Unable to set contractual clauses & annual salaries in DB

The database gives us insufficient control over players' contracts. The two main issues that come to mind are:

1) We can't set a player's annual salary. This causes us a problem when trying to add an NHL player's contract extension in the DB because it messes up the cap hit in game. This means that we just have to leave the player's contract according to his current season's contract and not how he has subsequently extended it. [Sorry if I haven't explained this well]

2) We have no control over a player's contractual clauses. One example of where this is a big pain is when creating European prospects, they often have NHL Release Clauses in game.

Maybe this is not the place for discussion, but the NHL can sign players without NHL clauses IRL. At least from those countries signed to the IIHF contract (Russia/KHL is outside of it and maybe Switzerland, not sure)
