New York Rangers Outlook Going into 2045 Training Camp:
1) Where do you think your team will finish this season?
I'd really like to sneak into the playoffs this year. It would be the 2nd appearance in my 5th season as GM of the Rangers.
2) What area does your team need to improve upon?
Probably three areas we need to get better in: Goaltending, Consistency, and 3rd/4th line play.
3) Which rookie do you think will really surprise?
Julian McCullough - He's big and fast and can really shoot the puck: 66 goals in 68 games with Seattle, and he had 460 shots on goal!
4) Which player will have a breakthrough year?
I'm looking for the two centers I picked up last year to really have breakout years with us: Jake Hodge and Valeri Yakutsenya.
5) If you were to add a player, who would it be?
Judd Claffey - With the addition of someone like Claffey the Rangers would go from a team hoping to make the playoffs to a team hoping to win the Cup.
Tentative lines for this season:
Yannetti - Hodge - Nurmi
Yakutsenya - Schroder - McCullough
Murray - Soderberg - Cronstedt
Clayton - Macholda - Madden
(Belov)(Evans)
Hansson - Vasiliev
Gareev - Lehto
Marsh - Mitchell
(Lehto)
Jokela
Momoi

1) Where do you think your team will finish this season?
We intend on repeating in the Atlantic this season and making a run at the conference title
2) What area does your team need to improve upon?
Goaltending, with Isomaki approaching retirement, we need McNeil to step up or we will need to make a move
3) Which rookie do you think will really surprise?
Evgeny Klebnikov should make a difference this season
4) Which player will have a breakthrough year?
Jayme Gill, after having a real good showing in last years short playoff run, we expect him to bring it up a notch
5) If you were to add a player, who would it be?
Daniel Fabian, as my Dcorps are getting a bi older, he would be a nice fit

1) Where do you think your team will finish this season?
Ideally, the Devils are looking to make it to the playoffs once more, and be more competitive than last season.
2) What area does your team need to improve upon?
Goal-scoring was a weakness of this team.
3) Which rookie do you think will really surprise?
Not sure if he will surprise, but Gary Stacey should fit right into his projected role.
4) Which player will have a breakthrough year?
This is a tougher question to answer. Several players spring to mind. Olli Heinonen should take a big step forward, as should Chapman and Petrov. Up front, JP Freeman should see his best offensive production of his career.
5) If you were to add a player, who would it be?
Shayne Power. A true power-forward on the top line would be the only player the Devils would add.
Opening Night Lineup
Magnusson - Freeman - Shaw
Smirnov - Stacey - Henkelman
Vins - Lonn - Irving
Pechonkin - Bohme - Thompson, N
Kuznetsov, D
Chapman Heinonen
Fisher Turgeon
McConnell Petrov
Baird
Hulva
Gryba

1) Where do you think your team will finish this season?
- The Hawks started a total rebuild campaign this offseason so I guess it's fair to assess that we are going to be in range of 12 or below. But I'll have to add that my teams have always enjoyed most when playing as underdogs.
2) What area does your team need to improve upon?
- Our weakest area before exploding the team core was the left wing of our offense. Now I hope that our GK is the area that is NOT needing improvement.
3) Which rookie do you think will really surprise?
- I'm looking forward to see how's the young dman Lubomir Ondrejka going to adapt to the speed in the big league.
4) Which player will have a breakthrough year?
- Maybe C-P Charbonneau will be able to take the next step. He really surprised all of us last season.
5) If you were to add a player, who would it be?
- The best prospect of the next draft? Haha, just kidding... Who is the best young center of the league? Alphonso... or Bilodeau?

1) Where do you think your team will finish this season?
I’m looking to improve on last year’s 27th place finish!
2) What area does your team need to improve upon?
Everywhere! HaHa The Ducks were an old organization with little youth and no depth... while we’re looking to improve this year, this is only year two of the organizational rebuild! It’ll take time! Hopefully we’ll play close to .500 for much of the year (like last year), and hopefully we’ll not falter after the all-star game (like we did last year)
3) Which rookie do you think will really surprise?
I’m looking for Lovell to be a top 6 forward
4) Which player will have a breakthrough year?
I’m not sure…
5) If you were to add a player, who would it be?
A young, future superstar defenceman (like Chambers, who I really liked at the Draft, but I went with Lovell)
