Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
I've updated the first post with a link to Play on Mac. I've heard a couple of people mention that it works well: https://www.playonmac.com/en/download.html

This works very well (running 10.10.3 on an early 2011 15 inch MacBook Pro), just wanted to say thank you for the work you put in to make this happen.TealShark wrote:I decided to throw together a pre-built Wineskin wrapper for the new EHM for anyone still having issues getting it to run under Crossover or Wine....

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
So I got the game running through steam via PlayOnMac but I'm having trouble getting the rosters and such on there. Any tips as to how to do it? I downloaded it via Safari and can't access it on Steam through. Tried getting IE on PlayOnMac which worked, but when I try to download the roster pack it stops downloading towards the end and won't finish.

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Hey, I'm having the same issue. I've downloaded your pre-built Wineskin wrapper and can play Ehm 2015 just fine. I'd love to add the rosters but am running into the same trouble as cstorring in that I have no idea where to put the file. Also, (not sure if this is helpful), I've been reading that I should be able to look in my applications folder and see Ehm in there but it isn't so perhaps i haven't followed all the instructions?
***just got it all to work!" Just had to read the instructions again and it works as it should. Thanks!***

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Just installed OSX El Capitan ja EHM EA on pre-built Wineskin wrapper stopped working. I tried to reinstall everything but when I start the application nothing happens and it shuts down without any window appearing. Anyone else playing EA with El Capitan?

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Just updated to 15.14.0b and I can't seem to get EHM to open anymore.
If I click 'play' it gives me the "preparing to launch" message, but the EHM window never appears. And when I click 'play' a second time, I get the "failed to start game (app already running)" message. Help!

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Same issue remains on the hotfix. I wish I was smart enough to find a fix myself but alas...
Edit: and now, having upgraded to El Capitan, I get this message before I can even get Steam open within Wine:

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Has anybody had any luck running the EHM:EA Assistant on Mac? I tried to run it in PlayOnMac and Wine (admittedly though I am not very proficient in either) but it never started up.
EDIT: I'm running EHM through Steam on PlayOnMac with no problems.

I have the same problem with the wineskin TealShark build for us. Seems like the latest update just breaks everything

I got it running with playonmac. So if anyone has the same problem just try it with playonmac, works like a charm!

I'll have a go running it on that and hope it works.
I think whatever the issue with the wrapper TealShark made for us, it probably relates to this thread: http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-v ... s_offset=8

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Gave PlayOnMac a go and while I can get Steam to install, whenever I try and download/install EHM from there, PlacOnMac crashes. So I'll give up and just hope an updated wrapper gets put out sometime soon.

Anyone get it to work on Mac OS X El Capitan?
I've tried the wrappers, PlayOnMac and Crossover and none seem to work.

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Everything works fine until I click to launch the game in Steam. The game seems to launch in the background but you can't see it. And there's no way to bring it to the front. And when I click to launch the game again, it says that the game is already running.Koekenbakker wrote:Didn't update yet so not sure. What happened when using playonmac?

I got it to work through PlayOnMac.ottawa wrote:^ same problem, says game is already running when it's clearly not.
Open Finder and go to: <username>\Documents\
Backup any saved games and other files in "Sports Interactive\EHM" folder you want to keep
Delete the Sports Interactive folder.
Now try launching EHM again.
Copy the backed up saved games back in if you want.

Thanks, that worked!!
Follow those instructions if anyone is in a similar situation, definitely works ^

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Weirdly, I did literally none of the above. But having seen people getting it to work on PlayOnMac, I thought I would have another go at it myself. Opened PlayOnMac up, downloaded/installed EHM, and it's alive! Now all I have to do is remember where I was a month ago!

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
You can get rosters, etc here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=75
You will need to locate where within PlayOnMac the game has been installed. You will need access to EHM's installation folder in order to install the addons.

Is this on El Capitan? Do you simply install PlayOnMac, then Steam and then EHM? Was there anything else you needed to do or any settings that had to be set in PlayOnMac?hail_grabovski wrote:Weirdly, I did literally none of the above. Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
The first time I tried it on El Capitan with PlayOnMac, I could get Steam installed and open, but it would crash whenever I attempted to download and install EHM from within Steam. As far as I can recall I made no changes of any kind; I didn't even uninstall/reinstall PlayOnMac. Just opened it up and pressed 'install' and it has all worked fine since. The only thing I did was once installed, I copied across my previously backed-up EHM folders (C/, databases, debug, editor, games, logs, print, printouts, search, searches, skins, tactics and training).archibalduk wrote:You can get rosters, etc here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=75

Re: Running EHM:EA on a Mac
Having problems starting a new game on a mac. I played EHM Early Access through Parallels with no issues at all. After having some time off, I'm back with time to play, and I went to start a new game with the new rosters. However I can't start a new game because it says there's not enough space to start a new game. I've tried the minimal selections and I get the same. I tried changing the space available to use on Parallels to more than it'd need, and still the same thing. Anyone have the same problem? Or know what to do?
