I've noticed that star free agents asking for $10 mil or more in free agency will tend to stay on the open market until training camp begins. They will also usually sign 1 year deals. This happened for Ovechkin and Malkin in my game. Giroux did sign a 2 year deal. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else so far.

happens often, yes.. i think because teams dont know how to use cap wisely we need an option to up cap a little each year, but others don;t think so.. ohh well.
