus just arrange to get there a day early so if you have delays you don't miss the gig. Everyone had to fly to TO so they could knock the plane flight off their Momma list but now you can hitch/bus it if you want.

What's the deal with clothes? Does it have any effect if I'm no longer wearing a t-shirt because I've sold it to the second-hand shop?
Instaaled - we could really do with a female bass player, pianist or drummer if you're interested

Last I saw the guy who owns Punks in the Hall where I'm CEO, Luke, (seriously, if anyone hasn't checked out
his profile page you should gawk at it... especially his skills darn!!!) he was wearing only his tattoos and a pink top hat
So no, clothes do not in Popo at least, make the man they just give him style and individualty. It also shows that you can afford stuff so it's a status thing too. April is styled after one of those punk girls that wears like 8 colors in every outfit if you look at the colors of her stuff she's rockin the shades of red and blue thang right now. Here's a list ordered from "Red Wings to tail" as punk female friend of mine used to say instead of saying "head to toe"
French Beret (Purple Cotton)
Sunglasses (White)
Tattoo (Upper Body) (Brick) ☭
Coat (Purple Latex)
Scarf (Maroon Silk)
Corset (Lavender Latex)
Belt (Pink Leather)
Spiked Bracers (Black)
Gloves (Crimson Silk)
Pants (Black Leather)
G-String Underwear (Black Latex)
Moon Boots (Steel Blue)
Back to my friend Rebbie for a minute though she would totally dress that way daily to match up with her mutlicolored dreadlocks... and if you asked her what she did over the weekend she'd say she was at whatever club on whatever night "totally dolled up Red Wings to tail in latex" or whatever.

She was a blast but one of those "beautiful wrecks" so to speak and her job just endulged her to be out there and crazy as she was a fetish photographer and worked reception during the week at a tatoo parlor and on weekends at a leather shop... yeah, I've got some very non-traditional friends

Sent you a message at Popo

Check out our Knowledge Base if you haven't yet as I've tried to add in some new player info recently as we've got some new people joining and as you can guess from the length of the thread we've been bumping around trying to figure it out for a month or so now.

So if you have any questions check there first then feel free to ask here! Welcome to the game and welcome to NYC.

It may be a big city but there are over a dozen TBLers in PopoNewYork to help you out

Let me know what color set you want. My bonus money is running low from speading the wealth but it's better to help you guys out than have 10 grand just wasting away in the bank. Here's the color selections:
Drums (Black) 1 500 US$
Drums (White) 1 500 US$
Drums (Red) 1 500 US$
Drums (Green) 1 500 US$
Drums (Blue) 1 500 US$
Drums (Yellow) 1 500 US$
Drums (Purple) 1 500 US$
Drums (Pink) 1 500 US$
Drums (Brown) 1 500 US$
Drums (Grey) 1 500 US$

You're kidding me right? WOW, Minstrel you are too kind!!
Man, I feel shy saying this but here goes:
May I please have a Blue Drum Set please.

Pink it is!!!
But really, I wouldn't have listed the color options if I was kidding

I still have almost 8 grand in my bank account and make around 4ish a week so I'd rather help people out with it than just sit around and count it while I am here chained to my songwriting desk (up to 82% with the last update! wOOt!). Your drums will be at my place in a few minutes, though you'll just have to pretend it's PopoChristmas since it ain't really.

Also pretend I wrapped them up real nice and got your name engraved on 'em in gold
Okay, got 'em. Now.
read the following three or four times...
Don't carry your drums with you!! Someone could steal 'em. Go the NYPD and have them tagged as yours then leave them (drop) in your
locked apartment/mom's place unless you are goign to a jam session or a show and then
put them back right after 'cause I ain't buyin ya another set, capiche? Good. Enjoy.

Yes, this is all my "fault". I know.

Vinlo - I just sent you a message.
You're currently a member of a group called Misfire. You need to leave this group in order for me to invite you to ours. To leave your band:
1) Click on 'Career' at the top of the screen.
2) Click on 'Members & Songs' in the right hand menu.
3) Click on 'Manage Members'
4) Click on 'Leave Band' to the right of where your name is listed.
Then send me a message and I'll add you to our group

I made a couple of purchases from the second hand shop:
* Bandana
* Gloves (I've got a cold - maybe because I ditched my t-shirt?!)
* Condoms (from a second hand store?! Ewwww)
* Picnic basket
And I sold my jeans. I just go round wearing gloves and a bandana
Good tip about going to the NYPD to get all of my stuff marked

You're up to 176 now I think... so you should clear 200 by showtime at $4 a piece you get 50% so that should give you guys enough to accept the invite; but if you'd rather use the money to pay for jams instead, feel free. Since I'm in charge of invites you won't lose your slot for not replying right away; you could even wait a month really.
Archi: I have to say that I really hope I'm not the only one that reads picnic as a three syllable word, like Yogi the Bear would. I see and hear in my head pick-ah-nick every time

The second hand condoms though is classy with a capital K.
I'm 'fraid I prolly gave ya the cold I just got over it... my bandmates and their trollops
So TDG the question is once we get to London (we can hitch if we leave early enough) we have the time to hitch to Paris for the Thursday invite and our newly booked friday show and then we're on the game's mailand so to speak, so instead of hitching back right away (I say hitching because my NY-Paris flight was 1250+ bux, double that if you go April Class) we could be travellin vagabonds for a while and try to hit as many countries as we can before returning and probably releasing our first single. Anyone mind spendin a few weeks on the road?
The gigs and then the single would hopefully would get us the money for a proper touring vessel

I'm cool with it, how long does it take to hitch from one city to another though?

Check out the "Travellers Guide" "Highway Routes" in 'Community' they have average times on there. What happens is you get picked up by another (fictitious) band who says you can hop on their tour bus; but if it breaks down you can get delayed. It would be 18h here to London, but only 6 then to Paris.
Once we're in Paris there's tons of places to go that are very close together, Madrid is 3 hrs and Barcelona is 6 (it's 2nd largest city as well) so if we plan ourselves a day to travel between shows we should be fine and only have to pay for hotels... so I'd just book us to hop around the routes before we swing back.

I think I bought a ticket for the 16:00 flight just in case I needed to do anything before leaving for the left coast. The London flight is going to be very expensive I'm guessing. Maybe after our last show in LA I'll just start hitching a ride to London?

I have yet to own or wear any form of underwear in this game. I recently bought a kilt and staying true to my Scottish heritage, I wear nothing under my kilt.
