Those goals seemed to rattle Varlamov and he let in two more softies before being yanked. Maybe we'll see a rematch of last year's Cup Final, Wings-Pens!!
Yeah, it was a painful game to watch last night. I was expecting a good game, not a blowout. Does anyone know what Ovechkin said to Gonchar, they were talking for awhile.
I'll be at Joe Lewis Arena for game 7 tomorrow night!!! LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!
You will be holding an EHM sign won't you? :-p

Go Ducks!

At the least, I hope this game is better than last nights game, whoever wins.

Ovechkin apologized to Gonchar for the knee on knee hit. He also congratulated Sidney Crosby and told him that he hoped he wins the Stanley Cup this year.

umm... no. I go to hockey games to watch hockey not act like a tool and trying to get on TV. I hate those people who stand up and wave their arms when the puck passes them. Friggin' idiots.

I know the announcers were saying that, but did they give an interview afterward and explain that or what? I'm just curious.

Ovechkin talked about it after the game, I'm sure there is some video of it. He said he apologized to Gonchar, but when he was asked if Gonchar accepted his apology he said he did not know.

The part where he wished Crosby good luck was asked by a reporter to Sid, and Sid didn't really comment on it.

I honestly don't think Ovechkin is a dirty player, and I don't think he hit Gonchar's knee on purpose. But the only one that knows if he meant to hurt Gonchar is Ovechkin. :-k

Talk about Dubious Goal decision. Cleary never touched the puck yet he was credited with it!? Great heart by the Ducks to come back from all the times Detroit led.

Hope this isn't the end for Selanne, Niedermayer's, Giguere. I want them all back in Anaheim next year!

I was pulling for the Ducks tonight. Getzlaf's right, though.Cleary never touched it. Hiller swept the puck into the net with the back of his pad.

Boston/Carolina looks like it's headed to one hell of a finish too.

Very good game between Ducks and Detroit, I'm not happy with the way it turned out, but it was a very good game.

Boston and Carolina is another great game. I'm still pulling for Boston though...

Yeah, it was a great game, too bad for the Ducks though. But just losing with one goal and always catching up when the Wings led was great. =D>

I hope that Ducks will be this strong next year as well.

I also think that Ducks should keep Giguere, sure Hiller was great during the playoff, but if Hiller isn't performing his best next season they need to have another good keeper.

As much as i want Giguere back as he's been immense in previous years, I don't think it'll happen. I think Hiller has that starter spot nailed already. I think Giguere had a bad year and will bounce back next year, just not with the Ducks. And as much as it pains me to say it we don't need a high paid back-up and a lower paid starter. Save the cap space Ducks, re-sign Niedermayer or add a 2nd line centre, not someone like floppy Morrison this year though!

I'm not going to pick anything anymore. All my picks didn't last this second round.

I may skip this next round and just watch the finals, I have little interest in the remaining teams.

Absolutely gutted! Back in December I wasn't really expecting the Bruins to go much further than the semis but, having seen how consistently strong they continued to be throughout the remainder of the season, I really had thought we'd make it to the Conference finals.

It's a shame to see the Ducks crash out too. Having knocked out the Sharks, I was hoping they'd make it to the finals. The Sharks are another team who were very strong during the season but couldn't last the length of the playoffs.

I think out of the remaining four I'll be rooting for Minty's Chicago Blackhawks. They've had such a rough ride for years that it would be really nice to see it come good for them. Plus, I know how much Minty loves the Hawks and hates the Wings! :-D
