Finally, I got it. Thanks to all of you for your help. My initial impression of this community is overwhelming. Thanks for the non-judgemental help for this relative newbie. I may need help in the future with other add-ons and I know exactly where to come thanks again.

I'm glad some of the community members could help you. If you have any questions about installing any other add-on, please check the

Where did you put the 1979-80 database folder?

into a new folder in the database section.

If you've got EHM installed to the default location it should look like this...
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\1980database
All of the files should be inside there. You shouldn't have any subfolders here. If you did, that's the problem.
Also, are you starting a new game (and choosing this database) or are you thinking you can load it like a saved game?

i have it saved there and i dont have any subfolders in it, but im still not getting it to work in the game. whenever i go to start a new game it just loads the original database, no questions asked.

Then you have not updated your game to the latest patch.

Hi,
I'm trying to put the 1.0.3 roster patch from this site but when I start the game and click on Start a new game, they don't ask me if I want to use the default or custom rosters... they put the default roster on automaticly.
Please help me

Does the data folder come with the game or do I dowload it somewhere? For some reason I do not have one.

For sure, you should have data folder with your game. There are default pics and database. It's in the home directory where EHM is installed.

When I open my Eastside Hockey Manager folder all I have three folders(Logos, Names, and Pictures). Shouldn't those be in a data folder?

Yes, they should. There's something wrong with your installation. Try redownloading and reinstalling.
I've never heard of this before, sorry. Maybe someone can help.

What version of EHM are you using? When you open your EHM folder you should have 4 folders (Data, Manuals, Prefs, and Temp). You should have a "Logos" folder inside of your "Pictures" folder that is inside of your "Data" folder. I have no idea where you are getting a "Names" folder.
