Yeah there have been some seriously high scoring games up in Scotland - mostly involving Braehead!

Haha! I don't think I can say much to that seeing as Paul Bissonnette has basically turned into Crosby since he's joined the EIHL!! :-D

There's a funny exchange between him and Seguin on Twitter culminating in this in reference to the news headline below:

Enjoy the game against the Devils tonight!

I have missed the last three Invicta games because of my study commitments. I was hoping to see them play Milton Keynes tomorrow but I don't think I'll be back in time from university. Hopefully I'll be able to go next week though. I'm having withdrawal symptoms - no NHL on TV and no time to go to my local games... All I've been watching over the past month is the Elite League Show on Youtube.

I love this article on the Steelers' website:
Sheffield Steelers wrote:Image

The Sheffield Steelers players are certainly taking care of Danny Meyers.

Following his injury, a concussion that will see him miss this weekends games against Cardiff the Steelers players have been taking it in turn to look after fellow player.

"It's a 24 hour job" said Jeff Legue "I spent last night with Danny just making sure he was ok

"He got a little cold in the night so we cuddled up. Matt Stephenson was on hand to make him some hot tea and he took over this morning

"Big Tom Sestito is on the roster for the afternoon session before Tomo and Hewey take over this evening"

Meyers said "This attention my team mates are taking is incredible. I would never have this kind of support in Nottingham

"Special thanks to Jeff Legue. He had a shoulder for me to rest my head and cuddle up next too. I felt so much better knowing Legge was there to look after me

"Thanks Boys"
:D

For fun, hustle and desire yes, for hockey skill no. And certainly not a league that Paul Bissonette can dominate in. :-D He was bad in junior.

I couldn't agree more. We have fun, hustle and desire by the bucketful. It's a very entertaining league - even more now we have the two conference system. The skill has come a long way too, but it's still pretty low. I guess the skill level is probably the equivalent of the lower quarter of the ECHL - or thereabouts.

P.s. I think Malkin shares your view! :D

That's a real shame - and quite a blow to the Steelers seeing as he was scoring a point per game. On the plus side, at least you have brought in a replacement quickly in Simon Ferguson. He put up some pretty good numbers last season in Denmark.

Of course he's good in this league. That's normal, he's an NHL star like Bissonnette. :-D Like Brashear was a star in the NAHL during the lockout of 04-05 with a nice 50 pts in 47 games!!! :-D
