The worst thing is, I got his user name and password saved on my browser at PopoMundo.

I found this newbie's user guide that may be of some interest even to the more established players:
http://www.freewebs.com/liocad/LioNewbieGuide.htm
This is also a useful guide:

Edit: Here's a very useful one on skills and books:

Yeah, we kinda tanked

the only one that got more than one star was April talking to and shaking hands with the crowd, I guess because of her charm/looks. Other "highlights" were the "moshpit that couldn't topple someone's granny" and of course Jeb throwing up on himself trying to drink a beer
I figure though that we'll just keep going with old system now until they put the new one in place because at that point everyone will do have to do it so we all take a step back together... tonight's show we should have over 600 people though
But at least we had all of our band members show up for the show.
Also, it's official... you really do get more out of better jam locations... today in London we went to our first five star jam and we got about 8-9% on average for ten songs with a total of over 90%! If everyone keeps working on their punk rock skill we can keep improving.

Aww nuts! I'm wanted for two counts of vandalism. So I've set my attitude to 'stealthy'

For anyone who has taken pictures: If I want to take a picture of someone, do I go to their 'interact' screen, and "use an item" which is my camera? I just want too make sure that process would take a picture of them rather than giving it to them as a gift or something... because using flowers in that same way would give them to the person.

So, TDG amigos... we don't have a show until Thursday in Paris so I guess we should just get to Paris and hang there until the show do a jam and keep practicing our punk rock skills. I got my first star yesterday which brings me to two now since I pooped to one after reading the book 'cause I apprenticed on it first, where is everyone else?

If we keep building up we can do another jam before our show and pop songs up a bit more even.
EDIT: I don't know anything about pictures
E2: I'm off to Paris, luckily all our trips will be much shorter than going NY-London, Paris is only 6 hours it says...

Yep, that's how you do it
What you want to do is go to Charts -> Paparazzi and then find someone on the list that is currently in the city you're living in (at lot of them are 'stealthy' so you won't know where they are unless you happen to bump into them). Go to the person's location and Interact -> Use Camera. Nobody is interested in publishing photos of persons not on the list.
Look at your recent diary events on your Character Profile and it will say whether your photo attempt was successful or not. You'll also see a new section in your Character Profile titled 'Photo Album'; this details all of your successfully taken photos. Theory goes that if your subject is better looking and/or has modelling skills then you're more likely to take a good photo. Also, studying basic photography helps to take really good photos (it's very hit and miss without this skill).
If your photo is good enough (probably three stars or above) then in the next Popo update you will receive news that your photo has been published.
On another note, I've been sentenced to 14 days imprisonment for two counts of vandalism. I think that's unnecessarily harsh and so I'm gonna rant to It's Pop Magazine.

I'm looking forward to Floyd's new single '14 Days in the Hole'
The bus I hitched on with was delayed 5 hrs

So I'm sure the guys who left earlier passed us by.

I asked to make their bus pull over and stop if they saw a fabulous Punk Rock Goddess standing along the road cursing at some broken down hunka junk on the side of the road

I miss the champagne from travelling April Class
This is why later on as out travel schedule is tighter we should make sure we all head out to hitch right after our shows just in case. If you want you can set your character to follow April and she'll make sure you get yer butt out of town and on the road toward the next gig.

I think Jeb is still passed out in some dark alley of London with empty bottles of Canadian Whiskey scattered all about...

Ah it turns out that I was convicted of 24 counts of vandalism
The other 22 times must have been when I did graffiti but there was already some graffiti there that was cooler. I probably deserve 14 days in prison then
I'm gonna miss our first gig, too

God darn! I have my Guitar-thing up to 3* and now I was going to buy the Electric-Guitar-book and guess what? I only have 1025 and the bloody thing costs 1035... Can someone please give me 10 bucks?
Archi: How the hell are we going to perform? I don't have any instruments, not even a mic, and you will not be there. Vinlo is beating the Adam Oates out of his drums while I will have to try to scream my lungs out hehe.

I've hit 5 stars in Punk, so I'm maxed there. Now I just have to build up my guitar skill more. Eventually I'll have to get to work on my song writing skills because I've really neglected them.
I'm in Paris and in rough shape. I had some cash on me last night but I ended up being a few bucks short for my hotel because I was going to the gym too. Sleeping on the street did some damage! I'm hoping I can get healthy and happy before our next show. We're all in such rough shape.

Not to hi-jack the Popomundo thread but I figured I'd throw this out here since there has been so much TBL involvement in this game. Does anyone have any interest in doing a TBL group in any other free games? I've been playing
Kingdom of Loathing for a couple years now. It's a fun and off-the-wall kind of game. It's an RPG but not a traditional one. If there is any interest, let me know. I can help folks get started.
And just to get back on topic with Popomundo... I'm wondering if I'm going to make it to our next gig without ending up in the hospital. I'm in rough shape. I can't even try the food trick. These people in Paris charge something like $500 for a fancy meal! I've eaten more than 10 of them before!

Kris - I've made you band leader as I'm behind bars at the moment. At least I can spend time on my songs undistracted. However, my mood is going down by the minute so I doubt they'll turn out too good. I think I'm going through the depressive stage of my career

I used to play KoL like 5 years ago.
I might be interested in starting again sometime if we can get enough interest from the rest of the sqwaaaaaaaad.
