Canes / Caps - Not too sure if the Caps can match the Canes firepower. - Canes in 6

Pens / Isles - Isles are devastated with Injs atm. - Pens in 6

Thrash - Sabres - Always the best series in Round 1 is the 4/5 slot. Sabres have the hot hand . Sabres in 5

Western

Wings / Flames - GM Ivan is showing he is one of the top doggies. Flames are good but no match. Wings in 5

Canucks / Wild - This one will be as close as they come , but Nucks will be tough to keep off the scoresheet. Canucks in 7

Ducks / Blues - Blues have dominated the Ducks all year. Blues in 4

Oilers / Jackets - Jackets had the hand up in the league series , but Kopecky will be down for probably the first two games. Jackets in 7

East

Maple Leafs vs. Senators - - - Sens have no chance. Leafs in 4.

Hurricanes vs. Capitols - - - Petri needs to win now, that makes him hungry. Canes in 5.

Penguins vs. Isles - - - Islanders in 6. They have Kostyukhin.

Thrashers vs. Sabres - - - Thrashers is waning. Sabres in 6.

West

Red Wings vs. Flames - - - Red Wings is on it's way to Conference Finals again, Flames can't stop them. Wings in 5.

Canucks vs. Wild - - - Canucks is on it's way to challenge the Wings in Conference Finals, Wild can't stop them. Nucks in 5.

Ducks vs. Blues - - - Blues got a suitable opponent for them. Blues in 4.

Oilers vs. Blue Jackets - - - Oilers may be the sleeper of these playoffs. Oilers in 6.

EAST

Leafs vs. Sens - - Leafs in 6

Canes vs. Caps - - Canes in 5

Pens vs. Isles - - Isles in 6

Thrashers vs. Sabres - - Thrashers in 6

WEST

Wings vs. Flames - - Wings in 6

Nucks vs. Wild - - Wild in 7

Oilers vs. Jackets - - Oilers in 6, just because the old man doesn't have faith in the Isles

Leafs vs. Sens – Sens has done a great job this season but they won’t be able to compete with the Laffs. Leafs in 4

Canes vs. Caps - - Canes are very talented and they don’t have much time left to contend so they will make beat up the Caps here. Canes in 5

Pens vs. Isles - - Isles are hurting a bit, having Hill out does not look good for them. Pens in 5

Thrashers vs. Sabres - - Sabres are supposed to be rebuilding but somehow they keep winning. I’m going with an upset here so Eric will do a firesale lol Sabres in 6

WEST

Wings vs. Flames - - Flames are not good enough to compete against the Wings here. Wings in 4

Nucks vs. Wild - - Too many injuries with the Wild which will make it hard for them to compete against the Canucks. Look for Saffer to dominate here. Nucks in 5

Ducks vs. Blues - - This is a mismatch here so it will be a quick series. Blues in 4

Oilers vs. Jackets - - Oiler are overachievers so I’ll have to go with the Jackets. Jackets in 5

EAST

Leafs vs. Sens – I'm going to give one game for Sens here. Leafs in 5

Canes vs. Caps - Canes goalie is still bit unsure during the playoffs so that could hurt them. Canes in 6

Pens vs. Isles - Despite their injuries I think Isles will take this, they have more experience. Isles in 6

Thrashers vs. Sabres - Interesting matchup, I had huge difficulties last year with the Sabres but now they've traded their best players away, can't see them upsetting here. Thrashers in 6

WEST

Wings vs. Flames - Even though I'd love to give one for Flames, they're always sweeps during 1st round and Wings are just too strong. Wings in 4

Nucks vs. Wild - Nucks got the real deal in net now, despite losing Orlov for a month, Wild have even more injuries. Nucks in 6

Ducks vs. Blues - Winner of the weakest division gets strong Blues, can't see them having any chance here. Blues in 4

Oilers vs. Jackets - Jackets had Oilers number during regular season, I see that trend continuing when the playoffs start. Jackets in 5
