Flair doesn't have to be consistent, and it would be Hasek who's flair would be too low. Ages match up, he's Czech, and his reflexes are high.
However, now looking at his height and weight, Hasek makes more sense. I suck with CM/Ft and KG/Lbs conversions

The key to finding big-name regens is in their mental attributes. Remember, the rest of a regen's attributes are random, so you're bound to get a few that are high here and there. I honestly don't believe that your goalie Karjicek is either Cechmanek or Hasek.
Cechmanek's Flair is 18 and Hasek's Flair is 20
The consistent attributes are Flair, Bravery, and Aggression. Height and Weight are the same. Shooting hand / Glove hand are the same. Consistency is the same. I know you doubt me Alex but I have been playing since EHM 2005.
If you (meaning the original poster - Meyerson) want to figure out who your regens are it would be easier for you if you start a new game with fog of war off (with the same database you are using), save it, and refer to it every time you have a regen question. Click on scouting and then selectively choose what you want. Then, organize them oldest to youngest and bingo!
I think it would benefit all of us if the person requesting regen help list's the database they are using and whether or not they changed anything else. Also, listing the consistency of the player in question would help too.

I just drafted Swedish center on the first round, 6'5 tall, shoots right, C/LW position, high mentals and 18 Cons, who is it? I'm really bad identifying regens - only one i always notice is the Hasek regen.
EDIT: At the next draft a center fell to me also - Drafted the swedish one in 2012 10th overall, in 2013 i drafted 9th overall and guy ranked 2nd fell to me, could'nt let him on the boards

He's 5-11 C/RW 18 Cons, 17 Flair, 19 Teamwork, 2 Influence and rest of the mentals are pretty decent (10-13) except for aggression which is 5.

Per HoF of the game Sundin was listed only as C, and i thought position stays the same.
EDIT: Gah, nevermind, seems like everybody there are listed only as their primary position.

Seriously, does anyone actually read the whole thread before they post, or just slap something on the end and roll the dice?

Tony Amonte?
Is American born stay consistent with regens, or is it just any north american nation?

I've been really interested in how regens work lately, so I decided to do some research and compare a few players to their regens. I'll post more as they come, but this is Petr Maksimov, a regen of Alexander Korolyuk.
Bio
HT: 5'9" -> 5'9"
WT: 194 -> 194
Position: LW/RW/C -> LW/RW/C
Shoots: Left -> Left
Birthplace: Moscow, Russia -> Togliatti, Russia
Favorite Number: 94 -> 75
Consistency: 16 -> 17 (+1)
Offensive Role: 17 -> 17 (0)
Defensive Role: 7 -> 7 (0)
Physical
Acceleration: 16 -> 15 (-1)
Agility: 17 -> 10 (-7)
Balance: 14 -> 19 (+5)
Speed: 16 -> 14 (-2)
Stamina: 15 -> 16 (+1)
Strength: 13 -> 20 (+7)

Anticipation: 14 -> 13 (-1)
Bravery: 10 -> 9 (-1)
Consistency: 16 -> 17 (+1)
Decisions: 13 -> ?
Dirtyness: 9 -> 9 (0)
Flair: 18 -> 15 (-3)
Imp. Matches: 13 -> ?
Leadership: 17 -> 15 (-2)
Pass Tend.: 8 -> 10 (+2)

Technical
Agitation: 11 -> 11 (0)
Checking: 12 -> 14 (+2)
Deflections: 13 -> 15 (+2)
Deking: 15 -> 16 (+1)
Faceoffs: 9 -> 14 (+5)
Getting Open: 15 -> 16 (+1)
Passing: 13 -> 14 (+1)
Pokecheck: 10 -> 13 (+3)
Positioning: 11 -> 15 (+4)
Slapshot: 14 -> 16 (+2)
Stickhandling: 16 -> 17 (+1)
Versatility: 13 -> 14 (+1)
Wristshot: 14 -> 16 (+2)
Korolyuk -> Maksimov.
Korolyuk is at 130/140 ability, while Maksimov is at 140/140.
Consistency did not stay the same, which was weird? Physical attributes, with the exception of Injury Proneness, seem completely random and independent of the regen. Birth country is the same, however place is totally independent. Height, weight, handedness is of course the same. The player seems to take on almost entirely the typical technical mold of the regen, but the differences in Positioning and Faceoffs was weird. Staff Attributes look to be 100% independent.
The only thing that's really confusing me is Mental Attributes, they seem to only vary a little bit from the regen, but some are totally off. I'll do a few more to try and compare.

Antonin Melichar, a regen of Richard Kral. Both players stats were received while they were 100/138 ability.

Mental attributes continuing to prove more random. Faceoffs, Pokecheck, and Positioning confuse me...

Okay, im using the latest Lidas database, and all these players are coming out of the '09 Draft(First for Euro regens to appear). Any help identifying these players would be greatly Appreciated
Here is Pavel Vorobiev, Im almost 100% sure its Mogilny. 15 Consistency
Now this guy im unsure who he is, Ranked #1 in the Draft Rankings. 15 Consistency
Im guessing this goalie is Irbe, as he is from Latvia, but just wanted another opinion to make sure. 12 Consistency and Ranked #17 in the draft.
Now this guy i have no idea who it could possibly be. Ranked #7 in the draft. 14 Consistency

I've been searching for the last 20 minutes or so and think i've found a match for the Russian. The original player was Valeri Karpov.

Soo.. anyone have any idea on this one? I first thought that he is Sakic regen, but he doesn't have extreme PA at all, only around 160. Consistency is high as 18 and I'm using some version of UUDB.
