Mo9 wrote:Hey Lidas, I'm not sure how many leagues you want updated and what not, but if you would like me research the Canadian Junior A Hockey League (BCHL, AJHL, SJHL, MJHL, SIJHL, NOJHL, OPJHL, CJHL, MJAHL) and the
Ligue de Hockey Junior AAA du Québec. Also I could do the PJHL (Junior B) league in Saskatchewan and other junior B leagues across Canada. Its alot of work and would take some time, but I wouldnt mind. Lemme know what you want, so I can get started if you do.
Hi Mo! I want as many leagues as possible updated... its just a matter of time. I havnt done much research by myself lately, just adding other users data, and I have plenty of more data waiting for me... If you decide to take on this project, I will gladly add it to the database as long as I dont need to do any research by myself. :joy:
Haha, alright I'll get started right away.

Its an interesting idea for sure. What does everyone think, and where can I found the rosters for those teams?
Only 2 teams has had their camp, http://theaaha.com/

But all the info is listed. Also one team Chi-Town Shooters have a minor affliate Rogue Valley Wranglers (Nor Pac)

This is how i did it on my own for craps and giggles.

Detroit Dragons
Flint
Kalamazoo
Muskegon
Port Huron

I think it would make more sence to put the EPHL teams in there. They have better players. I haven't noticed geogrraphy do be a big part of the game so I don't think it matters

To me it make since to keep teams that are in the midwest as that is where the IHL/UHL base really is.

It is a purely on the issue of if you use the EPHL you will have to move almost all the east teams to the west and to do this. But with the AAHA teams it works out almost perfect since you just about cover the missing markets.

2 teams havnt had their camps yet and havnt put out a training camp roster so we dont know their talent pools. The talent pool only matters for the first season, and if you play as one of the teams you can bring in players.

But in the end we can leave it to Lidas, to see what he likes.

AAHA teams that cover the same markets and keep the league core
EPHL teams that will give you better talent but a radical re alignment.

So I started on the PJHL last night and found out your basically going to have to create every single player in the league so it may take some time.

We are some directions on what you have to do, I got the rosters and staff done for the Tri-Town Thunder and I'll be working on the Saskatoon Quakers tonight.

All players DOB have been pushed back 2 years.

Have patience. It's better to wait for a quality project than see a half-arsed version released.
To be fair, I have to side with m0fownz0r on this one. With all respect to Lidas and the researchers, I'm not interested in all the players from the minor or junior leagues. I'd like to start a game now/soon, so if Lidas could release what he's done so far I'd be very appreciative :). Plus, it'll be more beta testing for the final release when that's ready.

I have now merged the new EPHL with IHL - into EIHL (Eastern International Hockey League).

I created the new teams Brooklyn Aces, Danbury Mad Hatters, Hudson Valley Bears, and Jersey Rockhoppers. In order to fit them in, I removed Toledo, Pensacola, and Columbia. I also moved Edmonton Oil Kings to AJHL.

I have two questions about this?

a) if we play at 2006 ad if u have the 07 and 08 draftee rights to the NHL team wont that cause the game ot crash?

b) if i move Oil Kings from AJHL to WHL and say move lethbridge hurricanes to ajhl will that cause the game to crash

a. 2000 people have downloaded it and I assume many have used it---no crash caused.

b. Who knows, depends what you do? If you do it right, no. If you do it wrong yes.

A. Everyone's birthdays have been adjusted by 2 years. Everything except the actual game date is in effect at the start of the 08/09 season.

B. No idea.

In theory, it should balance things out but in practice you just don't know. There's really only one way to find out...

Why is player movement within the team not tracked? When you click transactions, you don't get information on players who left your team VIA FA/Trade, etc.

Very frustrating.

Feel dumb for this one...how do I extract the .rar file on the mac???

Player movement in the team is tracked. There is a menu there on the right side of the screen...I forget what it says, but you just have to click on it and you will see a drop down menu which includes players out. The default one is players in.
