What's your tactics to have 120 shots in an NHL games??? This must be a bug or something, i know the games have sometimes realistic problems but i've never seen a amount of shots like this, ever!

visualdarkness // haha I'm more concerned about scoring 4 goals on 129 shots :P

philou // Haha well I do have an offensive tactic. But consider 22 penalties and the fact that the game went into a 4th OT period :P

Alright that explain's it. :-D I didn't notice that you go to 4th OT. But the Devils with 39 sucks though. With an entire game of penalty it's true that you don't have much time to shot on goal. :-p

In one of my old WHL saves one of my players got suspended for that a bunch of times (I think 8 times) in one season. I haven't seen it since then.

Yup. I've had it a few times. You offer a qualifying contract and the player doesn't accept. If they're arbitration eligible (I forget the requirements) after they leave the team on July 1st, you get the arbitration message sometime later. You'll get a news item saying what the arbitrator decided and you have the option of accepting or not.

Yupp, almost at least, Grebeshkov didn't want to resign due to unhappiness. But after his contract went out he wanted to sign again. I had no salary space for him at the moment so he wanted to go to arbitation altough I signed him before that.

I love the 1979 database, not the least of which is when scenarios like this pop up:

But when I signed the player before arbitration, (was a Calder cup winner 3 years before now) there were no arbitration. Oh, well, nice to find out that though.

If you agree before the arbitation it's cancelled. The first message comes in the beginning of the summer and the arbitation takes place in August I think.
