I've seen that a few times. I can't explain it either though. :dunno:
Edit: In my game I checked Kopitar's bio and it said that he's dissapointed that LA couldn't win the Stanley Cup, but LA was playing finals currently. Can anyone explain that one?

Nitty said something like that in the conference finals and then my Hawks won the Cup! :joy:

Oh I see :D I was starting to worry that he has gone totally crazy :D Maybe I just offer him a bit smaller amount of money :)
Just wait until the season is closer to it's end. Then it will either be realistic or he just doesn't want to.

This is my first post, I have lurked on these boards a while here and there and enjoy the insight here but I absolutly needed to post this confusing situation.

Okay here is the setup. I am using Libas 2.1 and Fantasy drafted, I have won both cups and am now close to the trade deadline in the 2008/2009 season. I picked Joachim Nermark 1st round 26th overall in the 2008, at the time he was rated a 1st line talent by my scouts and had relativly decent stats compared to the rest of the trash in the draft. Cue a couple days ago in my simming and loe and behold Luongo goes down for 4 months for the Penguins (who mind you are nowhere near in the playoff hunt). I go to offer them a trade for Luongo to see if I can pry him away while injured and they would accept Nermark straight up for him even though my scouts now rank him third line talent.

And then this

I honestly don't understand how both the fans and the board feel so outraged by trading a prospect that might never make it to the nhl for Roberto freakin Luongo... And then after being so enraged they comment on how they are so happy to have Luongo. Makes my head hurt. ](*,)

Even if you get Wayne Gretzky in a trade, the board/fan will always been furious if the player is injured. I think they see this completely usefull to trade for a injury guy, even if he is injured for only 2 weeks. Sometimes i just wanna make a trade to go search a good third liner and if he is injured, the assistant GM always disagree.

Maybe they think it's cheesy to trade for injured players?

It depends on what youre team needs are. A future top-line centre or a franchise goalie? You decide

Hey I just play the game the way it is designed and I understand that no matter how it is programmed it will never be a perfect representation of how the NHL is run. I understand why some people purposly add more limitations to themselves in an attempt to more closely simulate realism but I play the game to have fun and this is my way to have fun.

Hey calm down, he was asking a question, there's no way to be offend by that, he didn't question your way to play the game.

Hehe, this weekend started with me drafting someone called "Mickey Hickey". Then Daniel Briere retired and became a 20-rated goalie coach...

Its been a while since I've played this, with backpacking around europe for a couple months. But a recent back injury has given me nothing to do So I started a game with the Prince Albert Raiders and put me and a few of my friends in the game as well. One of them with their birthday was not eligible for the draft, but I was able to sign him during the summer after the first season. Well with the predictions having me in the toilet i traded away some garbage prospects and youngsters for the rights to evander kane and tyler myers hoping for some luck. Well I got it, both were returned. Even though my goaltending was terrible, I got awesome performances out of Kane, Myers, Ryan Button and i think his name is Jordan Rowley(defensemen, had close to as many goals as Kane, also had a Belarussian(Igor Revenko, got the WHL +/- award) on my top line with Kane at center and Nino Niedereitter on the other wing, he was awesome. At seasons end I made the playoffs and took round 1 with ease. round 2 i went up 1-0 and found myself losing 3 games to 1 fairly quickly. Figuring i'm done, and had a fairly successful season I played my next game, and won, and went on to win the series. however, that glory was short lived as i was pounded by Brandon in 5 games. Brandon took the Cup and went on to place third in the Memorial Cup with Windsor winning it and Vancouver coming 2nd.

just a note, the first whl bantam draft is terrible, nobody decent, except a few created players. Which 1 was drafted by Saskatoon, another by I think it was Kootenay, and my own self taken by Red Deer... took alot to pry those rights away from Red Deer.

However I am currently 2 months into season 2 (now Currently in control of Prince Albert, Lewiston, and Gatineau) and this upcoming CHL Import Draft is unbelievable.

Also, I traded for the rights to Nicklas Jensen with Lewiston, he's a Danish player, quite good it seems, and he won't come over to North America, even for a signing bonus of $370,000. However I did get lucky with Prince Albert yet again, the Ducks signed Mikael Granlund, and did send him down to me :). And Kane came back for a 2nd season, top line in Prince Albert is quite amazing, with Granlund - Kane - Niederietter

Well that was Long and I know most of you won't read it anyways :)

but If I had that game on this computer I would be able to post more stats.

Alright, I can't figure out how to put the screenshot into this post, I've done a search but still can't find the answer.

Anyways, my weird moment has just happened to me in the playoffs. I was supposed to start the Conference final against the Canucks on 13 May. Then on 12 May Game 1 moved to 13 May, then on 13 May it moved to 14 May etc...until finally we played Game 1 on 16 May in Vancouver. My Hawks won and went up 1-0. Then Game 2 ended up being in Chicago, I won that one but it now said series tied 1-1. Then I won game 3 and it said Canucks up 2-1. Finally the Canucks won game 4 and it said Canucks up 3-1. I won game 5 and it said Canucks up 3-2. Then Canucks won game 6 and it said Canucks win series 4-2.

If you can follow all of that, it basically comes down to the fact that I won 4 games to 2 but it says the Canucks won 4-2. Obviously it has something to do with Game 1 "moving" on the schedule, but i've never seen this happen before.

Now my team is out when we should be in the cup final!!!!

Do you have a screenshot? You could always just paste the link into your post. Either that or if you use "Reply" instead of "Quick Reply" there is a button you can click to insert and image.

That link doesn't work for embedding an image in a post. To do that you actually have to use a link to a jpg, png, or gif. When I copied and pasted that link into the address bar of my browser, it redirected to

I think that's what you should be posting.

That's a 10 million contract bug. If you offer 10 mils to your player, his salary will be 50,000 $.

Not that it matters too much, but you actually won 4-1.

Its 10milllion bug, no excuse. That happens when you offer 10mill per year contract and he accepts, no ways to fix that bug. Only one way maybe: Dont offer10millions

Ok, so offer 9.9 then if you can, or if the AI does it, do it too, because the AI teams could get pretty good pretty fast that way.

Or 10.1 mils
