EHM The Blue Line

Well...really i'm not creating new teams, i'm just trying to put Winnipeg and Quebec back into the NHL without any players or staff, and without having to remove any current teams. Any advice or tips/hints?

I don't know much about the editor but I know the number of teams in each league is set and cannot be changed. So i'm afraid if you want Winnipeg and Quebec in you will have to swop them with current teams in that league.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, but if it's how it's got to be, then I guess i'll have to accept that. I'll just have to do some Divisional Realigning.

Another question...if I take a team out of the league, will all Players & Staff contracted to that team automatically become free agents when I start up a new game or would I have to do that manually??

I believe you'll have to do that manually though I haven't worked much with the editor, otherwise they'll be assigned to a team that doesn't exist which I'd guess might cause problems. Also while I'm not positive on this I think you should also make sure you keep the conferences the same size as the current NHL. Someone more knowledgable with the editor could tell you for sure. It would be a bumemr to do all the work and have the game not accept it

Hey everyone, does anyone happen to know how you can put a new team into the nhl, or replace a team with a new one, like taking the jets and bringing them back ? Thanks. I tried putting a few teams in different leagues but when the season started none of the teams had a schedule generated. Once again Thanks

If you want to introduce a new team to a league, you must replace a team already in that league. The number of teams per league is hard-coded and thus set in stone.

ANd then you use the pregame editor to rename a team. So for your purposes titan124...Rename the Kootenay ICe for example the Edmonton Oil Kings...and then move players accordingly...Just an example.

Everytime i change NHL teams it works fine but when i change junior teams it always crashes...

My question about the editing teams...

If i make a OHL team invalid and then create a whole new team in their OHL division and spot will the game crash?

Should work, as long as you replace a team with another.

I've tried numerous times to remove NHL teams "TM" from their names. Anyone found a way to do it without the game crashing?

Getzlaf, I dont have a problem with changing NHL teams, the part i have trouble with is i can change OHL teams but when i do WHL the game crashes so instead of putting Edmonton Oil Kings in the game maybe i should just use a exsiting WHL team but use the Oil Kings roster?

I changed the nhl team names with the editor a few times and never had problems with it.

This game seems to act human different on different systems !?
Now I am sure someone put an artificial intelligence structure into it !

Yeah, i've noticed just from browsing the forums for over a year, that a few people have different errors depending on what they edit... Strange. Lucky me gets the 'TM' curse, not a major issue, just want em gone!

Like i want to be able to play as the Oil Kings i guess i will have to play as another team but use their roster since i cant get the game to work with the oil Kings roster
