Affiliation change and player moves

I know how to switch affiliation but what is the best way to transfer all the players from team A to team B?

Ex: If Vancouver Canucks players where with Lake Erie and Vancouver switched affiliation to Utica, do I have to change one by one in the pre game editor?

Or you could use the EHM Updater.

If you use the Pre-game editor, you can filter the players by selecting 'Club playing for'. Saves time not to have to type all player names

Do you know how to do it with the Ehm Updater?

Just downloaded the Ehm Updater, I'll have some reading to do I guess! :)

Not sure if the Updater is faster than the editor, actually. I always use the pre-game editor

Switching players from Team A to Team B is probably quicker using the Updater. But this is only the case if you know how to use the Updater.

Off the top of my head, you could do it as follows:

1) Load the Updater -> Spreadsheet menu -> Create Templates
2) Load your DB in the Updater -> At the bottom of the Home Screen, select "Staff" from the Export Data drop-down menu and click on the Export button.
3) Load the exported_staff spreadsheet you created in Step #2 using Excel/OpenOffice.
4) Within exported_staff, select Row 2 (by clicking on the "2") and either use the Sort Option to sort by Club Contracted or use the Auto Filter to filter Club Contracted to filter out those players/staff contracted to Team A.
5) You should now have the players/staff from Team A listed in your exported_staff file. Copy and paste the player/staff names & DOBs from your exported_staff to your contract_update spreadsheet (this spreadsheet will have been created when you followed Step #1 above).
6) In contract_update, enter the name of Team B for each player under the Club Contracted column. Save your spreadsheet and exit Excel.
7) In the Updater click on Import -> Select you contract_update file and click on OK.
8) Done!

If I can find a way of uploading a video to YouTube to show how this works then I'll try and get something uploaded. I think it'd be much easier using a visual example.

For me, I do that faster in the pre-game editor with the filter to 'club playing for'

Yeah I think the Updater is more advantageous when you're looking at larger bulk changes. Otherwise you're best off with the Pre Game Editor.
