League Sizes

I did a quick search but didn't find anything that highlighted this...

Is there any way to change the number of teams in a playable league, as well as changing the number of games played?

Ideally I'd like a league with 12 teams and 50 or so games played. Is it in any way possible to make that happen?

Nope, cannot be done. League rules or size can't be changed. You can only swap teams places in different leagues.

hm. but i thought with some extra program it could be done? i had a patch made for me by Hobbit13 (i think) who changed it so the AAL-4/UHL could dress 20 man rosters instead of 18.

This is what he had sent me:
Ok here you go! Here's a link to the file you must load using ArtMoney (you then use yournormal EHM exe):

http://www.mediafire.com/?a56v6sl0rs140k2

How to use the patch:
Step 1
Download Art Money from here: http://www.artmoney.ru/e_download.htm (Free version, of course) and install it.
Step 2
Launch Art Money, ignore the ad then go to Options > Additional, then select Save/Load values in file-table. Close Art Money.
Step 3
The .amt file can go anywhere, however, it would be better to unzip it within the Table folder of the Art Money directory.
Step 5
Launch EHM and wait until you'll get to the main screen, where you can choose load saved game, start a new game, etc.
Step 6
Launch Art Money, select the EHM process from the process bar on the top of the screen under the menu bar. Click on Load on the bottom of the page and open the file ISHL.amt
Step 7
Control that your table was loaded correctly. In order to do so, the entries should have a value of 22 and 20. If they don’t, reload the patch until you see them (one attempt should be enough).
Step 9
Create a new game with your desired selected leagues
Step 10
Control that the game was created correctly. Just check the league info tab of the All American-4 and see if the roster size has changed.

You'll always need to run Art Money when using this patch.

Btw you can change the roster size and players dressed to whatever you want! Just change it at step 7.

Ah, yes, Alessandro and Archi have been working on a patch to change certain rules and have been somewhat successful, but that requires a whole lot more than just the Pre Game Editor. I was more thinking what you can do with the editor. What us mere mortals can do, you know :-D

I wish there was!

AFAIK the superpatch (http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =13&t=8739) that Hobbit13/Alessandro created only changed the number of teams in one League (Austrian EBEL league brought to 10 teams); mostly it added shoot-outs and adjusted foreigner restrictions

What they have done is figure out how to clone league rules to other leagues IIRC, they have not figured out how to actually create your own league rules.

Technically yes it is possible to change the number of teams and GP for a league. However, the ability to modify these things is very much in its infancy. I can't remember for sure whether we have absolute flexibility to change the number of teams and GP or whether it has to mirror existing leagues. I think it can be changed freely, but I'm not 100% on that. It's not that straightforward though. It involves an awful lot of trial and error via hex memory editing.

League rules can be relatively freely altered, but again it is a bit of a pain to do.
