Spoiled brat complains about training

I'm managing Frölunda HC in the Swedish Elite Leauge and I've got a bit of a problem with one of my young talents. Last season he made his first full season with the seniors and made about 30 points in about 50 games. A brilliant first season! Since I had six centers he was put on the wing and trained to be able to play there. He complained about it but eventually he learned to play LW. Now he's training just like everyone else but he still complains! ](*,) He has taken it so far that he wants to leave the club (I said HELL NO). I've tried to give him another training schedule that's identical to the other (no position training) but it doesn't seem to help. I don't know what to do, anyone know anything that I can do?

Pretty clear....you should have never left him on the training. He probably has a low adaptability rating, and is not into doing what he has to for his team. Mercenary in his scout report? Or great team guy?

My feeling is unless you remove him from LW and put him back to C.....you need to get rid of him. He will eventually corrupt your dressing room.

Adaptability has to do with different countries/languages. Versatility has to do with playing different positions.

He's determined, a strong character and aggresive. He has got a 15 in teamwork if that matters.
But there's no room for him in the middle. Not yet at least. I've got Mikael Backlund who is 38 and probably will retire soon.

Meh...you know what I meant. :-D

When you checked what positions he can play, what didit say there before you started practicing him?
Competent? Not able to? That can play a role too.

But if his adaptability....re Varlamov is low, and his personality things say he wants to be a C he wants to be a C and move him out.

Keeping someone who doesn't want to be in your team is usually not worth it. Maybe you should've granted his wish to leave the team. Sometimes, if no offers come, they might take it back later and announce they're happy to stay. If not, it's like Batdiddy said: he might corrupt your team's locker room if he feels he wants to move. No one single player is worth that much, if they aren't happy.

I'm going to try letting him playing as C in the upcoming season and see what happens.

He kept complaining even though he played C. The problem was solved when he signed with the Canes. Now he's just quietly waiting for his contract with my team to expire :joy:
