All Star Team

I have to question the All Star-selections.

In my team, Peter Ratchuk did a fantastic seasons and won the most-points-by-defender 10 points ahead of Markov. He was first from the start to finish and played really well he also hade 3rd best avg. rating of the defenders. I was sure he would get called upp to the All Star-game but he wasn't. Instead Robyn Regehr was, and he wasn't even my second best defender, but my third after Mike Green and Ratchuk, both in points and avrage rating.

Who did Regehr blow to get called up? :dunno:

Regehr had an avarage season but the two-three previous seasons he had been outstanding and got called up.

Does the actual performance come in second and your "name" first?

Also, Ratchuk (after the seasons, 2nd in avarage rating) and winner of defensive-points wasn't even nominated for best defender

He did, however, got nominated for Conn Smyth the season after...

That's like the "Stars of the Game" awards. They don't make sense to me some of the time. I've had Samsonov score a hat trick and not even get a star of the game.

I had someone get 6 goals 7 assists and not get a star, but that was because the first three stars all had 21 points.

I love scrimmaging U16 College teams... :-D

Did anyone ever get an answer as to how the All-Star teams are selected? The selections don't make sense to me sometimes?

players reputation i think is one primary at least. I just finished a season and my first line right winger led the scoreboard whole season but his reputation was "only" superb. Still all my star rep. players got into the roster

Im pretty sure that their reputation (Star, Superb, Good, etc.) plays in as well.

Yeah I think Rep has a big thing to do with it as well.

Reputation is pretty much the story. Period.

Funny thing, I was thinking of posting this myself after yesterday.

I am currently playing a season as the L.A. Kings and it is not going very well although I am looking toward the future with the team a bit. Anyway, my top line has been doing amazing, especially Anze Kopitar, who was leading the league in scoring when the All-Star teams were selected. Not only was he not selected but no one from my team was selected either. It seemed very strange but it makes a bit more sense now that I know that reputation is a huge factor in the selection. I still find it ridiculous that the league's leading scorer is not selected to an all-star team. It's like Marc Savard not being put on the Canadian Olympic team. Oh wait...

Why Crosby isn't called to All-stargames in my ehm saves? He hasn't have very good seasons, average points about 94 points/season.

I think AI isn't the best possible in selecting rosters or anything else in the game. Silly trades, stupid award picks etc...

I've had a 5 time Norris winner not be selected to the All Star Game. It's weird the way it's set up.
