Glen was a star in Finland not so many seasons ago. He played two seasons for Jokerit notching 50 and 47 points in 55 and 51 games. Always liked this guy, also for his history with the Caps.
Here's for good luck to Metro!

Zamuner was pretty good for a while there!

Yeah he even made an Olympic team. Mind you..one that did not pick Gretzky to partake in a shootout, and frigging lost. Yeah, Zamuner was the best player available for Canada. One of the 23 best in our entire country. Jesus/

Luongo has now been hit by
1. Cowan
2. Linden
3. Cowan
4. Cooke
5. Pyatt
Pretty sure just practicing so he gets ready for the real season. Anyway, if they lost Salo that hurts. Linden...not so much.
Oooh.....Corson...ah yeah right...we lost!

This isn't a player transaction but I thought it was worth mentioning here. Cam Neely is being named as a Vice President of the Boston Bruins at some point today...

Cam Neely, now where do I know that name?
Yea, I'm somewhat against former players being Vice/Presidents of teams, from what I've experienced they rarely are any good for the team they played with.

Yeah, wondering where I have heard it before too? I think somewhere around the time of Barry Pederson and draft of Glen Wesley. Ugh.

Yeah, but you know you've got lots of love for Cam, batdad!
He's just a VP and I think his job is mostly to light a fire under Chiarelli, the coaches, and players when needed. It's also a PR move. I don't think he's going to be in a situation where he can have a negative impact.

Well, it seems that my hidden dream to see Brent Sopel sign with the B's will remain a dream....
...he has just signed a one year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks valued around $ 1,5 millions
as per TSN
I really cant believe why Chiarelli hast pushed a bit for him....he's a good dmen and we really need a top4 guy...and also he has signed pretty cheap (only 1,5 mill....thats a lot less then what Markov is asking for, as far as I know...).
Nevermind...
