Hello,
I have just been playing around with the pre game editor 2007 for my EHM EA game and have found that after removing the GM from the Toronto Maple Leafs in the editor a new GM is randomly added to the Maple Leafs at the start of a new game. Why does the game do this, is it something that is hardcoded into the game, is there no way I can start a game without a GM being in place?
In return for answering my query and being a sucker for accurate information I would also like to point out that I am interested in the possibility of helping with future roster updates in order to help make the database as accurate as can be.
Thanks

Re: Roster Editing Query
Hmm this is not something I would have expected to happen. Is it always the same GM? Is he randomly created or is he somebody from the database? I might try this one out myself later.
As for helping out. We're always happy for new people to help out! Just drop Manimal a PM if/when you're interested.

Re: EHM:EA adds GMs to teams without a GM in the database
This is a known issue, but I do not know why or how this is happening.
From the 2007 version,
I know it happens in North America, at least with the professional teams.
AHL teams can sometimes get a GM that is with a junior team, for example.
I worked around it somehow by making the head coaches into GM/Head coaches on teams that does not have a GM(or has the NHL AGM as GM)

Re: EHM:EA adds GMs to teams without a GM in the database
Thanks for the replies, I tried 2 saves and it added a different GM from the database each time.
I'm no expert with programming/coding but I'm guessing that the game must be coded in some way to automatically assign a GM to teams in the NHL when a GM is not present and as such this is something which I assume Riz and the team at SI would have to change in a future update.
Anyhow thanks again for your time, Manimal I have received your PM and I will reply soon.
