EHM The Blue Line

Hi there,

I have a couple of issues. I had to reinstall windows lately (Win 7) and have encountered two problems when playing EHM.

One of my saved game files will not show up in the load screen. I've re-copied the file, renamed it and the issue remains. It detects the other saved games in the directory. Is this a sign the file is corrupted?

With another saved game, when I load it up I get an error message stating "V.3.0.4. league cpp 7740" and then CTD. Any ideas what this error might refer to?

What version of the game have you got running? Are you running v3.0.4? It looks like you're running 3.0.4 but it's worth checking. If the saved game isn't appearing then it often means corruption. If you can upload both of your saved games, post a link here so we can take a look at each of them. Then we'll be able to determine whether there is an issue with your installation or whether it is with your saved games.

How do I check which version I have?

Load EHM and then click on the Preferences button (it is located in the bottom right corner of the screen). The version number is listed near the top of the Game Preferences screen.

Btw I've downloaded your saved games and will hopefully be able to test them out later this evening.

So I've taken a look at your two saved games. I get exactly the same issues as you mentioned in your first post. Here's a little more detail:

Swedish Chef_1.sav
This is the saved game which results in a number of league.cpp errors when loading and then there is a crash to desktop. I loaded it into the EHM Updater and can see that the game was created with v3.0.4 so no problems there. I can't see anything that stands out in relation to the leagues. I'll see if I can get hold of Riz. Perhaps he can explain the error. But before I do so, can you tell me what DB you were using and whether you had made any changes to teams or leagues?

Alpha.sav
This is the saved game which doesn't appear in EHM's saved game list. I'm afraid this saved game has been completely wiped clean. It doesn't have anything in it whatsoever. It's just a 119mb file full of zeros (try opening it in a hex editor and you'll see what I mean).

Thanks. I was using manimal 4.0 database. The only changes I made were to the salary cap using the saved game editor.

Hmm I wonder if somehow the Saved Game Editor has screwed something up...
